Zpart-dude! That was the best. Epic music for an epic show. I just loved it when he punched Rossiu and it did the "This is Sparta" line. Genius! Nice find man. I can't find parallel 5. And i really wanna see it. I've seen the OVA with the bunny robot. "USAGGON KIIIICK!" Love it. @Jaydel, they've released a few (I don't know what number their on now, as I can't find 5) 3/4 minutes(ish) short movies. That are set in parallel worlds. No words, but music from the OST. Thanks Z! Wow! The vid is short!! Oh! I watched that before! I still tot it was a new series for Gurran's trailer! How nice if they really had such an anime~~ Paralle works 2 is funny!!! Can't really understand #3 other than saw alot of the gals in Gurren~ #4 made the usual good guys look like baddies~ When watching #5, I was like... WTF!! but ya... is funny! I've only got 1 word for #6... POWERFUL!!! |

I just finished this yesterday and by god i was overcame by the manliness of the show... I never thought i'd seen another show with a power level comparable to Dragon Ball... In only 27 episodes and is actually overflowing with WIN! Galaxy sized fight? THROWING galaxies? Even DB hasn't done that... Man, this show is all about shounen series. Epic battles, romance, friendship, mecha (a mecha riding ones at that!), huge-ass spaceships, GAR peoples, strong puchlines, monsters, aliens, hot chicks, fighting spirit that overcomes everything... All in 1 show. Just how epic is this show?? Anyway, i think i'm seeing some strange videos... What's that medieval looking setting? I never heard anything about it... Because i started paying attention to GL just a few days ago... :P Please tell me if there are series related to TTGL! |

oh yeah another TTGL convert!hahaha @sai its good to see you like this show even if its mecha..( i read somewhere that you dont like mecha?) hell yeah the show is full of EPIC WIN! and all crammed into 27 episodes of epicness!hahaha the strange videos are called gurren lagann parallel works..alternate/parallel stories that act as a MTV of sorts for the soundtrack...there are 6 videos and all contain epicness of their own..(except for the third one..i didnt get that one at all..too artsy) plus a movie is scheduled for sept 6..focusing on the first 15 episodes! as for series related to TTGL it kinda contains parodies/homages to other gainax mechas like the diebuster like pose and mecha design/moves plus that episode of the hot springs, the hostesses girls are from different gainax shows..like diebuster and evangelion!hahaha |

lol, yeah i don't really watch mecha. FMP at the most, but that's just to see sousuke and kaname XD I watched this thanks to my friend's reccomendation, he said i'll like it even if it's mecha. Yup, he got that right... But this one mecha is different! It's not all machines or all that technical stuffs to make it move. it's about spirit! You remember the first time the gurren lagann appear? That method of gattai made me laugh so hard... XD Just jam it in with a bang, and you're done! You can even combine with the moon that way XD Cool and deatiled mecha transformation (like the transformer) or gattai scene is not really my thing. I prefer humanly spirit (which made kamina my hero a few days ago :D) and this show has more than enough of it... Oh, right, so those are some soundtrack videos... i researched a little... :P |

Hahah~ I'm similar to SAI in the sense that I dun really like mecha and I too did watch FMP for the 2 main character... I'm still waiting for that 2 to really really get together! I guess one thing I like about GL is the humour... and I really really hated the scene that Kamina died... and I also hated the scenes when Simon became a weakling after his death. Yeah! I saw he weakling simon handing the sword to evil GAR kamina... I was like ROFL+WTF!!! hahah!! When did Simon became his servant?! hahaha!! |

Didn't he blush madly when he gave him the sword? Welcome to the TTGL fold Sai! I remember seeing the Evangelion girls in the hot bath ep. That was crazy like wow. But I wouldn't have recognised any Diebuster characters as I've never seen that! I think that one of the scenes i really was when S(h)imon punched Rossiu. That just needed to be done! And it went proper Gainax styley. ala FLCL. *Hails Kamina*

that's what makes gurren lagann an anime worth of everyone's attention its a mecha but it can still attract non mecha fans alike... it is pretty shallow but can be pretty deep as well (moral questions like "what will you do with the 1 millionth person? kick him out of the planet?") it can be make mecha fans scream in delight with the new gattai versions (but kinda felt forced since all the new varations were used only once and never really shone like the original GL) and non mecha fans wanting more GAR AND HOTBLOOD cant complain with the "my overwhelming spirit and will power can kick reason out of the curb" theme to it... no matter how you view it,its awesome good fun! we need more anime series like TTGL! plus i can't wait for the movie!hahaha] @kirky that punch and kamina's punch to simon feels like the TTGL version of the BRIGHT SLAP! haahaha |

I'm so up for epic GAR and HOTBLOOD moments dude! And Tengen provides them for me ;) Now forgive me if i'm wrong z-man. The Bright slap, is that the "Even my own father didn't hit me" quote? haha. I only found it recently because of Genshiken manga, so i looked at the clip on youtube and it was the most amazing thing EVARRRRR.

Hahaha, yeah, I've got the whole Soundtrack (the 'TTGL BEST SOUND' is what's its called I think), and Libera Me from Hell is a cool song. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too nerdy for my own good, and although I think I'm not, one day I want to be able to say (purely for kicks), "One does not care to acknowledge the mistakes of one's youth".
