山下 Yamashita 明 Akira Yep that's my name. To be honest, half of me doesn't seem to be thrilled while the other half is all like "omg, that's my Japanese name!!!" I kinda doubt it... in a way...
Everything I say is a lie. Except that. And that. And that...

Re: What's your japanese name?

My Japanese name... Well, my real english name being Chris, → in romaji = Kurisu → katakana/hiragana = ãり㙠or クリス, And finally the kanji... i prefer "苦りã™â€ã€€although there may be better translations. I dunno, the sound of "suffering squirrel" just sounds awesome. Otherwise, my name literally meaning "Follower of Christ (Christopher)", and in some religions, "Christ" is the same as "god"... I can logically use "神(as for the use of "god")†in my name. Next would be the "follower" which in that case would simply be the verb in Japanese w/o the "u" trailing off the end of it. As it seems, there is no true verb for "to follow" (correct me if I'm wrong please) so instead I'm going to use something slightly more... prophetic. I'm going to take "foot" out of the word footsteps (no so much "taking from" but using with the understanding that thats where it comes from.) and put it together with "god". In effect, i think i pretty well come up with "神足" or "gods feet"/"god foot". As this is I'm content with the uncertainty that these may not be viable kanji for names, and that "kamiashi" may not sound authentic or may not be using the correct version of their pronunciations - as many kanji have more than one. Anyway... Im happy with "神足" unless someone has a 1 or 2 character substitution for "foot". I was thinking the word "subordinate" but I'm too lazy to look that up and learn it... All of my japanese is situational to my positions in Japan. So, please correct me if I'm wrong ^^
Meh~ time to die lol

My japanese name is 中島 Nakashima (center of the island) 一真 Kazuma (one reality). Thats what the generator gave me for Cohen, Paul. However the pronuction directly in katagana is Ko-he-n, Po-o-ru. ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ« I don't have the software to type up Ko, he, and n but for most people they should get the idea. My japanese name is 井上 Inoue (upon a well) 海斗 Kaito (big dipper of the ocean). Thats what it gave me for Paul, Cohen. |
