Their 15th or 20th? Their 15th has to be the best, though it didn't have their new stuff, including "My Heart Draws a Dream".

Oh, they didn't have their 20th yet, so it's not released yet,
but I can't wait until they do, though it'll be a bit until videos get uLed online and stuff.
You have to get the DVD somehow. I remembered they celebrated both Yukihiro's and Ken's birthday and that was cool.

I cannot wait for their 20th L'Anniversary. Rumor has it, it's going to be one of the largest venues ever, and it should be!
If you've ever noticed with this band, they've had insanely large concerts since their visual days, from what I've seen online anyways.

Can't wait for real live versions of their recent songs, it should be a party for sure.

On another subject, to be honest, I can't stand how other people say Laruku is totally overrated in that other music thread.
I can understand if they say a bit overrated, but this band is not hands down entirely overrated.
I've noticed most, if not all members saying that it's only because of fan girls,
but there are a ton of bands, specifically visual and male pop group bands that would be more popular if based on female fandom, than Laruku.

I'ma be honest with you, I'm one of the hugest fans of Laruku on this board, though I can say honestly I'm not a fan of every track they record.
It's hard to do that with every artist, band, group, etc., it's just normal, nobody's perfect,
and the fact that this band has continued to excel over time, over the years, proves that they're just great.
Maybe people don't like them because of their style of J-Rock, not being like mainstream J-Rock/Pop style?

I respect everyone's opinion though, as I'm expressing my own. o(-_-)b

I agree that L'arc is not overrated, i mean, all of them are established composers, + they have years of experience.
how can you call that overrated? they are like, totally natural. tetsu plays his 5-strings bass guitar like so well, ken can play his guitars so well. yukihiro and his drums . .. i mean, have you seen how many things are on that set he's on each time a PV is released and concerts? a double bass + all the other stuffs..
and of course, not forgetting hyde and his natural vocals.

yeaaah not all of their tracks are awesome, but still those are artists for you. they try their best to compose music and bring out their feelings to us, so yeah.
k im done. xD

Funny you bring them up about Yukihiro, most of their PVs, he has such a simple, close to standard set,
where as during live performances and concerts, he has three FULL sets to choose from.

I found all three sets online one time, last year, when I did a research paper on them.
It had all his toms and cymbals laid out accordingly, for all three sets he has.
Also, while researching, I found out that tetsu collects basses, and he has over 120 in his collection!

Ready Steady Go! is an awesome, awesome, awesome song. At first I didn't like it, but then I realized that my TV must've been weird or something when I was watching FMA, cuz that song is catchy~

i miss them. very much. i've been waiting for new songs, new videos, anything new from them. they've been in hiatus for long. i'm so addicted to l'arc i tried hard to find all of their albums. also those singles which include punk en ciel versions. great band. the first ever jrock band that i've liked and got addicted to. They are also connected to my most loved anime (rurouni kenshin) since they sung niji and 4th avenue cafe, which makes me more addicted to them. (two of my favorites in one shot. :D)

can i ask questions here? :D i've downloaded midi's of rurouni before and i noticed that one of the songs is "farewell", song of laruku. is it also part of the series' soundtrack? i have watched rurouni kenshin over and over again but i still can't find where the track has been played. or is it not?

sorry. i took to much space. :D

[@limey] Try checking out the Ready, Steady Go!! singles album,
featuring a HYDEless version, Yukihiroless version, Kenless version, and tetsuless version.

[@tininu] Can't really remember. Have you checked the OSTs of the series?
You reminded me of 4th Avenue Cafe, which I left out on this little mix-tape CD I made of Laruku to play while driving, ha. :O

@DA: is that reply for me? :D yup. i've already checked the soundtracks but i can't find it. it really bothers me because before i heard the farewell of larc i heard first that midi version from "rurouni kenshin midi files". so when i heard larc singing with the tune i thought "so they had 3 tracks for rurouni?"... which until now i can't verify truly.

Oh yes it is, it's weird, I spelled your name wrong (unintentionally). Weird, but anyways...

They have a song called "Fare Well", not sure if it's the same: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_(L%27Arc-en-Ciel_album)

That's one of his side projects (other than his solo stuff).

I think VAMPS is doing a tour, but I might be confusing it with another band.
I'm the same though, I said this before but I'm not really a huge fan of any of their side projects,
but together as Laruku, they're one iconic band for sure...
Their one song though, "Gotta Kick Start" or something isn't so bad, kind of catchy.

Anyone check out Ken's single "S'z" or something? It's funny cause he's by himself.
The only side projects I've never heard was tetsu's; I forget what he does I think he just relaxes, lol.
Everyone else are in bands are doing their own projects with limited success,
but I think tetsu produces and composes other music since they're all capable of producing good music outside of Laruku.

[EDIT] Wow they're Live in Paris is sugoi awesome. I need to finish one more part for the second CD, but wow, CD 1 is cool.
Maybe my favorite "My Heart Draws a Dream" performed live,
but during the intro to 'Seventh Heaven', Ken hurt himself badly on one of the fireworks.
It shot up and hit him right next to his left elbow, and they had to take about a five or so minute break.

Before this though (lol), he spoke to the crowd in French and probably got a better response then HYDE did. :P
Also, they performed what is now my favorite version of Stay Away (Triangle Formation), because Yukihiro does the ending vocals!

And on a sidenote, Ken's vocals were so awesome!
The one lyric before he changed to drums was so funny.
