My Japanese name? Well, you're looking at it. Just as same with my display name. Hayashi / Lin = Forest Tokuyou / Deyao = Shining Ethics Because if I take the Kun'yomi spelling for the name it'll be too long(oshiekagayaku). If I type oshiekagayaku with "Bias for Names" setting what will be the output? æ•™ãˆè¼ã oops :P Trying that random generator: -From my English(actually from Indonesian) name(Calvin Limuel): æ¾å°¾ Matsuo (tail of a pine tree) å¤§è¼ Taiki (large radiance) -Full name(Calvin Yehezkiel Limuel): æ¾å°¾ Matsuo (tail of a pine tree) 三åƒä»£ Michiyo (three thousand generations) -My Mandarin name pinyin(Lin Deyao): æ¾å°¾ Matsuo (tail of a pine tree) æµ·æ–— Kaito (big dipper of the ocean) -Splited(Lin De Yao): æ¾å°¾ Matsuo (tail of a pine tree) å¤§è¼ Taiki (large radiance) -My Mandarin name pinyin with modern Japanese order(Deyao Lin): 猿渡 Saruwatari (monkey on a crossing bridge) å¤§è¼ Taiki (large radiance) -Splited (De Yao Lin): 浜野 Hamano (seaside field) æ‹“æµ· Takumi (open sea) -My Mandarin name with hanzi (林德耀): é•·è°·å· Hasegawa (long valley river) 亜門 Amon (asian gates) -My Mandarin name with hanzi and with modern Japanese order (德耀林): é•·è°·å· Hasegawa (long valley river) å¥å¤ª Kenta (healthy and plump) Whoa I have lots of names ^^. The codename's r3ck0rd. Find me in my Facebook Profile Page, or in my blog.

<< Or if I use my full full name: Makoto (Sincerity) <--- my fav. Which 1 of these is ur fav name? =p >> Makoto is a great name, so thats my fav too. There are many ways to spell it in kanji, but it means Truth, sincerity, faith. Things like that ^_^ No sure I would want to be called Monkey Crossing though :P however there is another kanji spelling of Saruwatari that means "Gone across" 去渡 . traditionally the crossing (watari) is over water. |

Dragonfly wrote: "some one can say why?" This generator only picks up certain key words for translation, eg put in Blackriver Bright as your name and you get Kurokawa Akira, which is a correct translation, but put in words it can't translate because they arent words in its dictionery (most names!) and you get something that looks as if it was picked at random. So basically for most peoples names the result has no meaning in relation to their name. Foreign names can be translated into kanji names, but you would need something a lot more sophisticated than this. I think there is a site somewhere that gives most common Western names and gives a good Japanese equivalent, if I can find it again I will post it. |
