Heya guys! Wassup??? Here's a new pic! Without You's amazing real-life work inspired me to try drawing real people more often, so enjoy! Sorry, also, but I dunno how to shade facial details too well yet heh heh...she also looks a bit creepy lol   Now then, @Eureka, NOOOO, you're awesome on this thread! Don't let it be the last of ya! I'll expect you back soon, so until then, temporary sayonora! @Curry, thanks for both of your compliments! I like the Ayanami sketch myself too! @Without You, Wow! You're a huge contributer here and it's great to see such variety! Pic 1: That's a very solid mecha design! It has a classic anime feel to it, kinda reminds me of the old Dragonball style mecha! Very cool! Pic 2: Even better mechs! The jet here looks really stylish and cool! I love the concepts here too! Quite nice! Pic 3: It's great to see the practice here! Hair is a pain to master, simply for all the variety and styles, and you've obviously got a firm grasp on it! Impressive! Pic 4: That's a fantastic sketch! It's gonna look absolutely amazing when finished! I especially love the perspective and detail in the character! Impressive! @Red Rackham, nice! Pic 1: Excellent! @roqstar: I am glad you like my work. More often than not real life looks like manga. :) If you practice on real life stuff, you will have no problem drawing manga. I like your new pic. Everything seem natural. Was it drawn from live or a photograph? @red: Very creative. I like it a lot. It could easily be part of a storyboard. Here is what I doodled up while in a family function. It is just a practice page. I haven't used the carcoal pencil for a long long time and I didn't realize how much of a punch it gives because of the intensive darkness it produces. Eyes and lips are fun to draw because to evoke a lot of emotions.   |

Reminds me of myself XP I always put my pencil on my mouth, aside from my ears and above my lips dattebayo~ oωo @ Without You Weeh~!! the lips and the eyes are amazing~! Well, I did this during class time, I was so bored and I don't want to sleep so I just scribble some stuff on a paper, just practicing comical emotions for my upcoming comedy comics dattebayo~!! whew. chinese new year is finally over. happy lunar new year yo! back from a weird visit to some place called seramban in like malaysia.. and stuff. i collected plenty of red packets though ^-^ heh. this is probably my first post in this thread without any drawings from me... oh well. omfg. theres like. a billion new drawings. i shall attempt to comment.. ... oh god. too many. i fail. mm. like the watercolors by benfok were really realistic, and nice. although i do find the second pic disturbing.. for more reasons than just teh nudity.. and also.. ah, gackts drawings were really cool. haha, i find that drawing style really interesting. tori's shading is good, and roq's drawings are excellent! dude roq, i admire you for posting so many comments everyday.. you really rock! dark's mokona is really cute. i like mokonas. i wonder how people design these weird animal sidekick thingys.. i mean.. plue, mokona, pikachu.. wtf man! i should try and make one. and sai's saiduck is really. evil. and amusing. and well made and colored. does finding evil stuff amusing make me evil too? ah well, i'm evil anyway. and turtle is amazing for drawing so many pages of comic. and imppy? imppy is teh sensei, and will always be. forevermore. shinji and dragonfly and red's colorings are really nice, too. eto.. sorekara... APPLE JUICE IS BETTER THAN MILK AFTER EATING GARLIC. will post a drawing tomorrow. i swear this upon my honor as a.. uh. as uh. a tomato?   |

@Imppy: Very nice sketch. I love the dynamic/flexible style. Very free spirited and yet demonstrate full control of the pencil. Excellent job. I found interesting that your character all faced the left. I know I have difficulty drawing character that faces right. I know it is a matter of mirroring but I just find it hard to draw properly. :) |

Hey everyone! Thanks a lot for the comments on the previous pic! Here's a new pic! It's technically not "new" to me, I drew it like 4 months ago, but hey enjoy anyway! These are body sketches for female characters. I used this to practice body structure and stuff like that. Sorry in advance for mild tasteful nudity.  Yeah, I'll post something actually new soon! @Without You, you've got a point! Real life and manga kinda melt together after a while. I'll be sure to practice more and see the similarities! Already I've noticed the realistic proportions of eyes and mouths in anime especially. My pic was drawn from a random photo I saw online. I thought the pose was interesting so I just had to try it out! I've really no idea who that is though lol. Pic 1: EXCELLENT! I love your skill with human features! It's very impressive to see these lip and eye structures done with such detail and variety! Quite cool! This is a great training tool for the rest of us too! Thanks very much for the post! @Imppy, thanks for you kind comments! It's great it reminds you of yourself! It's also great to know where you keep your pencils! Very cool! @turtle: I love all the frames you have from layout to detail. All perspectives are very well thought out. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your exam. @Roq: The figures you've drawn is very similar to evangelion style, which is very faminine. I think you did a great job with the sketch. Since I am a man, I always find female figures more pleasing to they eyes than man's figure. :)) Personally, I like more realistic looking manga, like city hunter or Mononoke Hime. I do like animes such as Suzumiya Haruhi but it would have to have a great story line. Just the big eyes and cute looking chics just doesn't cut for me. But that's just me. :) |

I've just noticed it XD yeah, it's a hobby that I always draw heads that are facing left, I mean, not only my character, but most of my doodles too dattebayo~! I gotta stop that habit though, I also have to practice heads that face right and frontwards @ roq Weeh~!! Girl anatomy dattebayo~! Luv it~! I find drawing the female anatomy pretty easier than the male, because the male's body is more detailed and complex especially when it is buffed and stuff tebayo~ ¯\(o3o)/¯ but anyway, my friends think it's weird of me having that habit of putting my pencils on my face, but I take that as a compliment since I want to be weird and unique dattebayo~! Weeh~! XD Lol, nickelodeon~! Osha~!! I was formerly a cartoonist, so I can still remember old cartoony faces for my humorous comics dattebayo~ XD but actually I was inspired to bring those kinds of drawing styles back when I read vgcats comic, their expressions are so funny dattebayO~!
