Yeah, Angel Sanctuary was only 3 episodes but it was really good :) The shortest anime I've watched was Papa to kiss in the dark. It was yaoi and I got defects but I still liked the story. :D  |

King of Fighters, only 3 episodes, also Alien 9 (I think it's a movie but...) which only has less than 10 epi. And they're not speical animes or OAVs...they're regular.  |

Puny puny poemy. Its the shortest anime I know of its only 2 episodes long and made by the people who made Excel Saga.

Not including OVA's, REC is a mini series with 9 episodes, all of them short. In timed length, it could be comparable to Furi Kuri. Don't know for sure, though. Azumanga Daioh, although consisting of many short episodes, was orginally aired as comic shorts. These shorts were compiled later as the episodes we know. |

did anyone already mention Omishi Magical Theater: Risky Safety? I only got to watch 4 episodes... but each ep was only 15mins long so all those four were just enough for an hour :) shortest series for me
