hey zparticus. try stealing her away from this other man with a super extravagant confension, and be quick about it. At this point what have you got to lose.

zparticus, the purpose of this thread is just to let out the steam. not everyone's life is all love hearts and daisies. We just have to let it out somehow other than smash and destroy the nearest thing or person within reach.

the more you plan and strategise (like what you said), the more disappointment you'll have if you don't get what you want.

I prefer to have a "come what may" attitude towards things like these. being too forceful won't help me and anyone else. Heck yeah of course you'll get disappointed if you don't get what you've been craving for, but it's just to a lesser degree if you don't think too much about it.

and it's a cliche, but she isn't the only fish in the whole ocean.

Aww poor Nigthmare. I understand what you are going through completely w/the whole school is important. My parents are like you need to attention 2 school and whatnot. They like keeping me caged up I can't even have a gf let alone a bf they would freak out I know how they are they say they love me but its just bullshit they tell me so I won't feel bad. Nightmare it always helps 2 have a support system think of this forum as a support system. You get to express your feelings and let out all the anger, sadness, hatred that way it doesn't bottle up and make you sick. Well I really hope things turn out great 4 you.
P.S. Don't give up on the gf department trust me I know esp. since I have a lot of gfs and homegirls who are looking for guys who still believe in chivalry. So don't give up there are more fish in the sea and you will meet some1 eventually so don't give up hope. If you ever want to e-mail me 2 u know just talk about shit and how hard it is to live a goth/metalhead lifestyle just drop me a line ( priestofra@msn.com) later.

I'm not saying that their reasons aren't valid. To say they aren't would be arrogant of me because everyone has a unique background. I'm new and don't know anyone so I guess that's why I can be stone cold. But to clarify my statment, you shouldn't let it consume every aspect of your life. Persevere. Find inspiration in other things and as I've read through a few of these posts, take comfort in the friends you can open up to on here.

It's fine to say that depression is a personal weakness, and sometimes it actually is, but if you'd bothered to read the previous posts you would have discovered that most of the people here have valid reasons for being unhappy.

I agree that art in the west hasn't fully grasped anime as a whole. Every art class I've taken has been all about history and basic techniques. Teachers are narrow-minded, curriculum based, idiots. It's rare to find an open-minded one. So draw however you want, art is a free-flowing concept.

And as far as depression, my take on it is that it's ok to be sad but to prolong saddness is just the weakness of your own will. The first post I responded to was titled "How would you like to die?" After reading through the replies I noticed everyone wanted to die in an outlandish and spectacular fashion. If life is so short and death is inevitable why not live your life in the same fashion you want to die in? Action echoes infinitely in the pools of eternity. To dwell on past atrocities is to be drowned and forgotten in the waves of those left with strength.

Western art can never understand the new style in anime, manga, and final fantasy style

Well, I guess if her art teacher wanted her to draw pictures that were perfectly anotomically correct... but art that has to be exactly like reality is sorta stupid... it doesn't leave any room for creativity.

speaking of artform, a chick in my year during highschool loved drawing characters from Final Fantasy series, and draw other things in anime or manga style. She was like doing it one day during high school art class and the teacher was like hell criticising her art as unrealistic. Say the eyes are out of proportion (probably the large eyes characteristic in JP animated art), I forgot what was said but yeah.

no problem, seki. heh. and yeah, i wondered that too about lady rin. a lot of adults that i find just don't take anime seriously, as an interest or even less as an art form... and i don't think nightmare's leaving, don't worry. once in a while we all disperse for a bit and then come back together, i think.

nya........... hehe.

well, we are all here to share our problems Lady Rin, feel free to post. By the way, since you are married wif kids and all, how did you came to be on this forum anyways? I'm curious, coz generally most adults want nothing to do with anime, even if they dont dislike it. I said generally coz from what I see, adult anime fans are a minority.
