I think the only people who witnessed the jutsu being used on Naruto when he was younger, were dark guys in cloaks and such, so their appearance is the only way to identify them because they're only used as a figure of reminiscent.

Was Yondaime like Naruto at age 13? Careless, lack of fighting strategy, etc.? I don't think they are the same person just shrunk. Didn't Jiraiya say one time to himself (while training Naruto), that Yondaime died?

DA: I'm pretty sure that Yondaime is dead. Not only did Jiraya say something about that, but the 4th Hokage said that he died protecting those he loved... Or something along those lines. ><  |

He didn't seal the curse on his own stomache, and I'm pretty sure they aren't the same at all. The close thing that can be possible, is them being father/son, in this case they look similar, but not the same. If you classify both characters, it's not possible at all. If it was true, we wouldn't be talking about it...

I think (for me), that information would've been revealed a long time ago. Also, didn't Kakashi say that Naruto didn't have parents. In fact, I think I remember this perfectly. [flashback] It's when Kakashi was with Sasuke. He tied him up with some type of ninja wires that they use, and Sasuke said that Naruto knew nothing about how his life was going on. The downfall and experiences he's been through. Then, Kakashi said to Sasuke, that Naruto did know about his pains. You've seen Naruto as a kid with the Kyuubi shadow and everyone walkin' by him, but he also pointed out and said that he didn't have any parents. Naruto's only father type figure, is his first sensei, Iruka-sensei, there you go. That part was pretty sad though... [edit] I'm bringing up discussion like you wanted.

Kakashi's 9 Ninja dogs (which I saw again, whee~) would've found his scent, tracked him down, etc. I think the "wrinkly old lady" ~Naruto (in Shippuuden) said that, too. Well, to theorize, he could be a live (even though he's not), but he won't be in the Akatsuki. The Shinobi in that group, are "unique".

Know what your pointing out DA.... but do you still remember the sealing technique which the 3rd used? he did used his own body for sealing...and as an exchange, the 3rd died so you mean that while executing the jutsu, 4th used Naruto's body? that seems pointless after all...if he trully wants to protect the villagers of KONOHA, then why did he used NARUTO then? Was the third and fourth hokage's sealing jutsu the same? I do remember the third one. [side note] If you know what episodes these happened, post 'em so I can have a better understanding. Too much talk of this and that lately and we need to talk more in Shippuuden, like... what's going to happen next. The past is the past... shall we move on? ^_^
