leave the explaining to me. lessee...your character is at level 15 right now, and you decided to make your character a speed type, and i see that the stats is ok... now then...for the table, for example, in your case, you're a level 15 Magic Swordsman. so simply check the table for the magic swordsman and look for the lv range of 11-20 and look under it to allocate your stats. it must be less than what is stated. for example, your attack will be less than 100. it cannot be more than that once you're level 20, unless you make your character an attacker type. as you can see, under each tables, there's a note. for Magic Swordsman its 'Note:your attack, defense, speed and intelligence for Sword Mage and Magic Swordsman can be rearranged, depending on the build of your character.' what this is trying to say is you can rearrange the stats. example: originally, it's: Stats Lv 1-10 Lv 11- 20 Lv 21-30 Lv 31-40 Lv 41-50 Lv 51-60 Lv 61-70 Lv 71-80 Lv 81 -90 Lv 91-99 Attack <50 <100 <150 <200 <350 <400 <500 <650 <700 <750 Defense <50 <75 <100 <150 <250 <300 <400 <450 <500 <650 Speed <20 <50 <70 <100 <125 <150 <225 <275 <350 <400 Intelligence <50 <100 <150 <200 <350 <500 <550 <600 <650 <700 but you decided to have a better speed. but you need to swap something for speed, so you decide to change it with your intelligence. now the table becomes like so: Stats Lv 1-10 Lv 11- 20 Lv 21-30 Lv 31-40 Lv 41-50 Lv 51-60 Lv 61-70 Lv 71-80 Lv 81 -90 Lv 91-99 Attack <50 <100 <150 <200 <350 <400 <500 <650 <700 <750 Defense <50 <75 <100 <150 <250 <300 <400 <450 <500 <650 Speed <50 <100 <150 <200 <350 <500 <550 <600 <650 <700 Intelligence <20 <50 <70 <100 <125 <150 <225 <275 <350 <400 also, you'll need to remember that you can only swap with your character's strength. you can't swap intelligence with speed, making you faster, but less intelligence, and decide to make your character have more intelligence by adding that 150 points strength. once you decide to swap your intelligence for speed, you'll have to add in that 150 points strength to speed and speed only |

@ Kay: Kinda hard for me to get what the abbreviations mean. I can see the first line is Gin, Kay and outbreak, but the rest got me off. Nonetheless the row idea is a good idea. |

@Ugo, hmm...good point. but we still have to remember that during battle, not more than 9 characters can participate, but there can be as many back ups as we like, but not more than 6 oh yea,for the party thingy...it'll be like this when in battle xxx <1st row: swordsman, martial artists, sword mage, magic swordsman, genesis, maestro xxx <2nd row: gunslinger, mage, buffer, archer, sword mage, magic swordsman, genesis, maestro xxx <3rd row: archer, genesis, maestro, mage, gunslinger, buffer oooooo <4th row: backup. when one person in battle is down, another character can come in, but he or she must be able to fight in that row. eg, a swordsman in the first row is down and a mage in the 2nd row is down.there's a gunslinger for backup.the gunslinger will step in for battle but, he can't replace the swordsman, only the mage also, since Gin, Kay and Outbreak has Shia, Cthaqa, Ithuqa and Anna... GKO CIA Sxx after Gin and Shia react and Outbreak and Anna react, and Kay uses Cthaqa and Ithuqa's ability, GKO backup comes in GKO M,GS,SW Ar Sm hope this battle style is ok. |

@ Xeroblade: Alright, right above me is the stat distribution table Kay made, just go off of this. @ Kay: Nice job, but on the pet thing, I still think it would be appropriate to allow them to fight. Pets in a fight are more useful then just carrying stuff. If you got yourself a Horse for example, it's possible to mount that character to increase your speed and such. Or if your pet was somthing like a green sparrow (which spcializes in healing) it can recover some of a character's HP. The main argument here is so that the pet character is more useful than just extra carrying space. |

@Ugo, i'm actually thinking one pet per character is enough. also, they can't catch boss monsters and their pets won't be able to fight in battles. i'm doing the status distribution table as we speak. i'm kinda low on time so it might take awhile edit:ugh...having trouble with the table edit 2: table done. Status distribution table: Swordsman,Archer,Gunslinger, Martial Artist
Mage,Buffer
Sword Mage, Magic Swordsman
Assassin:
Extra notes: add in an addition 150 points to the status your character specialize in. for example, my character specialize in speed, which is why its speed is more than that is stated above. another example is Gin's specialty is in strength, which is why he has more strength despite being at level 59. take note that you can have only one specialty area of either Attack, Defense, Speed or Intelligence. more notes: please take note that Genesis and Maestro stats won't be added in the table since calculation of both Genesis and Maestro is a bit more troublesome since they'll need to use all three tables for calculation. so for now, only my character can use these two jobs. |

@ Kay: that's a good idea for catching outside monsters, however I'm keeping the pet limit for characters 1. However there can be a new class "Monster Rancher" Which can have 10 monster units (however at max only 2 can be in a single fight) Alternatively people can create their own pet character if they wish. Those Recovery item are pretty great, I'll make a link to them later on in the plot post. I plan ot make up a few other items latero on. I'm planning to think up of the lower monsters for the lower classes, forgive me if I seal some monsters form other RPG's ^^'. |

@Ugo, hmm.....a pet character.... sounds good. let's see....how about a system where the characters can catch a monster using special discs? depending on what disc they are using, they can catch these monsters. here's a short example:
ok, for the stat assignment problems, i'll put up the rule later on to standardize things |

@ Zparticus: We never really discussed that much, but from what I can make of it, sytat points are in a way permeneant. Stat points are designated by your character's class and what he/she excels at. Stat points are added though training and such, a character's level... hmmm. This RP is still in developmental stages. No one's profile an be safely called finalized yet. The main reason I probably allowed Xero's stats to be high is through the character's backstory, her level (or real world combat experience) is low, but though training form her father and such gave her stats a bit of a boost. However I do plan to PM Xero on lowering the stats a notch or two. |

i see...ok i'll edit those and some alter just wanna ask how much stat points can i use imean why not make a standard for stat points to ditribute like 50 pionts per level? because i looked into some of the profiles and saw a level 50 player with stats below 500 mostly in the 400 to 300 and like xerovlade is lvl 15 yet has stats of 400 to 600? just curious? maybe i made my player to weak or too strong for that level so im kinda worried... |

@ Kay: That sounds reasonable, alright I'll edit it in. Just one idea, why not have it possible to have a "PET" character that can participate in fights and carry additional items? @ Zparticus: Welcome. Now just one little problem I can spot in your profile, your character's basic attacks all require MP. It's understandable, however it's required you have a couple of simple attacks like a regular punch or kick in the event you cant use your MP. PLOT POST EDIT: LIMIT ON ITEMS For characters carrying items like potions and stuff. You can only carry a maximum of 15 items each. also, to make it a bit more real, they can carry about 50 different items at one time. Your primary weapons dont count, however extra aqquired weapons like dropped daggers count as 1 item. |

ok, added in more monsters as messaged. also, i've added in a column called "Min Lv". the Min Lv means at which level range can a character fight that particular monster, the bare minimum to fight them is -3 lv. (eg, a monster you're fighting has a Min Lv of 23-27. so the bare minimum for your character to fight that monster is a lv20. any lower will cause you to lose (unless you have like...hundreds of potions) @Ugo, one more thing...for characters carrying items like potions and stuff. they can only carry a maximum of 15 items each. also, to make it a bit more real, they can carry about 50 different items at one time |

@ Karuzo: No problems I can spot. It's perfect. @ Xerovblade: (Sorry bout that, hope you can get a good excuse) And now to constructive critisizm, I cant spot any problems yet. All you need now is your skills trees. Also dont forget to put down your "base skill tree" first. (In your character's case it would be Basic Blade Weilding) I already made basic Blade Weilding in the first post. Just copy it down into your skills trees then make up others (or you can borrow from other RPG's). Also, right now at your character's level, dont expect her to have extremly powerful spells that can compete with some of Kay's higher level of spells. But dont worry, over time you're allowed to add the more powerful attacks to the skill tree when she reaches the appropriate level. |
