Are there limits to the number of votes we're allowed to give? For some reason I have it in my head that the limit's 5, but I can't narrow down my choices T.T And I like how I'm getting zero votes -_- OH WELL, I kinda expected this. Good luck to everyone! :)

Yes Ehmz, I was just about to announce it. :) Now, voting is a yes/no instead of # of votes. You still have 25 votes, but you can apply at most one per contestant. This way, users will not favor their friends, but spread the votes fairly to those who deserve it.

Hey all: I've been following some of the comments about how 160 entries are extremely daunting to listen to and then vote on, and I have to say, I agree - I want to listen to everyone so I can feel like I'm voting fairly, but by the time I reached the end of the list, I felt like I'd forgotten the performances of those at the beginning. My solution: maybe for the first round, only the judges' scores could be used to determine who moved on - like in the early rounds of American Idol, when they start out with the big group and then whittle it down to the top 24. Then the public gets to vote on who they think should move on from there. I dunno how you guys feel about this at all, but it'd certainly make the public voting less overwhelming, and maybe cut down on some of the 'waste of a space' judge comments I saw in a few places. Oh, is that how they do it on American Idol? Makes sense. It could be done, but I resist adding complexity to the system unless it's truly needed. Right now, only 4 contestants are in the top 25 who wouldn't have made it if not for public voting. That's a 16% "error", which I find acceptable.

Well I agree with the new voting system it seems more fair to me, but i also think that the other suggestion should be used on the next contest where on first round judges pick the top 25 and people will vote after.. because honestly i doubt anyone listened to all the entryies before casting votes, not even I did , Im also impatient to be able to see all judges scores and coments, since i only have full comments of 2 of them Good luck to everybody |

I just realized that it IS possible to disable voting on the first round of next season without any code change, so, we'll plan on that!

Finally done listening to all the entries! Was too busy last year. So here's my questions... Since when did Gendou Idol becomes Spanish Idol? I feel like I was in Spain while listening to the entries. Where are all the awesome male singers!? Girls power again huh. Thanks for changing the points to one each, that makes it more fair. ___ P.S.: Selling points: 6 left. Paypal accepted! Just kidding. ...Seriously have 6 left though. :s |

Wow, Miko, you listened to all the entries! *claps I'm proud of you. Since all languages are acceptable, people sang in English, Spanish, even German :D I don't find anything wrong with people singing in another language, specially Spanish XD (since it's my native tongue). I think it's cool to hear something different every time. It's refreshing ^-^ Oh, yeah, I agree with the point system! Good job, Gendou!! ^-^ |

Pamela and I both scored all the contestants, but DA only scored 58 of them, Kiko only scored 94 of them. They should have both finished, but they didn't. Oh well. The winners have been announced here.
