Well since I haven't seen any other samurai animes than Rurouni Kenshin I am not sure that I have authority to say that it is the best. xD But anyhow it is good anime and only bad thing in it is fillers.. So much fillers! Argh! >.<

No samurai story can beat Samurai Champloo! It's unique cos of the blend of modern hip-hop culture with old Japanese culture.. but who cares!? The whole thing is just amazing and hilarious, especially episode 23. ^_^

RUROUNI KENSHIN ROX!!! as well as PEACEMAKER KUROGANE (Hijigata-kun....okita-kun...) ans SAMURAI DEEPER KYO but nothing beats the legend of HITOKIRI BATTOUSAI...hehehehe i cannot protect you without a sword.... but i cann't embrace while holding a sword...

So far, I have only seen Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Deeper Kyo, PeaceMaker Kurogane, Samurai 7 and Gintama. Even though I like all the anime, I still like Rurouni Kenshin the best^^

mine's also rurouni kenshin and samurai 7. i already watched samurai deeper kyo and peacemaker. (action maybe cool but the storyline... not my type to like...)
