My opinion on a MV is, if you wanna make one, go for it, but if the song is of horrible quality to begin with, then yeah you're not going to do well. Honestly, don't even worry about making some MV, it's the song that matters first and foremost. I'm not going to judge people differently if two people have a good song, but one has a better MV than the other. If you have a good MV, I'll give you a compliment on that, but whatever quality the MV is in, won't effect my opinion on the song/mp3. I've already heard a few songs, but haven't personally given my opinion yet, or "scores" as you say here. But c'mon people, respect the judges and give us our space... I haven't even judged yet, and people are complaining. If you didn't like what we said and only want to hear what you want to hear, don't enter next time. These are honest opinions. If you have a great cover, you're going to get great opinions. If you have a horrible cover, you're unfortunately going to get bad opinions. That's what judging is. If you think this is BS, try out for American Idol or something. My advice is take what we said, as "opinions" might I add, as something to use and to improve with. Practice more songs, learn you vocal range and capability, and come back next time stronger and better.

DA has a point.people should just accept what's given and commented. this isnt a night market where you could haggle and bug the judges for higher scores. overdoing it would just make things worse. make peace,not war~ |

Jesus christ I should've judged earlier or before Christmas... rofl. ^^;; Note: Can there be a slight increase in character limit? I sort of get too detailed and have to brief things up. Also I think adding "halves" might help a bit, like instead of solid scoring, have some halves (e.g. 18.5/20 - that's just me personally though). lol, this is a very tiring job!

Oh, yes. I have forgotten about the "halves" I want to give someone a 4.5 because 4 seems too low, and 5 too generous XD...What a dilemma. And I also agree with the fact that people should respect the judges comments. I know that some might get upset, frustrated, even hurt by some comments, but guys let me break this to you: Life is tough. People out there are horrible! Just check what some comment on youtube videos. I have friends who post their videos, and let me tell you they are amazing, and you get comments like "You suck!" "I'm deaf" "I want to puke" etc, etc, etc. Those are the "lighter" comments. So, here, at least you are getting some sort of constructive criticism like "Improve this, improve that" "Why don't you try this?" "This is not your type of song", etc etc. Anyway, enough rambling. I'm done with my judging. I have gone back and upgraded some scores, and added a bit more comments. So, Good luck to everyone! all judges : Thanks for the hard work...I guess the judging's fair enough...I mean in this competition we're not trying to get as many point from the judges, what we should see is the 'comments' that will help us in the future. It's not just about sing beautifully or not...I hope all the competitors can understand what i mean... ^^, Me too.. not a good singer...that's why i join this competition to know what point that i still lack and hope i can fix it in the future... :D |

@aeris: i agree with you. I think that the judges are being fair, and that everyone has their different views on everything, so of course there will be some differnt scores and such. I agree with aeris because, similarly, I joined this competition to recieve some comments and reviews on how to improve. So, to those out there who are'nt happy with their score, just accept it, work on the parts that were'nt so good, and try to improve. |

actually i dont really care what judges say about my singing or song choosing. cause if they wanna say it badly or score us badly, is their choice. we cant say that we did our best and give high points. even if i got high points, i just only happy for a while. hahahaha. so i think its better let the judges be. oh btw, i saw my score. i dont get it what is inotation..? also. that song i sing it relaxly.. i think its about my vocals and the bgm volume levels~ hahaha. i'll improve. cause i just started covering songs this year jan. |

Emi, you're wrong, we judges give very good constructive criticism. Sometimes there is not much we can say about a person's technique. It helps technique to sit up strait, breath with the diaphragm, open the jaw wider on higher notes, etc. Obviously, we cannot give any of this advice unless we can see the singer. hgntsuki, click here.

I'm wondering why there's only 156 left o.o but I admire the judges, actually... I was just browsing the entries and I wasn't even able to get past 10 entries x.x and since I didn't know a lot of songs, it was difficult to know if they were great covers or not o.o Can I suggest to randomize the order of the entries on each refresh? I dunno... I keep coming back to the start and all I really listen to is the first one I get to see (or only the songs I know since let's face it... it will take a long time for me to finish listening to everything). If it's not ranked by score.. and I don't think it's great to rank it by votes (though I'm sure with one click of the word vote you can rank it that way), then I was just thinking it'd be great to give everyone a chance to get to be the first one clicked by anyone x3

@uwa haha well i dont know most of the songs too so i dont know how the original song is like. but every contestant has their own way of singing it and i'd say i prefer how a few of the contestants delivered the song than how it was originally. :) most of the time i'll listen to the original song after listening to the contestant's entry. :) |

I think that's a good idea to sort all the top contestants after the scores have been revealed, top 30 or maybe 50 (best scores). Then those who are not on the top chart will have a chance to be a wild card. This will give a chance for those contestant that have low scores to be heard and enter the next round. Just an idea. Happy to know my suggestion was considered =) Also happy with the ?'s lol I was stalking the board and i noticed it says "11 hours left for public voting" this could't be o.O because scores will be available in 5 days, so.. not sure the 11 hours fact is okay by the way, just alerting. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! ^^

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!~~ the scores will be revealed after the voting (i guess) >.> but i was thinking... wouldn't that be a waste of the votes... i mean, like say, it has been mentioned that this isn't a popularity vote... but then, when that entry gets a whole lot of votes, but the entry is not up to the standard set by the judges... @@ so why not narrow down the choices for people to vote on? |

@fullbustergray I think voting is still active once the judges scores have been revealed. So there still a chance to cancel your votes on one contestant then transfer it to another. :)

You can vote for 25 people, so you don't have to pick and choose only one contestant. Pame stated earlier she'll more than likely put through people who deserved it rather than popularity. |

@Bluey; last year, 20 entries we're chosen in the first round onto the next round. I'm not so sure if the same number will be picked this year.  |
