Life...is something that keep us alive, keep us conscious, and make us exist in this world. Mind is similar to life. You aren't life if you don't have a mind, but not dead just like you are in comma. But if you don't have life, you also don't have mind. Funny isn't it. Soul or spirit are believed as life.   |

| well...this is a hard and vague question..the meaning of life..personally i think this is one question that human wont be able to answer. I mean..think about it, we go to scholl study really hard so we can go to a good uni then we have to study really hard again so we can get a job..after we get one we also need to worh diligently so we make a living and hopefully be rich..then what...we die and what was the hard work for? |

I just enjoy and that for me is everything. I could care less for meaning or those kind of stuff as long as im happy and alive it's "meaning" enough for me.  |

'Mind is similar to life'. If we die, does that mean we no longer have mind/spirit? When we die, does it mean that we just vanish from the world..? As well as our memory..? Well, at least make sure that we have enough good experiences when we are alive. So we won't regret anything that will happen when we die.

When your life means nothing, it means that you've failed in living. Make it worth. At least to some of those around you. The people you care of, the people that you wanted to protect. How will you know that someone's life has a meaning? Well, it depends on how many people that cries over that person's death. As simple as that. Never forget SE Lain : we live in the memories of others. Not remembered means never happened.

People were born with happiness but they'll die in search of happiness. It's useless. People shouldn't do anything becoz they are happy originally. We are dumb people, arent we? So the only way out for us to find happiness is to die. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Selamat mencari!

rukia chaaan....you have such beautiful words, ne? I personally agree with her , the meaning of life isn't a usual-I'll-find-it-in-the-book-question . Noone actually knows why they lived, at least I don't, all i know is that i live because my parents made me, and god gave me life, but they say sooner or later, you'll find you really live for . Anyway , to me.. Life starts simple, why change them?

I thought it complicated, (because its so damn complicated we call it life ....thats why no one is able 2 find the tru meaning of life....m i right?) hehehe. But maybe simple or not simple (again) depends on the person, simple is such a relative word...But personally i dont like really simple live, but not 2 complicated ^_^ we live only once we not make this life a bit adventurous rather than simple ? hehehe |

Life is never understood everyone has a uniqe story to tell and I think the the very thought of trying to understand takes most of the magical air out of it. I wake up I live my day like it was my last....it very well may be and I don't want to have regrets. May I have been helpful or selfish that day it was a single day given to me to use and I plan to live a ful life.
And I was lost in a blindness that was as clear as crystal. Where I found the truth ....now if I could only escape.

The meaning of Life is the one that you make. Every person has a different meaning of Life, whether it is to get good grades or to excel at a sport... those are the goals, ambicions and desires that changes that meaning to something more... the meaning of Life is irregular, and it may change or not when you accomplish one of your goals. We werent born with happiness, we have to accomplish it. |

If you are looking for the meaning of life, I suggest you read "Celestine Prophecy" and "The Tenth Insight". What the author says in both might be one view only but if you think through it seriously, it makes a lot of sense. To give an overview, basically the two books are saying that life had always heading in an evolutionary path to one conclusion, that the physical plane of life becomes parallel to and almost merges with the meta-physical plane (the plane of existence where you go when you die). When that time do come, humanity would be able to go into the spiritual realm and come back without needing to die. According to this book, that was what was meant in the Bible about the kingdom of heaven being here on Earth. |

Ha, this is an easy one, the purpose of life is to watch as much anime as possible. :) Seriously, though. If you're looking for the meaning of life, then I suggest you try religion. You don't have to die all the way, either. If you have kids, then a little bit of yourself will live on in them, and will in turn be passed on to THEIR kids.  |

Shouldn't this thread be in the "other" section or something? Anyways, IMO, life is what you make of it. You live, experience, learn, die and then you cease to exist as time fades. If a bug dies, the world just keeps going and nothing stops at the insignificance of death. That's why life is just living as long as you can.
