Never have actually cried from an anime song (can't even remember the last time tears leftmy eyes for any reason) but the song that comes closest is Wind from Naruto. The artist is Akeboshi and I believe it's a closing song. That song just gets to me, down deep--you know?

uhm, song's of hikaru no go, it's not "sad" but for the fact whenever i hear those songs I remember sai, and that makes me cry... huhuhu TT___TT also, "waltz" from honey and clover, whenever i hear that music, i remember Ayumi's unrequited love towards $*itty-Mayama...

"Ningyo Hime" from the 2nd ending of Chobits is a pretty gloomy song. Everytime i hear it and replay certain scenes from chobits in my head, i feel a bit sadder. "The World of Midnight" from Black Lagoon 2nd season is also sad. They only used it once in the series when (WARNING; SPOILER AHEAD!) the children twins were finally killed. Their deaths were absolutely horrific, especially the boy (or girl, it depends on how you view it) when he died a painful death. As the end of the episode, the little girl gets shot in the head and dies looking at the blue sky. Remembering that makes me kinda guilty for them for some reason. P.S. "The World of Midnight" is sung in english so listen to the lyrics. Those will be one of the most depressing lyrics you'll read in a LONG TIME.   |

'Inori ~You Raise Me Up~' by Lena Park Every time I listen to this song,the phrase 'it's going to be tragic for Romeo and Juliet' is always popping into my head... Another is 'Alone' by Shimokawa Mikuni. I feel Goku's pain. T_T  |

I second Aozora. I'm not a guy who cries much (I try my damnedest not to...) but I have a difficult time not getting a bit blurry-eyed listening to that one. Lia's Farewell Song was another one. Air TV sure had some nice ones. I would also add "It's only a fairy tale..." (or something like that, not 100% on the title from that one.) from Mai-Hime. |

Aozora from Air TV. It has a kind of sad yet hopeful melody. Plus every time I hear it, I associate it with the ending of Air. T_T |
