i agree with H on the BGM! at first i was like, this need more GAR enhance jam project songs! but strangely the upbeat songs suits the gai-gurren-dan very well..especially the rap one (row row fight the power!) and that epic combination of opera and rap at the last episode..freaking awesome! though can someone enlighten me with the "i am nobody" line? thanks |

This anime is just too epic for words. I can't believe I was hooked to it. A bit sad that my favorite character, Kamina had to die, but Simon's still alive. I love the way they build up the characters in the show. It's just plain awesome :3 TTGL still tops as best anime for 2007. Definitely.  |

Z, Seeing that Simon is a nobody right now, just an ordinary poor old wanderer, the 'I am nobody' line completely describes who and what he is right now unlike in the past. He used to be a great ‘somebody’ but that’s all in the past. This anime is really epic. Where can you see two sides throwing galaxies at each other?! LOL.. That was great! |

I think i like this anime. *looks at sig* Yep. Definately! Is anyone watching the parallel works? I'm looking forward to the movies, I know it's just a re-telling of the story, but with some different scenes and whatnot. Anything to get my Tengen fix XD

yeah but i believe there is more too it than taking the line literally..(or am i just reading it too much..or taking the gainax depth hahaha) but i think simon decided to be a wanderer because he is trying to prevent the spiral nemesis..since i think he is the strongest spiral out there right? i dunno...but i read somewhere that gainax gave an explaination to the line but i forgot the site..dang @meep yeah it sucks that kamina has to die SO FREAKING EARLY!but his death was necessary for simon's growth.hahaha though the young simon seems more GAR than the older version (especially during his re-awakening line..that freaking rocks!hahaha) @kirky i saw the 6 videos hahaha 5 is the best (the child gimmy one touching the untouchable) 1 for me is the fan girl scenario with everyone getting a happy end 2 is weirdly hilarious (pachinko?) 3 is artsy but a big WTF 4 is epic, reversed roles and awsome GAR villian version of Kamina..plus did ya see simon?hahaha 6 is a GAR gimmy..awesome mecha to boot (viking lagann?) |

I really want to see this so I put it on my list on Netflix but the expected wait is "very long." D= XD I don't even know what it's about. Robots or something? I guess I'll just jump in there and hope I'll like it. :D There's so much hype around it and you guys seem to love it~ >.> Must refrain from reading too much in this thread to avoid spoilers. I've seen 4 of the parallel works zpa-dude. But they were pretty good from what i saw, i think the second one was my favourite. The pachinko as u said. Viral was the best in that one. And when it went "555" and just like blew up in his face! I'm gonna watch the newer ones now. As i said before, anything to get my Tengen fixxx :)

I bought the special edition when it was released a bit back but never got around to watching it. I sat down to it last night and watched the first two episodes and it was wicked entertaining. I'm looking forward to watching more of this show. |

Man everyon should watch and buy this show! I love it but my DVD's are taking soooooo long to come in the mail. It's like I'm going through withdrawals because I don't have anymore Gurren Lagann. |

Z: I did watch the anime... but gave up when "sunglasses" (sorry... I'm really bad with remembering names) died and the main guy basically went bersake and the appearance of the princess and I stopped somewhere there (think that was a point of time when the fansubbers were dragging the project on... so I kinda stop when they paused)... I'll go check out the paralle works when I've the time... too much stuff to watch/re-watch~ |

woah! Gurren Lagann is getting popular here in Gendou! i can still remember a while back when there was only me and a few users talking about Gurren Lagann when it was still airing. Engel, are you referring to Black Order fansubs? They're dead actually... :-/ i really enjoyed their subs, the quality's high and the typesetting and effects stand out. You can continue watching the anime from BSS. Z, yeah... i think so too. i'm not good at understanding all this deep stuff but i know what you mean. Kirky, parallel works? I'll try to check that out. i never heard of it. =O |

@jaydel well, its airing now in the US i think..plus there are those who just saw it after the series ended (like me...i love you quiapo!hahaha) yup, i guess the "i am nobody"line is ambiguous? i really hate those kind of endings >.< the parallel works are like music videos co produced with different animation studios or something in anticipation for the movie... and its weirdly awesome! there are 6 vids i think and each one is unique..but the best will be the fifth vid...you better hurry and watch it at youtube before it gets deleted for "mature content" hahaha and did you watch the OVA with the bunny? @H finally someone agrees with me...nothing can ever TOP gimmy in this one!hahaha he even showed us things beyond our wildest imagination...(yoko!*drools*)hahahhaa and the freaking intro is EPIC! who the thought that was a *t000t* hahahahaha @engel i guess jaydel answered your question ^_^ you better finish this awesome anime!hahaha though i find the pre-anti spral arc better than the spiral/anti spiral war arc,it still awesome to watch simon and the crew grow up! i saw this vey epic trailer of gurren lagann sync with the audio from the 300 trailer..epic win! |
