High school is really different from college. i love college but I like high school better. when you're in college, you'll experience more freedom and independence. there's a catch though.... college means lots of hardwork and exhaustion>_< Requirements, exams, etc.. when i was in high school, i had less of these and i was more relaxed and laid back. if i had the chance to relive my life, i'd relive my high school life. lots of happy memories ^^

uhm, i'm suppose to tell you what's the feeling of being a high school student, not compare high school to college >_< lolz. High school is FUN! its even better if you have close and true friends.=P

hey i agree with both post above me.

high school is fun and free, we can do a lot of thing, and our parents still helping us in some activity.

but now, in college, gosh, very tired and exhausting, you should independent in here, and when you on last year, your job will be a lot more, just like me
:(

high school for me was fun, but college is more fun.

in my high school, people always discriminate and there're those classifications such as jocks, popular cool girls and guys, nerds, punk etc etc..
the students are less mature, the youth are rebellious, teenage love and crushes happened here and there, and you have to have bf/gf if you want to be cool and stuff.
and the life there is more towards the dreamland, you dream of your recent bf/gf being The One, dream of big jobs eventhough its not really realistic, dream of those mega big unrealistic things.
besides, the teachers arent as cool as my lecturers too.
so yeah, i love my friends and times that we had together there but i dont really like my high school.

in college, no one cares what you are as long as you excel in classes and exams. not much rules, more freedom, more mature people there and life is more realistic. so for me, its so much cooler in college than high school.

yuki is right......i hated school....where there are bullies(you can obviously tell i was bullied...lol) popular kids....etc...etc...
I mean....why classify people like that?
i dont get it......
University is much better.....nothing like that....people BEHAVE like ADULTS for once.....not like in school:
guy A:
Hey man....you pushed me....thats it...i will mess you up for good in school
guy B:
oh yea?.....you scum......etc...etc......

At the end they fight.....now when you look WHY the were fighting it was SUCH a STUPID reason....bah

I prefer being alone so do me a favor and leave me be....

For me the first 2 years was a bad experience. I was bullied pretty badly by almost everyone from my year in my high school. The worst thing was that some of my friends backstabbed me and started bullying me as well.

I was focking glad that I'd left that high school after 3 years. Though, I did have some enjoyable times, I made a few good friends whom I still keep in contact up to this day and we even hang out during our holiday breaks from tertiary education.

In my new high school, I was determined not to get bullied and basically ignored what people did to me and didn't react to certain situations that much. When I first went there people welcomed me with open arms and they were pretty friendly as well. But however when the bullying did happen I just ignored it and eventually the bullies would stop. I couldn't believe that I wasn't being bullied and felt really relieved during that time as well. Overall, I'd had an enjoyable time in my 2nd high school and even made a few friends there, which I still keep in contact up to today.

Sturm, I maybe wrong but it looks like you seem to be having problems in senior high school. Here's an example of my story: this actually happened a few days ago to me. There was this guy in my college who I thought was teasing me. I kinda assumed the worst so what I did was I asked some of my friends for advice on how I should approach him. But most of it was what I learned from the counsellor, i.e. be assertive while talking. Well that kinda means to be calm and not say anything that'll hurt the other person and DESC which means (Description, Emotion, Solution and Consequence). Describe your problem, tell them how you feel, provide a solution and give a consequence if it's not resolved, e.g. report to the principle.

So one day I saw him by himself and I approach him, he was friendly to me and said whats up. I told him that I'd needed to talk to him it was important. So we went somewhere private and I told him that: "I knowyou're teasing me, and I feel upset, cause I've seen these kinda things before, so I ask can you stop." He said he'll stop but after that he gave me a aggressive reaction. He thought I was blaming him for everything and said why don't you tell the other people that are doing it as well and said if I wanted to tease you I would have done it in the beginning. I froze there cause I didn't know how to respond and then he walked away. So I just ended up cause more trouble :S :(.

I'd asked my friends for advice on how to deal with the situation and they gave me a good solution, I felt the solution was good, but it wasn't enough so I kept thinking what I should say to him. Then the night before I say him again, I came up with an even better solution, combining what my friends said with what I thought up and wrote it down on paper and wrote down the possible responses he was going to say and rehersed it a few times. You're probably wondering why I didn't go to my counsellor, cause she said that she can't help me cause we can't come to agreements, but thats a story for another time I guess.......

Anyways, the next day (which was 2 days from the event that happened), I saw him and try saying hi to him, he gave me a hostile reaction. I felt kinda cold inside and continue to walk. After walking a few steps I told myself: "Hey this is your only chance, you won't be able to talk to him again for a while" So I walked back and he gave me another hostile reaction. I told him I needed to talk to him. He said why!? in an aggressive tone. I told him it's about time I told you the truth. We went somewhere private and I told him:

"I don't blame you for anything, did I say I blamed you? Did I say you did anything wrong? No. I kinda forgot what happened next cause I was frightened and my memory's still a bit fuzzy. But I remember him saying that he's always getting blamed for stuff. I told him that I knew how he felt cause people sometimes blame me for stuff as well and I gave him a few examples of some situations. Then he said he could have got his boys to bash me if this was high school. Then i said I know that it wasn't your intention to tease me and you were just joking around and I finally told him the truth, how i really felt. I said: "I shouldn't tell you this but..... I've been bullied from year 7-8 pretty badly by almost everyone in my year in high school. The worst thing was that some of my friends backstabbed me and staretd to bully me as well." He said he understood how I felt cause a similar problem happened to him. So I told him that I was afraid that the nightmare was going to happen again and that when he was joking me the bad memories started to come back. After that one of the things he said was really unexpected. He said "It's good that you came up and told me, not many people would do that." I can't really remember what happened next cause I was kinda surprise and shocked at the same time. But the last thing I'd remembered is that we shook hands and that walked away. So everything was resolved and I could finally relax and enjoy life again.

So to summarise what I just said:
-Use DESC to deal with the situation.
-Ask people for help and advice.
-Take risk and try to be brave.
-Be honest with how you really felt about the situation.

So, stop making excuses, if someone is making you unhappy and it's continuing do something about it, ask people for help and try to deal with the situation the best way you can.

brains (!) and its a huge pleasure for me to do something well and get praised
from that.
I got only few friends, but i dont need any more! i love them most <3 theres not
same kind of bullying things as in lower grades, and studying is free! i can be as
lazy as i want.. its just i cant be lazy and im usually stressing about
everything, because i have too many courses and too many undone works :( now i got
my exam week, and sleeping was.. actually, i didn't sleep.
But we actually had permission to paint one wall from our school, in any way we wanted! Yai! It was sooo fun! i love all the teachers, even the one which have drink her brains away.
I cant help myself loving actually everyone in there, im not able to really hate
people anymore ^_^ yes, its naive, and im naive, but world needs people watching it trough blue, innocent eyes, without any knownledge of its ruthless side.

my highschool life is..
it is just balance..
there were times where i don't wanna go to school anymore because of the different people that sucks~! but.. i also have many friends.. unlike when i'm in elementary..
when im in 1st yir..
it is boring..
now..
it is just right..
but if i have to choose between my 1st and 2nd yir of being a highschool student..
i would prefer to be back in my 1st yir memories..
it is the best so far..
even though it is boring..
the memories are the best..
all of us, classmates were so bonded..
we never leave each other when we have problems..
the problem of one person.. is the problem of all..
"together we stand.. divided we fall.."
that is my batch when im in first year..
unlike know..
the fault of one person..
is just his/her fault..
we did'nt anymore care about one another..
hayz..
it is really fun recalling the memories..
but still.. in reality..
memories are just memories..
='C
miss my batch mates..
i love FrEshiES~!

I'm currently in my first year of high school.
The school i'm in is rather strange; there are no students older than me, it just opened this year.
2 things im glad for:

1: The fact that the school roof has been left open
2: That this is unknown to most students and teachers

The school roof is a wonderful place to skip class. With a laptop, anime and the wide blue sky.

High school seems really short though. This year is almost over, and theres just next year left. High school is nice, as long as you don't really care about other students. They all look the same anyway. The same tense smiles. Frowns of freedom. Grimaces of pure enjoyment.

Yay for anime.

My senior year of high school sucked! The first month was total chaos. Our principal was an asshole, people kept pulling the fire alarm, someone set the school on fire, there were tons of bomb threats, and the school switched from block scheduling to eight-period days! It was pretty funny though when part of the school burned down although it did smell like barbeque for months. Then there were the people who were a bunch of idiots. I was so glad when graduation day came. It was fun and was the best part of the high school experience knowing that I will never step into the crap shack again. College is so much better. My college is not that hard, but university will be so much harder in two years!

The worst thing for High school for me is the children screaming during class. Sometimes I feel I have to choke all the kids untill they stop moveing. Also their are too many metrosexuals (Boys that look like Gay Boys) in my High school. I hate their tight pants O.o

yeah high-school is pretty good i've had alot of great memories but since I've entered 12th grade its been kind of stressful but i'm still having alot of fun messing with the tech team. The teachers are the best though. Last year we had emulators and unreal tournament on all the computers it was awesome.

If love can kill might not hatred save?
