There is already a "su" 㙠in the language, so of course you have to pronounce the "t" 㤠how are you going to tell the difference otherwise? |

in certain cases, the "tsu" is pronounced normally like in "tsukoyomi" but n other cases, and I'll get back to you on that, the "tsu" is silent. ![]() |

If you're just saying the character by itself, it does have a different pronunciation than â€ã™â€

I had a problem with 'tsu' as well. It takes some practice. I say 'tsu' with almost a 'ch' sound. Not very prominent though. With 'su' it is easier to pick out. Just listen to the difference when talking with Japanese native speakers.

I'm Indonesian, so it's not hard to pronounce it. Try to say te-su. Repeat that again... Say it once again and fasten the te-su, repeat that 50 times. On the fastest pronounciation, do you hear tsu? If not, repeat the previous step. The codename's r3ck0rd. Find me in my Facebook Profile Page, or in my blog.

My sensei said that the "tsu" should be pronounced as the "ts" from the word "boots". |

I know for sure the U is silent for the most part but it always comes down to local dialect. Kinda like it is for us in the US if your from NY your gonna say things differently then the guy from Tennesse. My japanese teacher told me it didnt realy matter but 90% of the time its TZ and the u is realy faint if not droped altogether |
