Densetsu Weed is really dramatic. Not romance drama, but life and death drama. At the same time, its full of action. Second is defnitely fruits basket.  |

1: anything by KEY....AIR, KANON, Clannad, Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life, Planetarium (the last 3 are PC games..not anime yet...should be though) 2: Kiminozo (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien) 3: any thing by Miyazaki (should be #1 but too obvious) 4: Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu 5: Memories Off series  |

1) Air.. Misuzu is really cute and kind but it's really sad that she has to "go" 2) Rurouni Kenshin Movie's/Ova's and Director's Cut.. T_T 3) Kimi ga Nozomu eien.. cool.. 4) Saikano is a kinda sad but funny and has romance.. 5) I wonder if Jigoku shoujo and brother dear brother (oniisama e..) is accepted.. |

For me, the best anime drama is Honey and Clover because it's very realistic ^^ Fruits Basket isn't bad either, only the end didn't seem too realistic for me :) |

The greatest emotional drama for me was Grave of the Fireflies. I may be a sissy but sweet innocent little children losing everything that they love and eventually starving to death in a graphic, truly emotional manner really makes me sad...I don't know why... Tsubasa Chronicles was also a very good drama (even though I haven't seen the show in quite some time).
You need a reason to be sad. You don't need a reason to be happy. The secret to happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible.

To add two no one has said yet 1: Gankutsuou (The Count of Monte Cristo) As you can see, it's an adaptation of the famous book. Still very good as an anime. Unique art. 2: PlanetES Realistic and engrossing story in the sci-fi genre. Both of these have a really good story and IMO pretty dramatic. |
