yea i think 3 also but dang they have like pretty nice private schools there so rich going to different places like school trips to okinawa and france and other places compared to American schools we're crap.  |

They do? I thought they only started later. But it's 3 and optional (although 98% of Japanese children attend it anyway)

i think it depends on which month a person's born in. eg: new school term begins in april for japan. if a person's born in january ~ march, they'll start elementary school at the age of 6. whereas for those who're born after that, they'll start at 7. or was it the opposite.. i mixed up! *sweats*

Three years of highschool, three years of middle school, and six years of grade school.

It's 3 years in high school. High school starts the age of 16-18. After high school, 97% of the students go to University. 3% of students go to work after High School. It starts with Elementary school (7-12), then Junior High School (12-15), then High School (it's optional) 16-18.  |
