Chobits... would you buy one?

If the Japanese came out with a Chobits right now in modern time, would you guys/gals buy yourselves one? I'm wondering cuz by boyfriend absolutly loves the thought of having one, but I don't. I think that although they help you out in your daily life they sort of handicapp you into being spoiled. I'd rather do things myself than watch or wait for someone else to do them for me. Perhaps it's a guy thing? I'm sure it's not, but I'm wondering, does anyone else share my sentiments? |

It would be funny to have a Chobit, or any persocom, just for a friend... then you would treat your other friends differently, maybe even more honestly, safe in the knowledge that no matter what you said or did your persocom wouold stay loyal to you... Having said that, I'm sure I would have bought in to the persocom thing when it started. Before you started hearing about people marrying their persocoms and stuff. Even Yumi used to have a humanoid one, didn't she? (Forgive me, I'm still only halfway through the manga). Wouldn't it have seemed amazing at the time? I think I might like a palmtop like Yumi's rabbit. I know I would like a full sized beautiful man-persocom, but I hope I wouldn't actually buy one... *~Pips~* |

cool y not. especially if starts out kindoff like chii where u have to kinda teach them the ropes.... i'm mostly a patient happy going guy i guess

| chobits?... i would love to have one all by myself.. They are low maintenance, does not need so many things and are absolutely perfect! well the perfection part maybe a problem but still! i will probably sell out everything i own just to have one!! |

| I'd love to have a persocom...but I'd definitly not turn turn 'em into a slave... That's just cruel. Having one for friendship would be extremely awesome. I'd take 'em anywhere! The mall! My grandparent's house! You name it! xDDD But seriously, if I owned a persocom, I'd be the happiest person in the world, anyone like me would. o.o |

Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone! Now, I know I'm not alone when I say that I wouldn't want one, although the idea of having something like Sumomo is VERY tempting. ^_- |

Definitely! I would certainly buy that mobile thingy-like-Sumomo. She's just cute... And I can bring it anywhere; say it's very useful and she can perform all cool stuff necessary in school activities. =) Recalling the episode where she's writing on a paper using this oversized pen/pencil... soooooo kakoi! |

If it was just a persocom maybe, but if it was the Chobits version then definatly. If I could only get my hands on the normal kind, then I would get instead of one expensive big one, a whole bunch of little ones. Go my chibit army. Is Plum the english name for Sumomo, or did the manga have a new character or something. Or is plum the name of the other little persocom with the bells?  Jomunga eats your avatars. |

Id like to have a Chobits only if it was as cute as Chii and had the best personality of loving care. Hmm marrying a chobits would b kinda strange to me but if it had the power to make a baby that would b kinda wierd also. well since im perverted kinda id like to b that rich boy who had like 12 persocons to pleasure him except id want them all to look like Chii mwahahaha!! but then again my girlfriend would try to kill me maybe... And the one wit the bell was something wit a K i think i forgot.. Has anyone seen that episode in Tsubasa Chronice Resovoire where Syaoron and Kurogane reached the peak of a mountain castle thingy and saw the giant Sumomo? she was with the other chibit wit the bells but i forgot the name of that one...  |

Kotoko. I think I would be fine having a desktop or PDA, like Yumi's or Shimbo's. Besides, not having to pay for an extra seat would be a bonus to that. ^.^  Monk Chichiri |
