I like Korean Ramen more than Japanese Ramen because its more spicier but I like Onigiri with umeboshi inside it, Sushi and Sashimi, Udon tastes bad to me, Tsukiyaki is yummy. I can also make Yakisoba, and Donkatsu. well i tried making the omelette thing but i messed up baddd. They have Tiramisu here also yummm mocha flavored minicake.. |

So many noodles in JP .. what i learned since living here is ... its all about the soup! or sauces! or furikake for gohan/rice ... etc etc UDON and RAMEN are sadly not introduced properly in USA ... and ive yet to taste MSG here ... thank God! Here? waha cup o noodles? >< so different! USA gets cheated ><; the art of dehydration is #1 here (prolly all of Asia) and after hot water, i have tons of tastey whatever ... example if seafood? o yah ... bits of tako, kani, real seafood! hehe I used to see udon noodles in USA stores! like Walmart. If you try it? boil in water with say unsalted beef soupbase. Or better yet! Slice some pork with fat on it, boil it with a little bit with a fish or beef soupbase, cook the udon for about 5 minutes, add chopped onion at last minute! YUMMMMMM! So many kinds to choose from. Sad USA wont import more. (cough... Campbells competition?) Also many kinds of nori, kelp, konbu (seaweeds) hmm you can find many kinds at an asian market! One thing here thats popular and i LOVE!!!!! DAIKON!!! anyone like this veggie? im addicted! a little "fish" soupbase and boiling and some ponzu sauce after ... ^-^ geh .. now im hungry ><; ![]() |

Yakisoba for the win Takoyaki Unagi donburi Ramen isnt bad either (and for those who didnt know, it actually came from China) I'd really like to try their bread. Japanese have like 12327132379 million kinds of bread. They have a flavour for literally everything Okonomiyaki's good too Aaaand of course, Jagabata They also make damn good curry *EDIT* KAISEKI! Almost forgot. If you ever get a chance to try it, by all means go for it. It's a traditional japanese meal, originated to go along with the tea ceremony. It might be a bit pricey, but it's certainly different from the usual udon and ramen and sushi. A neat cultural experience |
