Wtf, that was totally uncalled for. Australia does have some pretty good ties with Japan. If your school has a Japanese course, your best place to start would be asking the teacher. If not, try some community centres or colleges. You can always try the 日本語 forum. Really can't help more than that. |

Yeah, try that pen pal stuff. Of course, you could just go out and make some real friends and quit being such a shut in. Go out and LIVE!!!

If you want a Japanese friend, Move to California. TONS of Japanese people in Fresno, LA, San Jose, San Fransico(but J-Town is being sold to another owner so it might close), and San Diego(not sure about this one...but i've seen a few here). Brazil has a few too. A family member went to Japan and saw a group of Japanese from Brazil there and they were wavin' a Brazilian flag! The pictures were crazy. In short, Japanese can be found in the West coast of America, VERY few in the East coast(almost 0%), and I have no idea about the midwest. Try Japanese-Online.com. If you sign up, you can get a free email and have access to Japanese language lessons. Also you can meet Japanese people there. It's all free too.

Well, there's always me. ^^ I'm South Korean, but I'm 1/3 japanese and I'm pretty good at speaking it. Anyways, as for their culture and other things, the only way to find out is to go there. I know of a few good friends that know, though they only speak Japanese so, there's no point trying to talk to them too much. ^^ ;  |
