Japan's Golden week

During this week, japanese people stops from all work! This is the 9 days holiday with no exemptions. All Japanese citizens (including the tv station, media,etc) are to rest for 9 straight days. I aways wondered what people think of this vacation period.. So tell me what is in that mind of yours gendounian and speak out: What do you think about the golden week? ~Wakoko  |

Eh? I thought Golden Week was more than a month ago (April 29-May 5) O_o' Golden Week does sound interesting though. Wish we had something like that in the US (besides the national ONE DAY holidays) >o<

Haha, I used this as a part of my culture power point last year for history. I didn't know it was nine days though. O.o` So like, is there no TV or something? But I guess this time is just to spend with family, right? It seems nice though. The Japanese have good... uhhh, holiday-ish breaks. :3

Well, DA, there is TV; in fact, there's special programming for golden week, including anime marathons and special GW-themed drama episodes (like we have for Christmas). The only thing I have to say about this holiday is: I WISH WE HAD THIS!!! Waaaaah!!! T_T  --> |
