is "konnichiha" spelled "konnichiWA" or "konnichiHA" im sorry if this is off topic, if it is then jsut delete it ^_^

off topic? not at all. the word evolved from "‚±‚̂ɂ¿‚Í..." which means "this day is ..." it is similar to "good day" in a way. the particle ‚Í is pronounced with a W sound but is still written as ‚Í which is the syllable "ha" in hiragana. it is "correct" to write konnichiha or honnichiwa. however, most people who do not know japanese well tend to spell it like it sounds, with the W. purists like myself choose to transcribe literally into romanji, using the H. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The "ha" in hiragana is the same symbol for partical "wa"(even though "wa" has its own symbol)so it is written konnichiWA(even though there are some same regions of japan that do say konnichiHA)

what about watashi, sometimes i hear atashi, sometimes it's watashi, it could possibley be hatashi too but i've never seen that version of it. |

thay are both forms of "i" watashi is common, but women use atashi...people sometimes say watakushi which is more polite...boys often use boku...so many forms... @_@ |
