(笑) Now that I'm not taking Japanese classes anymore, I'm also keeping my skills up and learning by watching anime, and other Japanese shows... (^^;;) はい、その とおり。 (Yes, you're exactly right.) Japanese people certainly like to shorten words. In this way, they're lazy when it comes to speaking their language.. ← (My Japanese friend told me this!) 笑 You sure are smart, Sai-san! ★ (^o~)v Oh! Another example is: プリクラ (those little pictures you take in Japanese photo booths) → (short for プリント クラブ。) I love these! v(^O^)v |

Thanks Rika-chan ^^ you're still much more knowledgeable in this though... You were in osaka after all... Lucky you... Anyway, i just remembered this question i've always wanted to ask... Is there a rule on how to read kanji?? What i know is that a single kanji has several ways of reading it, and when it's combined with other kanjis, the reading sometimes changes again... So how do we know the right way of reading kanjis??? I'm kinda confused when it's kanji reading... Any help? ^^; (hope i'm asking in the right topic... >.<) ![]() |

Sai-san ★ Alas, we have reached the limits of my '日本語 Pool of Knowledge!' (笑) Since I'm only a ボケ 外人、the only small advice I can give you is practice... Enough practice with reading kanji will give you a feel for what's correct, and what's not.. (笑) I'm sorry to be totally useless to you on this subject!! (^∀^;;) Actually, a while ago I came across a thread that discussed this topic.. And I would refer it to you, except: you created that tread!!! (XD) 笑 笑 Oh, I know! I'll post something in your thread, later.. (^o~) ごめん ね! それから… v(^O^)v ★ 大阪 は ステキ!!! ★ v(^O^)v 笑 |

Ah... So even you can't answer this one huh? I guess kanji is troublesome then... ^^; Well, maybe i'll have to search somewhere else to know more about this... Anyway, how the heck did you find that thread?? I thought it was gone XD ![]() |
