Seems like it needs some explaining. Gothic Lolita is a Japanese style fashion that closely resembles that of the Victorian age. Some gothic lolita fashion is even used in some JRock artist, such as Versailles. Here are a few examples:   And here are just some dress examples from this store    |

what? what part of the US are you in o__O It's not popular at all... I mean the group of gothic lolita fans in the US is relatively small and spread out, and I don't see it becoming immensely popular anytime in the near [or distant] future. |

To Rin8: I love Moi-meme-moitie ^^ and I've always wanted to go there but my saving didn't allow me to. I see you're a fan of Mana and I love his style either. Just try to afford to buy his clothes if you can. If you're a fan of EGA either you can wear them in the west. The next time you go to Japan you may stop at La Carmina market (gothic lolita) and Closet Child,... for cheaper products^^ I love all kind of lolita: gothic lolita, sweet lolita, country lolita,... although I only fit with country lolita with a little Victorian like. Gothic lolita can fit in every country if you can redesign them a bit. Such as in Western countries gothic lolita has fewer lace and simplier than in Japan. Because gothic lolita really inspired from those countries. Just remember in the west and america, the simplier and more elegant gothic lolita is, the more well-known it is and that's how you guys in america can make it more popular. As in the East like us, we see them in a more 'dreaming' way so that's why you see it like we wear it^^

| I thought I wouldn't want to wear the pretty and frilly clothes but I ended up doing so. The fashion is interesting and it is not always easy to pull off when you're living in a tropical country but there are options anyway. :) I agree with lessening the ruffles and frills. Dressing up in lolita and still somehow blend in are difficult things to combine because it depends on the rules in your school or office. |

I know much about Lolitas. There's a different kind of Lolitas. As in: Sweet Lolita, Gothic Lolita, Punk Lolita, Guro Lolita, Ouji/kodona/dandy (male Lolita fashions), Wa/Qi Lolita, Hime Lolita and Classic Lolita. Most Japanese teens, are into this. And every weekends, all Lolita gathered at Harajuku Station. I did an article about Lolitas at my blog. My friend is having her sweet sixteen party, and the theme is loligoth (for her best friends) and then just rockstar for everyone else. I luuurve my lolita dress. xD
