Luxury electric motorcycle - great idea! In time, more than half of the bikers used to the engine roar will come to appreciate the quiet and more refined features of luxury electric motorcycles. Having been brought up on SuperHawks, Healey 3000s, the (1st Gen) Honda Insight seemed to be a wimpy little electric toy car. But, the more you drive this little hybrid-electric car, the more you become used to it, and appreciate the regen and its 60 mpg capability. Eventually, you become a little annoyed with the loud ICE sports cars’ and the loud bikes’ exhausts when their drivers make themselves feel good when they accelerate. My left ear is half-deaf from my Healey’s side-draft exhaust. So, it’s what you get used to…… For a purist in vehicle acceleration, he/she would want max torque at 0-mph (electric motors) and maintain that max torque as you’re passing 100 mph. A purist for a smooth ride would want less vibration in the butt and foot pegs. A Purest for high audio-fidelity would want as quiet an engine as possible. Having designed many Li-ion power packs for EVs (motorcycles, cars, buses, trucks and airplanes), it is not difficult to have a pure-battery eMotorcycle to go more than 200 miles. The frame design would have to be designed from the ground up, and uses a high specific-power motor with high torque and low RPM as direct drive. With an add-on power pack, some of the Zero electric motorcycles can exceed 200 miles on one charge. |

| Hello! As much as we love performance bikes, an electric motorcycle is likely to spend most of its life in the city. And that's why Giant is on our list. The Giant not only has a stylish retro look, but is also a great commuter electric bike. You can learn more about it here - wholesale electric mopeds. I purchased it for personal use and am happy with this purchase. |
