[Liel Vanguard] [Anvindr - Bridge] The leader of the Orphans answered Liel's question with a thorough answer, that the older generations opposed the Children of Avira to earn freedom. She does not know the reason why they want to invade Imelda though. After that, the leader tried her best to identify Excellen's origin. "I'm sorry to say that I also cannot answer the question about your companion. The armor is certainly Avirian made, but I do not know who the girl is wearing it, or even if she is fully human. Since you are asking me, I would assume that she does not have any memories of Avira. Where did you meet her?" Miranda replied back, saying that it was found in Lucine, before giving the green liquid that was responsible for bringing Excellen up and functioning. Serah instantly recognized the liquid. "I see. She must have been a military experiment that was discarded. The Avirian children tend to quickly discard anything that they deem outdated or a failed experiment. Her armor must run on liquid Anil, which is what you have there in that vial. That's about all I can piece together unfortunately." Liel muttered in her lips. "So, that's Anil, but in liquid form..." Then she gasped, as she remembered something important. Liel and Miranda once found a crashed airship somewhere in the city ruins of Imelda, and it leaked a similar green liquid. But at that time, Serah focused her attention to Helion. She also stated that Anil's intellectual enhancements only affects Avirians in their childhood. Once they turned into teenagers, the effect instantly wear off. Liel once again had a hard time digesting the facts. Everything in Avira was so different when compared to Aigle. "That explains why the Children rule the floating island...?" Despite the conversation is mostly about Avira, Miranda thought that it is enough for the information and got straight to the point. "Alright, before we continue the history lecture, could you please tell us what it is that you want us to do? You talk about freeing your people, but you also flat out admit that those little monsters are responsible for providing you with a comfortable life. What are we supposed to do about that? Hell, what are you supposed to do about that?" The Orphans of Avira become silent, including Serah herself, unable to answer her. The silence continued, and it become tense, until Eric spoke out a plan about bringing down the floating continent by destroying its power source: a huge piece of Anil, under the main island. By knocking it off, the Principality of Avira will descend to the ground, and the smaller pieces of the power generating Anil will cushion the fall. Liel once again, dropped her jaws, and shakes her head. She felt that this mission is an attempt to send them into the meat grinder. "What?! Are you sure about this?!" Arden is also disagreed with it, but somehow decides to go along. "I don't really like the idea of bringing down Aigle's most technologically advanced country to the ground... But, you can entirely sure I'm in this plan, as long as the payment was as good as the risk." He stops for a while, before continuing. "Nah, I'll accept it even if you didn't pay me. As long as I could get to that little runt and punish him for tricking me." Liel responded to Arden's statement. "Uhhh, although he betrayed us all, I don't think we should do this without proper planning!" And there goes Lord Blacksteel laughing uncontrollably. Liel stared at him, with an intent of hate. "And here you are laughing like it was nothing!" She sighed, while thinking what is needed to be said to Serah. "This is suicidal! Getting into Avira is difficult enough, let alone its core. I do hope you do have a proper plan drafted out. If not, I'm not going." ![]() ![]() |

@All - As I stated in the RP'ers United Club, UtPBS will be wrapping up after this short arc. I'm going to end it here and then look into making a sequel which picks up after a short time skip. The RP has slowed down quite a bit lately, so I figured that this was the best way to handle it. We can clear out all of the profiles of people that have dropped out, and so far it looks like we'll be able to pick up a few new members as well. [Anvindr - Bridge] Serah watched as the group of mercenaries reacted in various ways to the proposed plan. The older man in the group was laughing uncontrollably for some reason, while some of the others seemed a little hesitant about doing something so drastic. Still, at least a few of them appeared to be on board with the idea, driven by little more than vengeance against the young Avirian boy from earlier apparently. "I understand that this may be a little excessive, but it's the only way that we can think of to bring about a change. We do not have the strength or numbers to take on the Avirian military, and a revolution by the Avirian people likely won't take hold. At the very least, by bringing Avira to the ground, the Avirian people will have a chance to escape. Our belief is that if the Avirian bloodline is diluted, then further generations of children will not receive such heightened intellect from Anil. Whats more, without the majority of the population working for them, the children will be unable to do much on their own. Even with the advanced technology that they are capable of producing, they still wouldn't be able to fight off the kind of power that the people of Aigle possess." Miranda raised her hand to stop Serah from speaking. There seemed to be a major factor that Serah was forgetting about. "Hold up a second sweet stuff. Knocking giant floating islands out of the sky is all well and good, but what exactly do you plan to do about Ezio? Even if a miracle happens and everything manages to work out the way you want, there's still the problem of that little brat annexing Imelda and outfitting the entire country's army with Anil weapons. The current group of Avirian kids won't even need Avira if they manage to upgrade Imelda's weaponry, since crappy equipment and a competent leader have been the only things stopping Imelda from stampeding every other country in Aigle." Serah seemed to dismiss the question altogether rather than answer it. She only provided the barest of assurances that the situation would be dealt with. "We can worry about that later. There is a chance that bringing Avira to the ground will halt the production of weapons for the time being, so we should plan a course of action in relation to that matter when the opportunity presents itself. So, back to the matter at hand. We are going to pilot the Anvindr underneath the main island of Avira and drop you off at a small dock located there. It will be heavily guarded, so I'm afraid the battle will begin as soon as the hangar door opens. The four of us will lead you to the objective, but we will have to rely solely on your abilities to get past the doors and guard stations. We don't have much time before we get there, so I need to know if everyone is ready to do this." |

OOC: As I mentioned in the club, I fully agree with John's move to end it after this arc. It will bring closure (and some relief to worried senior RP'ers) for an excellent RP before we get started for its 'Season 2' ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [Malvinder Leonheart][Unknown Location] As he looked at the figure standing before him, Malvin's mind subconsciously told him she did not look a day older. Malvin: "Lucretia..." Lucretia: "It's been a long time, Malvin." The woman's smile nearly brought him to tears as he gasped her name again, Malvin: "Lu-" He was cut off when she suddenly appeared in front of him with a finger on his lips. Lucretia: "Hold up, lets go somewhere familiar first." The world around them shifted so much that he had to close his eyes and when he opened them he was shocked. They were standing in a clearing where there were nothing but flowers for miles in all directions." Malvin mumbled in stunned silence: "The Hill of Memories..." Lucretia smiled at him, "You remembered. We used to spend a lot of time here." Malvin gave an awkward look back: "I haven't been here since...since..." Lucretia's smile turned sad: "Since I died." Malvin's eyes grew dark and desperate as he fell to his hands and knees unable to even look at her. Malvin: "No...please Lucretia...please don't look at me. Please don't taint your eyes by looking at me." Lucretia's voice came out strained: "And why is that? Why cant I look at the man I loved?" Malvin gave her a look of a wild man and screamed out: "BECAUSE I KILLED YOU! IT'S BECAUSE OF ME YOU DIED! I FAILED YOU, LUCRETIA! JUST LIKE I FAILED EVERYONE ELSE IN MY LIFE!" Malvin's voice cracked as he began cry. Tears openly and freely fell down his cheeks for the first time in many years. Soon a pair of soft hands grasped his face and tried to full it upwards gently. He quickly moved his face so that those hands did not touch him. Malvin spoke in a small voice: "Please don't. Don't taint your hands any more. I poison those I touch and bring death." Suddenly a slap rang out and Malvin went flying. He crash landed and send flowers flying all over the face. 'I knew it...I don't deserve her forgiveness...I-' His thoughts were cut off when Lucretia screamed at him, Lucretia: "YOU UTTER IDIOT! DO YOU STILL THINK THAT I HATE YOU? AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A GENIUS????" Malvin for his part was plain dumbfounded as he received the woman's vitriol. Lucretia: "I never hated you, you gigantic dummy! How can you think that of yourself?" She knelled down and grabbed his hands firmly, "You have failed NO ONE, you big doofus. You are kind, strong, honorable and a great man. Why do you think that I fell in love with you in the first place." Malvin: "Lucretia, I-" Lucretia then pointed her finger at his face up close and silencing him. Lucretia: "Listen and listen good. There are still those depending on you you know. Wendy-chan has healed you now and those Avarians managed to get you out of there just in time." Malvin: "Wha- Avaraians? But they are the ones who took over Imelda??" Lucretia gave a sigh: "O boy, you been unconscious for a while. That guy in black, Sabrac after he stabbed you, proceeded to rip your party apart. He's dangerous...one of the most dangerous fighters on Aidel. Well, during the fight the transporter who brought you all to Imelda and some random dude joined in the fight." Malvin: "What happened?" Lucretia: "Sabrac's attacks cause cursed wounds which was the reason you were in real danger. He also managed to wound Hiryuu and Ryuu. You were all saved in the nick of time by some Avarian rebels. Right now, your on their ship as they are telling everyone of the problem. The gist of it is that on their island the weird rocks called Anil caused the kids there to become super smart. They took over the city and now set their sights on the rest of Aigle." Malvin reached the best way he could when receiving such news: "You have got to be shitting me..." Lucretia: "I aint shitting no one. Right now the Orphans aka those who are helping your party are laying out their plan." Malvin shook his head: "I've got to go back. I cant stay here, they need my firepower especially if that man...Sabrac you called him is still helping the brat Ezio." Suddenly the world began to glow white again as Lucretia smiled brightly at him. Lucretia: "That's the magic words. It's time for you to go back. Your body is cured of the cursed but your are going to need some quick healing to fix the leftover damage." Malvin: "Lucretia...I-I-" Lucretia then placed her finger on his lips again and spoke: "Get going, doofus. Say hi to Wendy-chan, Hiryuu-san, Ryuu-san and the others from Lucine from me. And promise me something, well two things actually." Malvin: "Anything." Lucretia: "First, stop blaming yourself. You are someone necessary for this world to survive. Everyone we know is going to place their hopes and futures on your shoulders. And finally, find yourself another girl." Malvin gaped at her: "Wha-" Lucretia's eyes were sparkling mischievously as the light nearly engulfed them. Lucretia: "I'm dead doofus. It's time you moved on. That Miranda girl seems like she will be able to keep your ass in line, go give her a shot. She saved you and Wendy from Sabrac's attacks. You have my blessing." Lucretia came close and held his face with her hands as the light nearly blinded him. Lucretia: "Live well, grow well, age well, and die a long, long time from now. I love you." With that, she killed him on his forehead making the light glow to nearly nothingness. The last thing he saw was Lucretia's smile of joy and he was sure he had tears coming down his cheeks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Received new passive ability: Lucretia's Blessing - Doubles the effects of healing abilities used on Malvin.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Anvindr - Bridge] Voices came to his ear she he slowly gained consciousness. Even with the advanced technology that they are capable of producing, they still wouldn't be able to fight off the kind of power that the people of Aigle possess." No one noticed that Malvin's face was twitching a bit. Wendy had already woke up and was listening to the arguments in the ship. The current group of Avirian kids won't even need Avira if they manage to upgrade Imelda's weaponry, since crappy equipment and a competent leader have been the only things stopping Imelda from stampeding every other country in Aigle." Malvin recognized this voice as Miranda's when the unknown voice spoke again. He hissed softly as he felt the pain all over his body. The four of us will lead you to the objective, but we will have to rely solely on your abilities to get past the doors and guard stations. We don't have much time before we get there, so I need to know if everyone is ready to do this." Malvin opened his eyes finally as he spoke loud enough for everyone to hear him. Malvin: "Well then...Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?" Everyone was stunned for a second and many shouted out at the same time Wendy grabbed his with tears in her eyes. "NI-SAN" "MALVIN!" Malvin gingerly pushed himself up using the walls while hissing in pain. He still gave a grin to his party although they could see the pain in it. Malvin: "I got the gist of the situation and I agree with that Avarian *points to Serah* that the brats on that island need to be spanked. I do not want to imagine Imedian soldiers with Avarian weapons attack our homelands." Wendy squeaked: "But, how did you know what's happening? You were unconscious, ni-san?" Malvin gave a sad smile to her and spoke to her. Malvin: "Lucretia's ghost visited and knocked some sense in me." Most of the people looked at him in confusion or fear that he lost his mind. However those like Ryuu Akumu and Hiryuu Valentine who had served with him in battle knew what he was talking about. Malvin gave Miranda a smile and spoke, "It's not important. What is important is that we take on those brats. I have a feeling in my gut, Miranda. Ezio is probably on his way to Avira now and we better cut out the root of this weed before it spreads. Even if he is not there, its a rick that other brats might move from Avira to take over the other countries like he did." Wendy took the time to began to heal his wounds and was surprised. 'His body...its like my healing magic is somehow even more powerful on him...is that something from Lucreti-san?' Malvin looked right into Miranda's eyes to emphasize his point: "We stop them here, or we wont stop them at all." ![]() |

Although I'm rather uninformed about what's going on, I do check back weekly and I support Jon's decision. I'm not sure if I'll be here enough (got Navy'd for life...) to post actively, ehehe. I'll put myself on a status quo and see how things turn out, and if I might go over to S2...? ------------------------------- Excellen narrowed her eyes, after listening to all the Excellen-forgotten Avirian information. She held no hatred for Avira, yet something didn't sit right with her. She knew invasions were bad, and that the little children on the ground would be trouble. "Maybe we should've let the lady in the prison take the little ones away.", Excellen muttered to herself, while wandering inside of the bridge, picking up random objects, stuffing them inside of her shoulder guards and her arm shield. Excellen slowly pulled out a full speed loader of explosive cartridges, swinging out the Stake's chamber, then loaded it full. With a small spurt of green particles from the rear of her armor, Excellen turned to look at the Orphans. "I do not know if this airship is capable of firing onto the big stone. This airship will have to deal with many other airships, and the big island's anti-air. If this airship is shot down even before we get to the big stone, it would be...unproductive. While many people down there on the ground shout 'I've always been ready to give my life for my country!', I don't think this airship's people would, for Avira." "But I'm ready. I will...see to the end.", Excellen said, then turned to look out the window, whispering to no one. "I bet Avira's king was an apple." ![]() |

OOC : Alright, lets get this one to end and start the Season 2 [Anvindr - Bridge] Arden looked at Liel as she responds to his statement, he sighed and then responds. "Liel... Vengeance drives people to agree with or do crazy stuffs, I mean... If he didn't betray us I wouldn't do this thing." Serah then proceeds with the reason she came to the plan to make Avira fall to the ground. Miranda then raised her hands and pointed out a factor that Serah had forgotten, Imelda's new Avirian leader and improvement in their armaments that would lead to invasions in the future. Serah shrugged out that factor and continues with the plans. The group will be dropped at a small dock and will fight their way to the core. Arden, noticing that factor as Miranda pointed that out, raises his right hand as well after Malvin was done with emphasizing his point that they should not worry about Imelda's future actions. "Well, I'll just be blunt here if thats okay... You see, even if Avira falls to ground, I kinda agree to Miranda at this matter, would they need Avira to conquer Aigle? I mean, they have the army they needed, and they could provide the army with the armaments that the army needed. Unless we could coordinate the fall of Avira to Imelda, it could majorly decrease the number of Imeldan Armies... But with that plan, there will also bound to be a major count of innocent deaths at Imelda. I don't want this though, what am I thinking to came up with this plan... I'm pretty sure that someone is from Imelda and didn't want that to happen. Other than what I've just said... I'm ready to do this." Arden finished with a forced smile. He knew that doing this would risk his life in a great possibility to die. Even if he will die, he wouldn't regret the fact that he fought in the land he longed to reach... Avira. |

[Liel Vanguard] [Anvindr - Bridge] At the bridge, Serah tries to convince some of the unwilling, to join in the effort of bringing Avira down to the ground. Liel crossed her arms, and her face expresses a great deal of disagreement. Serah mentioned that by bringing down the floating island, they will have a good chance for the oppressed Avirians to escape, and perhaps a revolution. She spoke for a while, until Miranda stopped her. Miranda asked what the Orphans of Avira should do with Ezio after sending Avira to the grounds of Aigle, and brought up issues such as outfitting the entire country with advanced weaponry. As for Serah, she dismissed the question, and a quickly briefed everyone on the assault of Avira. "We are going to pilot the Anvindr underneath the main island of Avira and drop you off at a small dock located there. It will be heavily guarded, so I'm afraid the battle will begin as soon as the hangar door opens. The four of us will lead you to the objective, but we will have to rely solely on your abilities to get past the doors and guard stations. We don't have much time before we get there, so I need to know if everyone is ready to do this." Liel frowned at the simplistic plan. Before she can say anything, Malvin is up. As for Excellen, she loaded her weapons. And for Arden... "Well, I'll just be blunt here if thats okay... You see, even if Avira falls to ground, I kinda agree to Miranda at this matter, would they need Avira to conquer Aigle? I mean, they have the army they needed, and they could provide the army with the armaments that the army needed. I'm pretty sure that someone is from Imelda and didn't want that to happen. Other than what I've just said... I'm ready to do this." In an instance, anger took over Liel, and grabbed him by his clothes, with her eyes stared at him. From a bystander's view, it was obvious that Arden is taller and more muscular than the ex-guardsman. "What are you even thinking?! Even though that kid took over Imelda and back stabbed us, this doesn't warrant such destruction! You think dropping that goddamn island on my country would actually prevent some kind of war?!" She took a deep breath, and released her grip from Arden. "I just want to find a less risky alternative to solve this pile of mess. I guess I don't have a choice now..." Liel leaned on the airship walls, with her arms crossed again. She does not know what to expect when the Anvindr lands on Avira, but one thing she knows for sure: it is going to be the worst battle ever since Vermillion Compound. ![]() ![]() |

@Destiny - It's no big deal. I'll take control of Excellen whenever you aren't around for an extended period. So if you still want to take part in the second season, then go right ahead. The only thing you missed was in the Gendou RP'ers United thread. I'm deciding to close out this RP after this short 'The Fall of Avira' arc due to the slowly declining activity in UtPBS. I felt that it was better to bring about some form of closure to the RP and then start a second one as sort of a 'Chapter 2'. This gives everyone a chance to kind of start over after a brief time skip, allow new people who want to join the RP to get in and let other people drop out (without feeling guilty about ditching the RP halfway through). Other than that, it will also give me, the RP Creator, a chance to review the entire plot and tighten things up a bit. A major problem I've had with this RP so far is my general lack of consistent direction. I switched the focus of the RP about a third of the way in from being about ruin explorers and the Aigle's Gale Guild to being about Ezio and his journey to get back home. Then I switched the focus again from being about the children of Avira getting abducted to being about them being flat out evil monsters. Then there's all the stuff that I introduced and immediately ignored (the Aigle's Gale Guild has almost been completely forgotten about at this point, along with half of the strange locations I outlined, like the ghost city in Lucine that nobody dares go near). I also want to get a better logo image done (which I had always meant to do) and possibly switch the theme song to something a bit more appropriate. [Anvindr - Bridge] Malvin had finally come to during the conversation and seemed oddly passionate about everything. He gave Miranda a look and told her that they had to stop the children her or they would never be able to do it. "O-kay. Skipping over your reasons for being so weirdly hellbent on doing this, I'm still on the fence." Malvin had weirded her out a little, but she was quickly taken aback by Liel's sudden outburst. Arden had brought up the option of attempting to crash Avira into Imelda in order to take out some of their army, which was a little extreme even by her own standards. Liel took huge offense to the idea and seemed ready to attack Arden outright, but before Miranda could move in to try and pull her off of him, Liel had calmed down and backed off of her own accord. Serah tried to reassure Liel as best she could to relieve her fears. "I understand that you are concerned, but we have been planning for this day for a long time. We've thought about using other methods, but with our limited numbers and strength, there is simply no other way to go about doing this. Avira is our homeland, and whatever happens as a result of this plan will rest solely on the four of us, so you do not have to worry about bearing any responsibility. As for your own country, I can guarantee that Avira will not land on a populated area." Serah then looked around at the other warriors on the bridge. Most of them seemed to have different reservations about the plan, especially the armored girl from Avira. "As for the safety of everyone involved with this plan, you should have no reason to fear for your lives. It's true that the Anvindr may not survive the approach on the dock, and among this entire group, The Orphans of Avira are the least likely to survive at all. We have accepted that. As for all of you, given the abilities of the Aigle people compared to the Avirian's, you should not have much to worry about. They may have better weapons, but you have to remember that they are nowhere near as fast or as strong as you. What's more, the guards are not serving their country, they are there because they are being forced to be there. The greatest threat to them and their families are the children, so I expect most of them to be apprehensive about halting any kind of assault on Avira or the children." Miranda once again raised her hand to bring up an obvious question that Serah seemed to miss again. "I've got to stop you right there. . .again. You just said that this ship probably won't survive the attack, so how exactly are we going to escape to safety?" Ethan decided to field Miranda's question this time, as he had knowledge of the area that the group would be in from his time in the military. "If the Anvindr is out of commission by the time the Anil crystal is destroyed, then you simply need to take the transport lift to the island's surface. Like Eric stated, the island won't be falling per se, it will just descend. The islands that compose Avira have a large number of small Anil deposits throughout it that were put in place in case the main crystal were to ever become nonfunctional. Even if the main crystal was to be completely destroyed rather than simply damaged, it would likely take a few hours before Avira would land in Aigle." Miranda stroked her chin a little as she heard Ethan explain the details and answer her question. She had to admit, the group had planned for just about every possibility. She was also relieved to hear that if the ship was destroyed, the group would still have a few hours to retreat to safety on the island's surface. "Well, that works for me. I'm in, I guess." Her questions had been answered, and knowing that there would be escape routes helped to ease her worries. 'I hope this all goes according to plan. This has the potential to bring a lot of fame with it if it works. I could end up being one of only a few members of the AGG to first step foot in Avira. Plus, if I could snag some of the Avirian's weapons and stuff along the way, I could get a ton of money for it. No more getting attacked by guard mercs and squishing my way through tiny cracks in those dirty old ruins just for a slim chance at a payday.' The group of warriors had all seemingly agreed to the plan of action proposed by The Orphans of Avira. None of them were positive that what they were about to do was the right course of action, but they also agreed that it appeared to be the only option open to them. Unless something was done, Imelda would end up becoming an unstoppable force, and there was no telling whether or not Ezio would immediately turn all of Aigle into a war zone. The Anvindr approached Avira as quickly as possible and met only light resistance. The island itself proved to be beneficial to the group as it prevented the Avirian ships from firing on them from above. Because the current generation of Avirian ships were designed for attacking ground targets, they had a difficult time hitting the ship from equal altitude. The Anvindr managed to make it to the dock in one piece, with surprisingly little damage. The Orphans of Avira had apparently forgotten about the fact that Avirian airships were all trade ships, meaning that most of the Avirian fleet was nowhere near the country, not that anyone in the group could complain about this fact however. Everyone in the group disembarked at the dock with the exception of Nerina, who stayed with the Anvindr to keep it prepped for the escape. The guards inside the underground facility were well organized in terms of a defensive formation, but as Serah suspected, they did not attack the group as fiercely as they should have. The supernatural strength and abilities of the foreign intruders were frightening to the Avirian guards that had likely never met warriors from Aigle before. |

[ Lord Blacksteel | Anvindr- Bridge ] Richter finally managed to stop laughing long enough to talk. He straightened and took a deep breath, wiping tears from his eyes. "Why am I laughing? Because it's all so ludicrous," he said. "I mean, first I get double-crossed by a kid, then you guys swoop in and save us, and now you want all of us to knock your floating island nation down to the earth so you can give your kids a time-out." He shook his head. "Ridiculous." In the span of a few minutes, the entire mess had gone from unbelievable to flat-out ludicrous. And yet Richter felt a perverse need to stay with these people, just to see the whole thing to the end. If anything else, the resulting war would earn him more than this venture. "Well, fine," he said. "Count me in on this. That kid needs to pay for screwing me over." His eyes narrowed as he fixed his gaze on the Anvindr's crew. "But I expect payment for this. I'm a sellsword, not some goody-two-shoes hero. I don't do things for free. And something this big--" Richter flashed the group a devil-may-care smile-- "you people better have a ton of money if you want to keep me on your side." As the Anvindr's door opened, Richter caught a glimpse of guards on the other side. Unsheathing both ax and sword, he stepped forward, intending to be the first out. |

Time to post. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [Malvinder Leonheart and Wendy Marvel][Anvindr - Bridge] As Wendy and Halion healed him, his wounds recovered at double the rate of a normal person and yet none of them had an answer. Soon they arrived close to Avira and the Orphans managed to guide the ship to an underground facility of sorts where they immediately disembarked for the attack! The man that Malvin only knew as Lord Blacksteel unsheathed his sword and axe and leaped out first. Charging into the crowd Malvin noticed that as one of the orphans said, the guards were not really giving their all to stop him. The incredible fury of the man seemed to scare them stiff. 'They don't have experience fighting people from Aigle I see...' Malvin grabbed Wendy and was the second to leap out of the ship. Landing in a crouch, he let her go so that she would move into formation behind them. At the sheer height they that Avira was, the air was utterly saturated with moisture making his job easier. He spun and with a quick wave of his hand, condensed the water vapor in the air to create a small tidal wave. Malvin: "Aqua Vocal: Nami! (Wave)" Using his control of the water he smashed it into their lines and sent most of them flying. He made sure to have the wave make a few more turns to sent most of the guards flying. One of the wet and dripping guards slurred: "M-Monster!" Malvin snorted at him as he spoke to his teammates: "We'd best move out now." [Timeskip - 15 Minutes Later][Avira - Main Flight Crystal Facility - Ground Floor] As the team moved upwards from the lower ground portion of the facility to its ground floor. They could see a large elevator that seemed to be the one described in their plans. They qucikly moved to secure it. [Same Location - 5 Minutes Earlier] As the first sounds of battle reached his ears from the floor below, the man in black sitting on one of the railings overlooking the ground floor closed his eyes. He felt no kinship or such to those guards fighting below. They were forced to follow his orders despite their extreme fear of him. Sabrac finally stood up and stretched slightly. Without realizing, he began to speak to himself, Sabrac: "So the imprudence of letting all of you go in the past comes to haunt me now. Due to my nature, I'll have to do the best I can in each situation. Just as then, now, and always. I will fulfill the request, and when there's energy to spare, I'll get rid of any other interference." Soon, the he spotted the party emerging from the lower floor to the ground floor. In his hands appeared a massive claymore. As he began to twill it, he continued speaking to himself. Sabrac: ""What's the point of continuing a fight that has already been decided? Why do you fight? Why does everyone..." Finally, he held the claymore firmly and leaped down on them. None of them could scene his presence again. He finished his self-speech but again no one could hear him. Sabrac: "I'll end this now. I will break this defiance. Stating...with HER!" Sabrac lifted his blade over his head as he planned to drive it into Miranda's skull when suddenly he felt his clothes become slightly wet. 'Wha?' Down below, Malvin's eyes suddenly widened as he quickly condensed the water near him into a minor wave and sent it flying over Miranda's head. A massive impact was seen as the wave carried something and crashed into a pillar. From the dust a figure stood up dressed in black as Wendy gasped at the sight. Wendy: "Sabrac!" The figure's red eyes narrowed as he called out to them. Sabrac: "That should not have been possible. How did you know I was there?" Malvin had drawn one of his katanas as he narrowed his eyes at the assassin. Finally he replied, Malvin: "I didn't." Sabrac: "Then how..." Malvin: "You caught all of us, especially me by surprise the last time. I've been going over and over in my skull of you did it and I just cant wrap my mind around it. It took a question from Wendy to finally give the a clue." [Flashback: Anvindr- Bridge] Wendy: "How...how is it no one saw his attacks at first but we could see them later?" [Flashback End] Malvin: "From there I spoke to the others about their fights with you and finally pieced the puzzle. One of your abilities is a curse that increases the size of wounds inflicted. The other is the ability to store weapons in a separate space and sue them at your leisure. However...your final ability that is the key." Malvin mentally flashes back to the wound inflicted on his chest before continuing, Malvin: "It should not be possible for a normal person to be completely undetectable. It goes against the laws of nature itself. However, I remembered something. There are some people who posses abilities called 'concepts'. A 'concept' temporary inserts itself into the very rules of nature. I know a man in Lucine who has a concept ability where 'his arrows always strike when he is in a forest'." Malvin then pointed his katana at Sabrac and snarled at him, "I realized then that your final ability is a concept that somehow makes you undetectable temporary." Sabrac was silent for a moment until he brought his hands up and clapped slowly. The sound echoing through the large and empty room. Sabrac: "To be able to discern my ability to such a degree when you barely saw it...no wonder you are considered dangerous. But that did not answer my question." He pointed to Miranda who was next to Malvin an spoke, "How did you detect me when I was about to drive my blade into that woman's skull?" Malvin's eyes narrowed as he replied, "Ever since we landed, I've been keeping a thin layer of water around us. I don't know if you noticed but I've made sure to stay in the middle of our party when moving so that I can maintain the layer about 15 meters around us or so. When I felt 'something' large break that layer but I sensed and saw nothing, I knew it was you." A pair of axes appeared in Sabrac's hands as he twirled them around. Sabrac: "It seems you formulated a plan, but that plan is now truly unfeasible. Let's see who dies first while developing a new plan." Malvin drew his second katana and spoke to his team, "Everyone get going. I'll stop him here." Sabrac: "Stop me? This I would like to see." Malvin: "Bring it." In a flash both of them vanished and appeared in mid air, their weapons crashing. Neither side gave way as a shockwave emitted from the impact. Wendy: "Everyone let's go!" As the others made their escape, Malvin spun around in mid air and attempted to kick Sabrac which was blocked but his arm. The both of them were sent flying and quickly used pillar to balance themselves before launching at each other again. Malvin's cut was blocked by a spear when a second one tried to sneak under it. He quickly ducked under and tried to swing and boot Sabrac in the fact but the assassin simply dropped his spears and used both hands to block. They hung in mid air for a second before falling. Malvin landed and sprung towards the falling Sabrac. He drove his shoulder into the man and they both smashed through a wall. Sabrac recovered quickly and uppercutting Malvin hard. The impact send him crashing through the roof where the assassin followed. Malvin landed but recovered before charging at Sabrac again. As the assassin came up the hole Malvin made, he droppkicked him, sending them both smashing through another wall. They tumbled for a few seconds before righting themselves. Sabrac stood holding a large halberd and Malvin his katana. Malvin swung his katana to a side before running his finger on it and shouting, "Aqua Vocal: Hebiransu. (Snake Lance)" A layer of water appeared on his katana and surrounded it causing it to acquire a longer form with a wavy edge, much like the curves of a snake. Sabrac moved is hands and several chains burst out from the air behind him towards Malvin. Malvin quickly adjusted his grip and took a stance. Malvin: "Gara Gara! (Absolute Emptiness)" Malvin swung the katana with such force that the walls behind Sabrac nearly exploded. His chains were torn to shreds. From out of the dust, Sabrac appeared under Malvin's extended arm, holding a large warhammer. Sabrac: "A gift!" The impact was incredible. Malvin flew through the roof and several floors above. In fact he flew so high that he actually passed by his own Party going up. He heard Wendy's gasp before he continued his assent. Wendy: "Wha-" Looking down he spotted that Sabrac had followed him and was still holding that hammer. Malvin gathered the water in the air and send it falling in the form of several types of weapons. Malvin: "Aqual Vocal: Hyakurai! (Hundred Thunderclaps) Sabrac quickly summoned a shield that he used to block the attacks. He then saw an opportunity and tossed it at Malvin. Malvin used his katana to send it flying but Sabrac was in his face. A quick headbutt and both of them back off in mid air before crashing into one of the higher floor railings. The assassin tried to take advantage by using a pair of dagger to attack but Malvin's lightning quick senses let him block and counter attack instantly. Malvin then pressed his attack when Sabrac launched a massive shuriken from out of thin air towards him. Malvin managed to slap it aside and quickly spun to block Sabrac wielding a pair of rapiers now. Sabrac: "The situation never develops the way you wish it would. In that case, what do we do? Is forcing my way through the only option?" Malvin barely stopped himself from spitting in the man's eye. Malvin: "Give it a try then!" Both of them delivered another series of attacks ending with massive pair of strikes that smashed the railing. Both of them crashed sideways into another room resembling a garden. As they stood up, they eyed the other. Their last attacks finally managed to hit the other. Sabrac's left leg was bleeding while Malvin had a small cut on his side. Suddenly Malvin hissed as the wounded open slightly. He then gave a feral grin to Sabrac. Malvin: "So this is your curse huh? Feeling it live is different I guess. But at the rate it goes, I wont be taken down so quickly you know. My attack did more damage and you curse needs a lot more time to get to that level." Sabrac gave a chuckle: "Is that so?" Suddenly Malvin's wound open even larger until it nearly matched Sabrac's in size. Malvin: "What the-" Sabrac: "Do you know what is the problem with the people of Aigle? We have grown pathetic. We each are born with 3 natural abilities unique to each individual. Most learn them to a degree, some like you master them to their highest levels. At the end however, we stop growing. We stop striving to evolve. Only a handful of the people know this, but ours abilities are actually just the beginning." Malvin: "What are you barking about..." Sabrac shook his head in disappointment: "You disappoint me. I hoped that you would understand but it seems that I must show you." The assassin raised his hand as a runic circle appeared on it's tip. Sabrac: "Having great power doesn't change anything. I simply go through life, accept missions, and kill targets. I am capable of defeating everything. I never worked for this. This simply is the power I possess." Malvin raised his katana as Sabrac continued, Sabrac: "Haven't you ever looked truly at your own powers? Did you ever wonder, 'What happens when we take it to the next level?'" Malvin: "The next...level..?" Sabrac: "All of our 3 abilities posses the potential to go to the next level. But almost everyone does not bother to even try and do it. The 'curse' that you all have seen is called 'Stigma'" Malvin: "Stigma..." Sabrac: "Exactly. It quite simply cause ALL wounds I inflict to increase over time. However, the problem is if that the original wound is small like you so arrogantly pointed out, it takes time to increases to wound to a fatal level." Malvin's wound began to open again but at a pace similar to before. Sabrac: "So I finally found a way to make it truly fatal. The second stage of Stigma...at that stage, I can control the size of the increase in the wounds." Malvin's eyes widened, "So that's how you-" Sabrac interrupted him loudly: "Let me show you the true power of evolution, the power that the foolish people of Aigel have forsaken!" Malvin: "Not if I get you first, bastard!" Sabrac raised his hand with the runic circle towards Malvin who charged at him. Sabrac: "Look upon hell. Stigma Level 2: STIGMATA!" ![]() |

[ Anvindr ] Arden was surprised when Liel grabbed his clothes as he finished his last statement, she stared at him. Arden looked at Liel with a surprised look. "What are you even thinking?! Even though that kid took over Imelda and back stabbed us, this doesn't warrant such destruction! You think dropping that goddamn island on my country would actually prevent some kind of war?!" She yelled at Arden, it was obvious that she was angered. Arden kept silent. She then took a deep breath and released her grip from Arden. "I just want to find a less risky alternative to solve this pile of mess. I guess I don't have a choice now..." Arden looked at Liel. "I... I'm sorry for that heartless thought of mine... Even if I said that, that doesn't mean I want to do that kind of thing... I can't bear to see those innocents died just because of that." Arden paused, before he could continue, Serah tried to comfort her. Way to go Arden The group then proceeded with the actual planning, the island won't fall, it will be more like, descending. The group could escape by using a lift from Avira to Aigle if Anvindr were out for good. Arden nodded, he looked at Liel again but quickly turned his face away. The group then waited as Anvindr approaches the dock with surprisingly minimal damage. [ Avira ] Lord Blacksteel was the first to jump out followed by Malvin and Wendy. Arden jumped down as well. Alright now... Lets get this over with. Malvin decimated the first set of guards and continued to the Anil core. "You don't have to go overkill at them though..." Arden critiqued Malvin's action, he knew that the Avirians are mostly weaker than average Aigle people. He then picked up a guard's sword and ax. The sword and ax itself was made of Anil, it was more sturdy, and stronger than his last weapon. The group then arrived at the building where the core was. Suddenly, Malvin shot a wave of water right over Miranda's head and hit something, pushing it to a pillar nearby. "Whoa." A figure stood up, it was Sabrac. After some talks about his abilities, the group then proceeded without Malvin as Malvin fights Sabrac. |

@Roxas - Sorry to cut your fight a little short, but I separated the ending so that you can finish it up in your next post without causing problems in terms of the time it takes. @All - Everyone should be wrapping up now. If you want to post something for your characters reaction to the end, then use something to separate it from the rest of the post that takes place at the base. It's not a big deal either way, but it shows a kind of time skip between the events at the base and the escape. As I stated before, there will be another Under the Pale Blue Sky up soon that picks up shortly after the events of this one. If you plan to continue on into Part 2, then I can link your character profiles in Part 2 to the ones on this page. Of course, you can just copy the profile over to Part 2 if you feel like it. This is the time to decide on whether or not you want to stick with this RP (for those of you who would feel bad about leaving it otherwise). It's also a chance to update your character profiles to change abilities, weapon types, or even the characters themselves if you want to (you're more than welcome to ditch your current character and start with a new one). Anyway, further details will follow, and I will be sending out PM's to everyone that was recently active to see whether or not you'll be continuing. [Within Avira - Island Support Base] The group was making a quick advance towards the center of Avira when something suddenly shot past Miranda. The blast revealed the warrior that had appeared with Ezio back in Imelda and Malvin moved to intercept right away. Miranda looked back over her shoulder as she ran past, continuing on towards the objective with the other fighters and the Orphans. "Oh thank the gods, Malvin is playing with that guy this time. The dude really creeps me out." Ethan had been following the rest of the group towards the center of the island, struggling to keep up with Miranda and the others, just as the other Orphans were trying to do. When Malvin revealed the concealed attacker and started fighting him, Ethan immediately remembered him from the Imelda rescue attempt from earlier. "Excuse me, Miss Miranda? Weren't you fighting that guy when we came to rescue you in Imelda?" Miranda gave a quick confirmation that it was the same person, telling the Orphans that he appeared to be one of Ezio's main goons. Serah, Eric and Ethan all gave each other looks upon hearing this and Serah expressed the concern that they all apparently shared. "How could that man get here so quickly?" Eric raised a possibility as he fired at one of the guards ahead, hitting him in the shoulder and causing him to fall to the ground. "It was only last night, so he would have had to leave a little while after us. Why come here though? It's not like attacking Avira was a logical move for us." Serah started running through possibilities in her head, but had to shake them off to stay focused on the task at hand. "It's too late to worry about that right now. We are already past the point of being able to retreat." The group finally arrived at the center of Avira. A very large pale green crystal stood in the middle of a large, but cramped, cavern. Miranda looked around the room and the crystal, noting it's size. "Not bad. So, how do you guys expect to break this thing?" Eric looked behind him for a moment to make sure that there were no guards moving in on them, then proceeded to explain. "You shouldn't have much trouble smashing it considering the abilities you all possess. This Anil hasn't been refined, so it's still relatively brittle." Miranda was the first to attack, not wanting to linger in the area. She managed to smash a fairy large chunk of the Anil into pieces and the others in the group followed suit. They broke the large crystal into as many pieces as they could until Serah signaled that it was enough. As the group began their retreat back to the Anvindr, the Orphans started slowing down much more than before. "Come on, you managed to run here without keeling over, so how come you're all worn out already?" Ethan stopped for a second to catch his breath. There were few guards in the area now since the other fighters had been clearing them out while the Orphans group worked on the crystal. The small breather allowed Ethan to notice something else however. The trip was much more difficult to run this time around, but he couldn't quite put his finger on why. They continued on once the Orphans had caught their breath and finally reached the hanger where the Anvindr was waiting. Once the entire team was back on board, the Anvindr took off and fled the hanger. Everyone on board breathed a sigh of relief as their mission was accomplished without being left stranded on Avira. Nerina's voice could suddenly be heard throughout the room calling for everyone to head to the bridge. Unlike the others, she certainly didn't sound relieved. 'Everyone! Everyone please come to the bridge right away! Avira, it's. . .it's-' The group all headed for the bridge as quickly as they could, but none of them moved as fast as the other Orphans of Avira. When the various fighters arrived at the bridge, they saw that the four members of the rebel group were crowded around the left side of the bridge and staring out at something. They were all silent, but Serah was on her knees and unresponsive, her arms hanging lifelessly at her sides. Miranda made her way over to them and was about to ask what was going on, but as soon as she cleared the wall and made it to the glass her question was answered. "What's up with you. . . guys. . ." Miranda stopped cold once her mind registered what she was witnessing. Avira was slowly falling from the sky as planned, but not in the way that it was supposed to. One side of the massive island was descending quicker than the other, causing the entire thing to tilt. The edge of the island was turned into a waterfall of assorted debris and bodies. Some of the citizens were lucky enough to be in their houses or behind grounded structures and managed to hold on, but the majority were now sliding across the island, desperately clawing at the ground or anything they passed before reaching the edge and plummeting to the land far below. Serah was in hysterics at this point, gripping her head and speaking through her sobs. "No! No! NO! We had it planned! It was all planned! We triple-checked everything just last week! What the hell happened?! . . .what did I do?. . ." The rest of the Orphans stayed completely silent and didn't so much as glance at Serah. Miranda simply placed her scythe against the railing and turned her back to the glass to lean against it herself. She crossed her arms and didn't speak another word. |

[Liel Vanguard] [Anvindr - Bridge] Despite Serah's assurance that no lives will be lost during this mission. Even if there is, it will be only the lives of the Orphan. Still, Liel did not relax herself. Miranda brought the issue of transportation, and this time, Ethan decides to explain that there will be a transport lift that takes everyone up to the surface of the island. After her outburst on Arden, Liel has been quiet and only listens to the discussion. Even with Ethan's explanation on the escape route, she is still worried as ever. Since almost everyone, including Miranda herself, agreed to execute the plan, Liel has no choice, but to go with it. The Anvindr zipped through the defenses on Avira, and landed on the dock. Everyone left, except the pilot of course. The multi-national party made their way to the underground facility storing the aforementioned Anil crystal responsible for the island's levitation. There are defensive formations of guards stationed inside the facility. Somehow, the guards did not attack them as fiercely as in Imelda before. Liel once again, fought her way in, with her two-handed longsword, and new list of skills. [Within Avira - Island Support Base] As everyone advance, a man arrived in front of them. It is the dreaded Sabrac. Somehow, Malvin was able to counter his moves and thus the two of them began a duel. As for Liel, she continued in the party's efforts to break through the defensive formations of the Avirian guards. After several fights, everyone arrived at the center of Avira, where the large Anil crystal was situated. After confirming there are no guards behind them, Eric proceeds with an instruction that is about to change Avira's fate. "You shouldn't have much trouble smashing it considering the abilities you all possess. This Anil hasn't been refined, so it's still relatively brittle." Miranda was the first to smash the crystal. Liel however, is not inclined to destroy the crystal, until everyone started attacking it. By taking a deep breath, Liel gave a full, mighty swing with her sword, so powerful that it formed a disc-shaped wave. The wave then struck the crystal, severely damaging it. After that, Serah stopped everyone and ordered a retreat to Anvindr. However, during the run back to the airship, the Orphans had a hard time following up. As usual, Miranda cooked up a comment of her style. Liel took a second look at the damaged crystal, before heading back. The Orphans of Avira finally caught up with the Aigle fighters, and quickly boarded the Anvindr. In the airship, Liel wiped her sweats off her forehead, and holstered her longsword, before carrying it on her back, as usual. Before she could speak, Nerina anxiously calling everyone to the bridge with the airship's PA system. "Everyone! Everyone please come to the bridge right away! Avira, it's. . .it's-" The Aigle fighters quickly made their way to the bridge. The Orphans gathered on the left side of the bridge and stared at Avira, through the window. Liel raised her eyebrows, especially after looking at Serah. Like Miranda, she also made her way to where the Orphans stood, and took a careful look of the scene. As soon she saw the view, Liel's mouth went agape. Shellshocked is the word to describe the current stance Liel was having right now. "B-By... the Gods..." she stammered. The island was descending, as planned, but in a bad way. A portion of the island was descending way much faster than the other side of the island, causing the whole island to tilt. The view was horrible, as debris, and even persons, falling to the edge of the island, to the lands of Aigle below. The leader of the Orphan, went hysteric. "No! No! NO! We had it planned! It was all planned! We triple-checked everything just last week! What the hell happened?! . . .what did I do?. . ." Liel sighed so loud that almost everyone in the bridge can hear it. She closed her eyes, and turned away from the falling, tilted island. "Looks like we just turned into mass murderers..." she muttered. - The End - ![]() ![]() |

[ Avira - Island Support Base ] With Malvin dealing with Sabrac, the group advances to the Anil core. The group notices the size of the room as well as the size of the green crystal. The crystal itself haven't been refined so it'll be easy for the group to destroy some chunks of it. Miranda was the first to strike, followed by Arden, he puts his weapons to his sides. He then charges up for a strong punch, a fire appeared on his hands as he charged. He punched as hard as he could. Resulting in a fairly large amount of small chunks of Anil to fall to the floor. That should do. Arden then decided to stop, he picked up some chunks of Anil. After Serah signaled everyone to stop, the group then runs back to the ship. But something was somewhat different, the Avirians slowed down more than before. Arden wondered why, he didn't feel any changes. ---------------- [ Ending ] As the ship escaped Avira, the group was relieved that they survived and no one was left behind. But then, Nerina called everyone to come to the bridge, she doesn't sound relieved. It turns out the island falls not in the way the Orphans had planned. Serah was frustated and hysterical to see the outcome. While Arden... He looked upon the sights emotionless. He let out a sigh. " This is..." Arden did not continue his words, he was shocked at the outcome. |

Being the relatively slow tank she was, Excellen has ventured little from the ship. Being all restricted in ability to maneuver meant resorting to merely shooting random pieces of rubbish at the unwilling guards from her armshield and shoulder guards, a rather uncanny way to fight. Naturally, the guards could lazily deflect the pieces of rubbish being shot at them. It was obvious they were fighting an Avirian. Both Excellen and the Avirian guards probably felt the same about fighting in this conflict. "..." Excellen had ran out of rubbish and junk to shoot at the guards, and they similarly lowered their weapons. Their eyes were tired, some lifeless. From a distance, both parties could see the Aigle team returning to base. As if was a gentleman's agreement, or rather something else, Excellen nodded in sync with the guards. The guards and the hidden scientist, left the vicinity of the Anvindr, never to return again. The guards had delivered what she needed, a crate for her. There were loud bangs, cracking and sounds of general destruction. [Ending] With the onset of Avira's Fall, Excellen had instantly noticed something wrong with the axis of the island. Warnings and alerts blared in her ears, her mind. Quickly boosting the crate into the Anvindr, Excellen waited a few, to see if any stragglers remained. Everyone else had boarded by then, so Excellen slowly closed the door. With a metallic bang and some twists of the lock, Excellen listened to the announcement by a shouting girl. She had already understood, without needing to go to the bridge. Excellen slowly sat on the crate by a window, cracking's lid it somewhat, looking out. Slowly placing her hand on the window at the sight of Avira's Fall, she merely watched in silence. On that day. Under the Pale Blue Sky, which Excellen once fell out of, would now be a bloody rain. [Malvinder Leonheart][Avira - Main Flight Crystal Facility - 7th Floor] Sabrac: "Look upon hell. Stigma Level 2: STIGMATA!" Malvin's wound ripped open massively spilling blood. But at the same time he managed to reach Sabrac and tackle him through the wall. The both of them landed awkwardly but Malvin hissed in pain. Sabrac recovered quickly and closed in on Malvin. Before he could react, Sabrac landed a hard punch in his gut followed by a vicious backhand that sent him flying. Malvin grabbed a nearby pillar and spun around in time to kick Sabrac who had jumped after him. A katana in Malvin's hand came down at the exact moment that Sabrac's hand held a poleaxe that nearly impaled him. He managed to slap the weapon away but Sabrac's boot caught him in his injured side and sent him flying through the roof again. This time they ended up in a room with a giant glowing piece of Anil. Sabrac popped out from the hole that Malvin made and tried to smash a giant battleaxe into him. Malvin rolled away and managed to get to his feet but the axe scraped his left leg. Sabrac: "Stigmata!" Malvin hissed as the wound on his leg tore open to the near bone and another wound he did not realize he had on his back also rip open. Falling to his knees he watched Sabrac advance towards him leisurely spinning two swords in the air. Malvin had one more trick up his sleeve. Concentrating, he searched for the garden that they fought in earlier and for the small stream running through it. He soon felt it and its source and willed the water to flow upwards. Moving it through the floors and making them come to him he watched Sabrac reach him with a sword reach to strike. Sabrac: "It's over." Malvin smiled grimly: "For you, Aqua Vocal: Kanketsusen! (Geyser)" The water erupted from the floor under Sabrac with massive force. It smashed into him and lifted him up higher and higher crashing into several pillars. Finally Sabrac crash landed on the ground and did not stir. Grunting, Malvin dragged his bleeding carcass to his allies. As he reached them and the orphans fiddling with the controls when he sensed something. Turning around he just managed to raise his katana to block Sabrac to attacked them with a pair of claymores. Sabrac: "I wont let you!" Malvin grunted with effort to force the assassin back as he snared at the orphans, "HURRY!" "Done!" One of them shouted and Malvin took the chance to send Sabrac flying with another wave of water. The party quickly made their escape with Sabrac hot on their heels firing weapon after weapon at them. Malvin had erected a shield of water in the narrow corridors that blocked most of them expect for a few that broke through. When they reached the Anvindr there were some guards there that tried to stop them but were fought off by the others. As they ran into the ship, Sabrac and Malvin were dueling with each other. Their swords clashing and sending minor shockwaves through the hangar sending nearby Avarians flying. Wendy: "Ni-san! Hurry!" Sabrac stepped back for a second before holding his hands to summon another weapon when Malvin used several tendrils of water of force him back temporary. He then used some of his blood and once again wiped it on both of his katana. Water surrounded both blades and seemed to created larger versions of them when Malvin ran towards the struggling Sabrac. Sabrac panicked and attempted to stop him by tearing his wounds open. Sabrac: "NO! STIGAMATA!" Malvin roared as he ignored the pain and arrived at the assassin. Malvin: "AQUA VOCAL: HEBILANSU NITORYU: RASHOMON! (Snake Lance Double Blade Style: Castle Gate)" In a similar move to his Gara Gara, Malvin using both blades performed his attack. But the difference was massive. He destroyed a part of the hangar sending it to the ground below. The last thing he saw before running into the ship was Sabrac falling to the ground as well. ------------- [Ending] As Malvin rested his weary body on the floor of the ship, Wendy began to remove Stigma from his body and heal him as well. Suddenly a shrill voice resounded through the ship, 'Everyone! Everyone please come to the bridge right away! Avira, it's. . .it's-' With Hiryuu and Ryuu steadying him, they rushed to the bridge. Upon arrival, Malvin spotted the Orphans looking our of the left side. Malvin: "Oi, brats. What's got you all in a-" Miranda at the same time walked up to them and spoke, "What's up with you. . . guys. . ." As soon as she looked out of the window she froze. Malvin hobbled over and looked out before his eyes widened in sheer shock. Liel was the next to reach them and she also spoke softly, "B-By... the Gods...Looks like we just turned into mass murderers..." Wendy arrived next and began to cry softly at the sight: "What...have...we done...All those...people..." As she dissolved in tears, Malvin subconsciously pulled her closer to him as Arden arrived next, Arden: "This is..." One of the orphans began to scream and cry in horror, "No! No! NO! We had it planned! It was all planned! We triple-checked everything just last week! What the hell happened?! . . .what did I do?. . ." Miranda simply placed her scythe against the railing and turned her back to the glass to lean against it herself. She crossed her arms and didn't speak another word. Malvin placed a hand on her shoulder and gently squeezed before letting go. Malvin had some final words for his comrades as they saw what seemed to be the end of the world for Avira. Malvin: "This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." On that day, the people of Aigle looked up from under the pale blue sky searching for hope. What they saw was the blood red of death. -fin- [Bonus Ending: The Assassin's Fate] ![]() |
