Anyone play the demo yet? It's pretty friggin' awesome. Game comes out I think this week, but I'm not getting it. :O

Dude, the demo is intense. My first run-through was uneventful, but empowering, and when I saw my brother play, I couldn't believe it was the same map D: I think it controls better than other racers of its ilk, and when you're going fast, you feel like you're going fast.  |

My first three races playing the demo ever I destroyed and got first place three times in a row. Just a few days ago or so, I somehow got an 8x multiplier!! Not sure how it was possible, but I literally got an 8x multiplier. Strange? But epic. All I did was plan my destructing from 8th place. I drafted until/drifted until I had enough for a level 2 power up, then just waited until the first tower, and did it early since I intentionally stayed in last place, then a few seconds after that, you see a huge destruction of smoke and cars in the air and an 8x mark on the screen. XD The demo could've and should've had an online component though. :

I've yet to not get first place >.> Which is fine by me :D I may end up getting this game sometime down the road. My best combo is 5x, at the exact same spot you described, accomplished in much the same way xD |

Yeah it gets boring after a while though cause it's too easy to win. I'll probably delete the demo this week.

I did once race where all I did was literally race, no power ups or anything. It's dumb though, no matter how far you're ahead, the Ai will just suddenly come behind you at certain points of the race, but I guess that has to be done because of the powerup thing, but yeah I don't need to draft to earn my power ups, it's so easy.

somehow i can't download the demo yet, i'm not quite sure what happened, i really wanted to try playing it first anyhow the game came out yesterday, probably two or more days here at my place well the issue where the Ai kept right on your tail and overtaking without any problems has always been mentioned in almost all arcade racing games they have to look into it for the next game or so i only have Shift for racing games, so probably going to get this one    |

The demo should probably still be up on PSN, regardless. Why can't you dL it, that's strange. And yeah, this game is pretty good. Comparing it to Burnout'd be a good battle. Not sure which I prefer, maybe Split/Second.

Got the full version today. Wicked sick game, totally awesome, despite I'm not into racing much. One should consider playing it. Don't want to compare to Burnout Series, 'cause i don't think it's the exactly same thing. Split/Second is more bombastic in some way.  |

Have you played online yet? How does the game look in HD? (if you have an HD TV of course :P)

Online's a mess ^^ But it's still pretty herd to beat the leaders, so I'll stick to single player for now. The game looks fine in HD, thou I can't set up AA level. The settings tab lacks precise setup for me. |

lol, Blur was kind of like that, too. This game's really intense, if you manage to master the timing of the power ups of Level 1 and 2, you're gonna be a master. Of course learning to gather up the power ups without having to draft so much.

got the game today, hooray~ the game is totally insane! i really love it! looks very stunning in HD, with the sound turned up :D one thing bothers me, this game did not set the enter button as my default PS3's which is O, to continue the button shows up as X in the game but really, i have to press the O to continue this didn't happen as other games such as Tekken 6 and FFXIII... hmm so at first i pressed the X button for autosave as shown, but what i did was canceled the autosave feature, i finished up to episode 5, then when i played for the second time, i have to start all over again lol "-.- the second time i played got a straight 1st place in the first episode XD ..with the trophies already obtained ^_~ there are some aspects that bugs me too, such as the Ai passing through corners without having a slight drift at all O_O and restarting at 6-8th place after wrecked by rivals "-_- anyways it's still a great game oh yeah and Blur, it looks like any other games with weapons, power ups and all... not sure it'll be a big hit or not |

Nah I didn't like Blur, played it on my roomate's Xbox. Drifting is lame in that game, I prefer drifting styles like in Split/Second. How many trophies are in the game? Are any of them hard to obtain? Ai is like that in the game it seems, and yeah when you get totaled you start off kind of in the middle, but usually it depends on how far you're ahead, at least in the demo, but I barely got totaled in the demo cause I was totalling everyone else... XD

there are 47, or was it 49 trophies? i forgot, i only obtained around 20 up until now on episode 10 now, but damn, some stages are like impossible to get 1st, the Ai always overtake in the near end or got wrecked by them i haven't tried online yet, since i don't usually go online when playing games.. ^_~ |

Yeah Burnout Paradise had a lot of trophies, too, but I heard it was an easy Platinum.
