Hi, can anyone help me with this? I couldn't download any song as all the song i tried to download says 'html document'. what does that means and how can i continue download? the first time i saw that was yesterday and i didn't notice the 'html' stuff, so i download like usual, i did notice the download speed was slower then usual but i didn't pay much attention to that. then when it finish downloading and i check at my folder, i notice it wastn't the usual mp3 symbol, it look more like an internet icon to me (look like the alphabet 'e').

I am having problems downloading songs as well. It started downloading at about 10kB/s and then eventually drop to 0 after 5 seconds or so.. Sometimes it increases a little and then drops back if I am lucky.. The progress never went pass 70% even after hours. I tried with both Google Chrome and Firefox.. Both gave the same result. Without any accelerator.. And I am not in a campus, office or anything.. It's my own connection. The last time I did a proper download from Gendou was early January I think.

Yep, seems to be a problem specific to Malaysia right now. There's nothing I, or you, can do.

I tried to download a song using both Chrome and Firefox. Both of them downloads approx. 7kbps - 6kbps, and it doesn't reach 10kbps. I wonder if ISP had issues lately...  |

That might explains the low-kbps download throughout all downloads. Some place could reached 40kbps by my current connection. Even torrents also didn't reached 10kbps... Although loading website is quite as usual... |

| hi im also having same problems. Recently all of my mp3 downloads end incomplete. I have already downloaded a hundred songs in Gendou using same IE but I have never encountered problems like this before. |

I too am experiencing this problem. I tried two dozen times last week to download Requiem for the Phantom OP2 and every single time it got approx 0.3Mb from completion and stalled out. I was never able to finish the download, either in Firefox or IE. Today I'm continuing to have the same with the xxxHolic Kei OP. It's definitely a Gendou-specific issue for me. Was able to download Requiem OP2 from another website with no issues.... |

Looks like you downloaded the complete file to me: [29/Aug/2010:21:43:20 -0700] POST /download/sagegaigar/.../8805.mp3 5,334,159Gendou.com sent the entire 5.1 MB to your IP address. If your computer didn't save the whole file, it's your computer's own problem.

Hmm... well my computer didn't have this problem until I tried to download a couple of songs from Gendou.com this month, and for whatever reason the problem continues to persist. And Gendou.com downloads have never done this in the past and I have not experienced a similar problem with any other website or file download. I attempted to download the file you quoted again. Firefox gets to 4.8 of 5.1 with "a few seconds remaining" and just halts at that point. IE gets 4.83 of 5.08 and does the same, no matter how many attempts I make. Same stopping point every time. Since you have logs I'm sure you can see I attempted to download Transparent at least two dozen times and it never fully completed. |

The fact that the recorded response size is 5,334,159 means that the entire file is being "sent" from my web server to your IP address. A TCP packet is known to be "sent" when an ACK packet is received, and that is the case here.
