What to get a girl for her birthday?

Well, we're going into grade 12 and it's close to my friends birthday. She's a girl and I'm a guy xD. So, what I thought of getting her as a birthday present was a medium sized stuffed Winnie the Pooh bear :D for $40 from "One's Better Living". I think getting her the bear would surprise her but I'm not sure in what way lol. She could think that it's childish and she's too old for it :( which could be pretty embarrasing for me and her lol. But if she likes it everything will be fine :D!! I'm not too sure though :(. What do you guys think I should get for her? And is the winnie the pooh present a lame idea :(? Also, what would you get for a girl on her 16th-18th birthday? Please, make it something appropriate :P. |

hmm.. pooh bear would be fine and that age still young, so I don't see anything to worry about if you gave her a pooh bear. xD But what you think she love the most? a bracelet, or necklace maybe? But remember, doesn't need to be expensive, anything would be fine I bet. She'll appreciate that you got something for her and she can keep it for remembrance and friendship. :) |

Give her Run's House, lol. :P But no seriously, what kinda of girl is she? Does she even like Winnie the Pooh at all? What kind of relationship do you have with this friend of yours? Tell me a bit more about her, and when is her birthday exactly? Also, do you have a picture of that Pooh Bear? For my cousin's birthday one time, I bought her this 70$ HUGE Fumoffu~! Bonta-kun near China Town. What a rare find, expensive, but the thing was huge! Relationship wise, she's probably the closest person (of three) in my life, I love her a lot and we're very, very close. We hardly got it through the door and I had to carry it around, it was pretty heavy. -________-" It was hard giving it up, cause... I like Bonta-kun, too! =T3T=

| She's one of those cute shy quiet girls who don't talk much in class, but she seems to be fine chatting with me. She loves to watch movies and spend time with her family and she's just a really nice person :P. |

exactly what are your relationship with her? how close are you with her? friend? close friend? regardless of your relationship, pooh is not a lame idea friend? pooh is good but try to keep it not so grandiose and expensive, a smaller one is better imo close friend? almost everything is good, they'll treasure your gifts or maybe you're wooing her? xD

Winnie the Pooh is good IF she likes the character. Bracelets/necklaces/earrings are the easiest presents for girls....but do make sure she's not allegic to particular type of metals (unless they are not metal then is no need). If not, bags are OK too~ ^^ Most importantly, is the thoughts that count... though dollar does somewhat add value to it...  |

How about a gift card to her favorite store. That worked for me. Just like Engel said, its mostly the thought that counts.   |

Dude, do you think if you should put the winnie the pooh bear was lame for you? or the girl was waiting to giving you a present? or else.. if you give as present which is expensive or not. my point is if you are willing to giving her a present from your heart. your present was worth it. btw.. did you ask the girl if she likes the bear.?

| We've been friends for a few years and we're close I guess, but as for her interest it's obvious for most girls but for my friend she doesn't really mention anything :P. She's really nice,quiet, and cute. But since I didn't know what she was into I decided Winnie the Pooh because I know she has a winnie the pooh blanket lol. She also enjoys going on the computer and watching movies except everytime I give her new movies to watch she doesn't watch it so I stopped that lol. |

~ I think I saw this thread in Animesuki! ^^ stuff toys is a very common gift these days but it really depends on what she likes. theres also no need to buy expensive ones. choose a simple but really cute gift that you think will make her smile! ^_^  |

| lol, I like all of your ideas :D. But I do not intend to make her think that I have a crush on her or something :P. I just want to get her something to show a sign of friendship :D. Do you guys think the winnie the pooh is too much :(?. I thought if I gave it I could make her go like "awwwww, it's so cute" or something like that, I don't want her to misunderstand it as something else. It's just a gift of friendship :D. |
