Well if you have to pick between those two probably Seed. But barely. They are both really similar. Hopefully this thread will get big. It's always fun to talk about Gundam. And Seed leaves you with lots to discuss. It took a lot for me not to go on a rant and bash both shows. It's tough love. I'm the same way with Star Wars and Nintendo. In my mind no Gundam series is better than 08th MS Team and 0080. Maybe I mean 0083 I can't remember. Maybe I ment both. Also there are still some I have not seen. Imagine what Norris could do with a Strike Gundam. |

Seed... Wing just continued a story that kept reapeating itself where seed actually moves along, and really following only 1 main character made it easier and also allowed more of a story line to be filled in.

um...hard to choose. Bishonen Mania (Wing) vs. Who's gonna die next? (Seed). They're both decent in my opinion, though both do fail to explain much in the detail of background info. Like with Troa Barton in Wing, and like how Kira transformed to a mere coordinator to THE ULTIMATE COORDINATOR...kinda makes me think Cagali got jipped. I'd have to agree with Erick Damon on this one. It's almost hard to bash on these shows, but I still love and watch the Gundam series. Except recently with Destiny, it seems like the only motivation for me to watch it is to see who's gonna die next...seriously, don't act like you knew what was going to happen in ep. 28 of Destiny.

like gundam wing is able to beat gundam seed...... u must be messed in the head if gundam wing can beat gundam seed (seriously Gundam Seed will like own them...) How about comparing mobile suits? Situation: Zero and Freedom being surrounded by tons of mobile dolls. kira and heero know that they are not piloted by any human- natural or coordinator. what are they going to do? |

I liked Gundam Seed, but Gundam wing is interesting too from the fact that i only watched gundam wing ~endless waltz~ So i don't really have a say in this.

Gundam seed was definitly good compared to gundam wing, to me gundam wing was kinda the same thing over and over and over and it got really boring but if you had seen gundam wing BEFORE gundam seed maybe it would seem like that but who knows

well,if u guys anlayse it probally here goes>>>>..... GW(gundam wing) is more on its battles and not much about the storyline... it focuses more on the pilots, how they feel when in battle ,wat they are gonna do, wat are they gonna reacted... see how the love story goes between relena and herro!!?? they barely started... they just tell us they like each other and nothing else... NOT EVEN IN ENDLESS WALTZ... the story of the other gundam pilots are not released as much as herro and relena... maybe onie trowa barton... their battles are great at the beginning, but when u watch for a few more eps, they will start to bored u... but every new style of fighting excites you again and push u to continue watching... rating:7/10 GS(gundam seed) this anime honestly i am surprised.... first by its graphics and its style of battle..(flashback... remember the scene where kira yamato first pilots strike????) it is very clear how much work they put in to it... but when people think, not another GW????, it amazes us again with the significant love story and scandals behind...(flashback.... remember how flly starts going out with sai but later change to kira and cagalli liking kira first before switching to athrun???)this is enough to prove that GS is one anime worth to watch... next, is about the wonderful wonderful music behind... have any one ever realize how amazing the song (ist ed) mix around with the scene where athrun hands the bird over to kira??? and how the song (meteor) shakes us up with the amazing melody behind??? not to mention (find the way) as its mix around with the sorrowful mood of the last ep of GS... all this i feel is enough for one to be addicted to GS!!!!! rating:9/10 well, i can't full marks as i can't ignored the fact that the anime can still improved!!!!

I didn't magage to see much of Gundam Wing but what I did was much better than Seed. Seed was just too cliched. |

I remembered Wingers at other boards I posted at tended to be critical of Kira being whiney. If I thought a Gundam series had an annoying character, it was Relena. She's probably the character I can't stand the most out of all the Gundam series'. If it weren't for Relena, I think Gundam Wing could have been on my personal top 5 Gundam series which is (1) Z Gundam, (2) Char's Counterattack, (3) Gundam 0083, (4) Gundam 08th MS Team, and (5) Gundam First. She was a total hypocrite (like she tries to advocate non-violence but she tried to kill Col. Une) and she seems to not know that ideology government can never work. SEED was pretty much a remake of Gundam First for the first half, but it seemed to change in direction after that. It ended totally different than I expected and I think it set the series up for a very good sequel. I thought the Gundam designs were ok and I really liked the naming. Made up a cool anagram for the Gundam word as well.

Wing is really like a boring series.... they dont get much of an adversary not like in Seed 4v1 at first..... then it kinda got better with them plot twists.... but the love story in GS kinda lacks abit Overall GS owns GW |

oh man, romance is not as important as the conflict itself. Kira in GSD have a lot of character development i mean REALLY a lot. He improved from GS making him going on top of my favorite character list already, good thing. Cagalli's going down though...

ok i see that many people here likes GS mor than GW. Scenes: But here is what i have 2 say yea gundam wing became boring fast but it did have some comeback scenes like the 1st flight of he wing zero where it wipes out every colony in its path. And what i like in GW that there is lots of battle scenes. ok so seed's episodes were all cool cant argue with that. so seed wins Adversaries ok so the mobile suits were no match 4 d gundams but as i remember in G. SEED. Kira wiped out a jinn wid only a dagger and by the way when d freedom was released. All that opposed it was destroyed where's the match there?. And what about the new strike freedoom. if you look at its weapons it's imposible to beat.ok so the strike had problems but 4v1 i think not Mu's mobile armour provided lot of cover for kira. come to think of it i always see only kira and athrun battling it out. about adversaries for me its a draw.. Mobile Suits: ok so the gundams were cool Aegis, Duel, Buster, Blitz and strike and then.. Calamity, Raider and Forbiden at last.. Freedom and Justice in Wing 01 Wing Gundam, 02 Deathsycthe, 03 Heavyarms,04 Sandrock and 05 Shenlong and.. the had customs and V2 (kai custom 4 d heavy arms and sandrock) then came.. 2 zero systems Wing Zero and Epyon so if u analyze a little the pattern of the last 2 gundams Freedom and wing zero Justice and epyon it's kinda the same especialy in destiny strike freedom has a combining gun and devastating fire power=Zero infinite justice rely's on it abilities in close combat=Epyon ok so in the mobile suits gundam Seed wins Story no questiones asked of course seed duh wing's story juz wanted to show how humans acted like their wars would never end and hatred. while in Seed at first it was just kira protecting his friends as the story goes on kira realizes that he had a gift that he sould use to help others unto saving the earth. And its about friendship, love and war so ok there's more but that was the main theme ryt? heh and yea who dosen't like seed mode its the coolest so wing loses to seed.. aww but if you analyze carefully look at d freedom and destiny what gundam's blueprint did they use for them? Remember Gundam X and Double X and Strike Freedom's gun was from the buster yea remove the buster from d episode and give it's arms to the freedom!! i h8 it >_< (bec Buster and Heavy arms are 2 of my favorite gundams)

He's talking about Destiny's yet-to-appear Freedom v2 (currently "officially" named the Strike Freedom; previously Nu Freedom and Super Freedom). And on the note of Kira's " 'Mere Coordinator' to 'ULTIMATE COORDINATOR' transformation; it's explained... Well, first of all it's not a "transformation" at all, just Kira unlocking his natural potential as the series went on, with the fact why he is such a good pilot being explained by Rau later in the series (That being that Kira was the subject of an extreme experiment to create a said "ultimate coordinator" Aaaaand... how exactly is the "love story" in SEED lacking, especially compared to Wing? Wing was Relena annoyingly chasing Heero and trying to get any sort of emotion out of him while SEED involved several love stories/triangles. |
