Sheet music, Anyone?
Link | by on 2007-03-25 19:17:03 (edited 2007-03-26 20:47:40)
It doesn't look like Gendou is going to allow sheet music upload any time soon. So I decided to start this thread for anyone who would like to share any anime sheet music.

I play the flute so I can only play one note at a time. All the sheet music I transcribed is only for the melody. There will be no chords or bass. Now I don't know what you all prefer as far as format goes. I think PDF and jpeg would be acceptable.

Here is my version of the song "snow rain" from the anime Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's. It was transcribed in the key sung by the singer. It is a very simple song but the melody was quite haunting to me. I love this tune very much. Feel free to save this image for your own use.

Sorry, Lady Maia, I don't play the piano. I wish I could. Maybe somebody else does piano sheet music transcription.

I'd like to hear that too!! ^^

Heehee!! I bet you're really good at it, Without You!

Do you think you are better at drawing or flute? (that would give me an idea)

Now that you mention it, I did recent make a recording of "Kimi o Nosete" from Laputa, Castle in the sky. You can download it here. If it grates on your nerves, it is not my fault. '_'

@Eureka: to give you an idea of which of my skill is better (drawing VS flute), I have been drawing since I was 6 years old but I have only been playing the flute for little over 3 years. Personally, and honestly, I suck at the flute but I love it so I am sticking to it. :))

Here is another one of my favorite songs, "Hoshi ga kanaderu monogatari" from Mai Otome. I restricted the height of the image so it won't look so big. Also, some of the phrase toward the end were a bit nerve racking even for the flute. You can always play it a octave lower for you personal enjoyment. :)

Hmm...I might be able to transcribe it. I'm pretty good at playing by ear on the piano and the tune sounds simple enough for me to figure out. Are there any free programs out there that help you write sheet music? Otherwise, I'd probably have to draw it up in paint or something.

Don't be smart, you won't fit in.

I got a copy of Finale 2003 from a friend of mine but unfortunately, it isn't a freeware. I will google and see if such software is available.

I should probably ask before I really get into it, but (to the person who originally wanted the piano sheet music) do you want the melody + left hand or the actual accompaniment?

Don't be smart, you won't fit in.

Here is one more song I transcribed. "Shiawase no iro" from Ah My Goddess. Some of the notes might be off but it is 99% accurate.

Finally, I had a chance to sit down and transcrib "Pray" from Shuffle Memories. It isn't arranged exactly as the song does and I can't remember whether the key is the say as the singer either. I transcribed it in the key that is easiest for the flute. For those who like this song and can play it, let me know if I need to modify anything.

Enjoy.

I do transcribe. But I sometimes do it for a whole load of instrument (kind of like a mini orchestra) so there's no point of me posting it as it's super long with a million pages because the instruments occupy a page's length +_+

If I do some transcribtions of BGM into piano pieces, I'll post them ^^
But I don't know what to transcribe :/

Any pieces that anyone would particularly want? On the piano? :)

Sakura_wings: any particular songs u have in mind for sheet musics for violins? i mean, i could type out some for u if u want but i wouldn't know how to put the bowings in :/

I was about to ask... is bowing direction the only thing that is different between a violin music sheet and a regular music sheet? What about octave? I know the flute goes from C4 to C7 (I personally cannot play C7 note, I could barely play B6) How much can/does the violin cover?

I've got some music that I could post here (specifically a small jazz ensemble version of the Real Folk Blues), but I'm not sure how to change it from the .mus file that Finale saves it as to something that I could post here... Can anyone give me some advice please?

i think the BEST resource would be from Joshs' anime music collections^^ try googling it..a mixture of arrangements for diff. instruments available, although mostly for piano

ichigos..not bad too:P
