Lolz could you please read this kanji? It's My Name in Chinese so here it is 陸克文 im not lying, i really do have the same name as the Australian PM =) So, how do you read it in jap? or is there no such kanji? |

@Shin I think that would be Chinese(not sure which on the three) rather than Japanese. well on Google's translator using Chinese to English. it says dust plug. any ways here's the meaning of each kanji. in case you interested. 塞 塵 Edit: though they are being used in Japanese. I don't think that they are used that way in Japanese. |

I wonder where they are come from? I don't know if this can help you or not. 1st kanji : Red Crane 2nd kanji : Young Pine Tree 3rd kanji : Princess Camellia 4th kanji : Gentle Grass 5th kanji : Clear Stream 6th kanji : Blue Persimmon I believe they are names but since you are asking about the translation so I post it like this.

Hi all, My head got stretched as I don't know Japanese but I've been assigned a task to give names for fictional characters. I'm translating a male name called 上野俊男 into romaji, Can I use "Yoshio" (Hiragana = よしお ?) for romaji "俊男"? I would be happy if you guys suggest me an appropriate Japanese name for this (Please suggest that you felt the best, not telling me try this should be ok, or try that bla bla bla...) Please forgive me if there are errors as I'm not a Japanese, this task is tough to me. Thanks all you guys! |

俊男 is pronounced Toshio...whole thing would be Ueno Toshio as it is. A good link for names is http://www.jisho.org/words?jap=&eng=&dict=enamdic |

Right, my school finally got an anime club and someone asked if anyone could translate something to kanji. -_- While I don't know how personally, I know a place that does. :3 "Famiri Ken Kinmitsui Buzoku" → Kanji please. :3

I have not heard of きんみつい、but there is a word きんみつ（緊密）。 緊密（きんみつ） means close ; closeness,you use it like : 私とこの人の関係は緊密です(I have a close relation with this person) １．二月の十四日はバレンタインデー。その日は人々が恋する相手に思いを伝える日です。 ２．日本の文化によると、二月の十四日、またはバレンタインの日では、男の人しかチョコを貰える。そして丁度一ヶ月後のホワイトデーは、女の人がチョコを貰える日です。 Both above are my own translations,so there are surely mistakes ..（笑）Please correct the sentences if anyone spots any mistakes. Hmmm....I think it's better if I put much more simple sentences. Sentence 1 is good. So I'm going to simplify it so that it's easier for translation. I have some more new ones too...so sorry for the trouble... 2.[In Japan, only women give chocolates to men on Valentine's Day] 3.[1 month later, it is "white day"] 4.[On "white day", men are expected to reply by giving white chocolate] 5.[Usually, people give tomo-choko to friends, giri-choko to co-workers and honmei choko to loved ones] 6.[In Korea, women give chocolates to men on Valentine's Day] 7.[On "white day", men give non-chocolate candy to reply to the women] 8.[One month later, on the 14th of April, it is "Black Day"] 9.[People who did not receive anything will eat black noodles in a chinese restaurant] 10.[They mourn for their single life] This is what I think it would be... 2.[(In Japan, only) おんなのひとは おとこのひとに チョコレートを あげます] 3.[(One month later,)は ホワイトデーです] 4.[(On "white day",) おんなのひとは おとこのひとに しろいチョコレートを もらいます] Just simple translations will do.
