I would have to say Rurouni Kenshin, and if the anime Karas counts as a samurai anime than that would be another one. |

I've seen both Samurai 7 and Samurai Champloo, and both were very good, but if I had to go with which is best, I choose Samurai Champloo (because it's one that I would watch more than once),

the battousai is still the best ... hiten mitsurugi is still the best swordstyle...kenshin himura rules.... samurai 7 and champloo are good also.

I prefer Samurai 7 over any other samurai animes.. and also Afro Samurai!! all based on a different timeline.. Like a Futuristic Japan with samurai's.. ^_^  -Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask and he will tell you the truth. |

Rurouni Kenshin is the best. I was thinking about Basilisk but I remembered it was a Ninja anime, not a Samurai one.
