Wow!! This thread is close to the 1000 post limit...have to get ready for the continuation. I might do a more fancier thread like the one Ich-san usually does...but my CSS expertise is lacking :( Oh well i'll wait til that time comes....Thanks everyone for making this thread so active!!! *bows* Anyways as for episode 12. So that omnious episode title is about that & not THAT! I thought it was gonna be something else although it seemed too early for THAT. The episode really showed the rift between Tomoya & his father. As for the father's silence...it's like he has done so many things wrong towards Tomoya that he can't find the words to justify what he's done. Although later in the series Tomoya will be experiencing the same thing but i'll leave that until it comes. The scene after with Tomoya in so much anger that he seems to ignore Nagisa's plea. What made that scene so beautiful is despite Nagisa's constant weakness due to her health she was able to control & calm down Tomoya. This scene also again shows Tomoya's inability to handle the pain & depression that overcomes him...how he shuns the people who try to help him & tries to deal it by himself. However this scene as some has mentioned the very strong connection & feelings that both Nagisa & Tomoya have for each other. It isn't all that suprising cause in real-life many who find their 'soul-mate' have this strong relationship. You go through the good & bad with someone for so long it feels like nothing will break that. The proposal was different but not that uncommon...you see it it films all the time :D As for the 'Too Perfect' aspect...well let's just say it isn't as perfect as one will think. I'll leave it at that. Judging by the title of the next episode it looks like Nagisa's "FAKE" graduation will be shown. They showed a little of it in the movie so hopefully they expand it like in the game. *note* No CLANNAD this week cause of the holidays so we'll have to wait until next week for episode 13, just in case you were wondering why their isn't any episode on Friday.  |

It will be nice to have CLANNAD back soon...it was kinda excrutiating not being able to watch it the last few weeks. Anyways not sure if anyone saw this but at the recent comiket in Japan, Key sound label released a live CD that features performances from Lia, Rita, Chata & Tomoe Tamiyasu. A great CD to have if you are a fan of Key. I finally was able to see what Rita & Chata actually look like!!! For the longest time i always wondered....Lia we all know is a beautiful women. Rita is actually a beautiful lady as well & Chata well in the photos in the booklet she looked absolutely adorable in her white dress & glasses. I'll post the pics from the book as soon as i can get it uploaded to photobucket. As for the performances, Lia sound good live of course, Rita at times her voice gets strained abit but overall her singing was well done. Chata sounds as cute as she looks. Her rendition of MagMell was a little tough for her but she made up for it with Chiisana Tenohira & a live version of Dango was AWESOME!!! Tomoe is mostly a voice actress in games & her voice is of a loli. Her probably most recognizable voice is Rin in Little Busters!. High pitched cute songs. I'm looking for the original copy if any...cause at times CDs like these are only limited to comiket so it may be tough to find. There are torrents for this so i highly recommend you get a hold of it yourself. |

[@Izumo] When Clannad: After Story didn't air an episode two weeks ago, it began almost somewhat of a chain reaction with other series I'm currently watching, haha, how ironic. I can't wait to see it tomorrow/this weekend. Care to share some pics of Rita and Chata? Lia with glasses is adorable, almost reminds me of when Minorin wear's 'em!

@ DAngel-san Yeah sure i can do that...Oh looky here they are :D!! Btw it isn't Lia who has the glasses on it is Chata. Anyways here are some of the pages from the booklet, they are large images so you can take a closer look at them. Lia as you can see looks absolutely stunning!! <3 <3 <3 Rita (in the black boots) is as i expected...in the album she's probably the most energetic. Chata (glasses) is like i said adorable...it's the first time i've seen how she looks like. Even the MC Shinji Orito thought she looked cute...i heard Kawaii alot :P Tomoe performs only a few songs & she performs them like she looks in the pics.  < --- the 4 performers < --- Rita < --- Chata (KAWAIII!!!!) < --- LIA!!!! [@Izumo] No no, chigau~ I meant in general, this was before I saw your post/pics. Lia really shines when she wears a dress, though I always think of her hair style plus the dress is what makes her look unique and lovely. I've seen Rita before, perhaps, but it's been a while, but she's quite lovely herself. Chata (above) looks like this one teacher in this Japanese drama I saw before, but she does look like a school teacher. ^_~` I love that outfit Tomoe is wearing in that pic. She has those cute under shorts under her high skirt and her boot straps are all tight. What concert was this btw, was it recent or something? What's especially cute is the first pic where they have their signatures at the bottom. I thought all of 'em were adorable!! =^-^= The collage at the end makes me want to see this concert in its entirety. Chata looks like she's crying on the right side of the image, Lia looks the same as always performing (in a good way...), but who's drum set is that!!? Pretty... technical relating to these four signers who would be fine with a regular standard drum set. O.o` That's a pretty sweet set though... was there some drum solo out of randomosity? XD Finally, the episodes are back on air, and I will dL episode 13 in a little while, I already see its released so that's cool.

Just saw episode 13 & there are some priceless moments in it. Ever seen Nagisa drunk? Well you are about too & it is simply...speechless...it's that good!!! That whole scene with Sanae involved...i dare you not to laugh! There is also one brief frame that i found to be adorable. It is when Nagisa & Tomoya go out. Nagisa see's a dango doll in the window of a store. Her expression in this breif moment i have to commend the animators cause something about Nagisa in the scene makes me want to melt...so cute. She was glowing!! Another is the return of everyone including everyone's fave goofball....well sort of. Tomoya's reaction to his 'new' look was awesome! I like the fact that the 'fake' graduation was given it's full attention...& i can really feel for Nagisa when she gives her speech. Many of us can relate to her in that moment...no matter how hard or lonely school life is. In the end it is a time in our lives that we'll never forget, cause even if it is a small thing that kept you going you'll never change a thing. So in the end of the episode after recieving the blessing of Tomoya's father...oh & earlier the reluctance of Akio to part with his daughter in the challenge with Tomoya...shows how much Tomoya really loves Nagisa to try so hard. Sanae here was what you expect from a loving mother. Anyways Nagisa & Tomoya are finally hitched for real.... Now the real emotion & heartache of the After Story will be seen.....man thinking about it i don't think i'll be able to handle it... @ DAngel-san In all the concerts & DVDs i've seen of Lia performing she's always wearing those fluffly dresses. It makes her look graceful for sure, almost 'goddess' like.  You've seen Rita before? She's been doing this for a LONG time & this is the first time i'd ever seen what she looks like. She's mostly done music for visual novels & i don't think she's ever done anything for any anime as of yet. She's really good at what she does & i hope if Little Busters! gets animated she'll finally be more recognized by more mainstream audiences. Haha!! Maybe it is the glasses that give off this 'school teacher' feel for Chata. Like Rita this is the first time i've seen what she is like...she's known for her soft spokeness & calming voice so after seeing her i kinda expected it. She looks like a gentle person. Tomoe in the pics looks likes she's barely out of elementary school...she like young YOUNG! From what i've read the concert was done as a promotional thing for the release of Little Busters! EX (the adult version of the game), the date on the booklet says May 17th 2008 in Osaka. There was some studio work as well which explains the instruments like the drum set. Though i think that was just for mixing & not for the performances. All the songs are done live. Chata performed some slow emotional songs so i think she was just into her performance. The drum set was apart of the band which was used by Kenji Maeda. Jun Maeda (one of the composers) was doing all the programming while the other KSL composer Shinji Orito was doing most of the MCing. There was no drum solo though during the intermissions the songs 'Fantasy' from CLANNAD & 'Hope' from Tomoyo After were played. Like i said highly recommended if you are a fan of great music & Key...there are torrents available, but still i'm having difficulties finding an original copy. Btw...is it me or when there is a japanese concert the crowd always shouts out 'Hey Hey Hey Hey...' during upbeat songs. Anyways if you are curious here is the tracklist on 2 CDs.  Disc 1 1. [@Izumo] Yeah, though I always notice her hair. I think her hair makes it as well. There was a live she did where she was in some white, fluffy bottom dress, almost like a wedding dress exactly. I thought that's one gorgeous, goddess like image of her I've remembered in recent time. I think I've seen Rita, but possibly from her older days (like, not lately anyways). Or I sometimes pass by people I'm familiar with but I just never even realize since there's no name near the image or something, haha. Tomoe does look young, but I don't think THAT young, no loli super stardom now. XD I have to say though, her head seems like she's in her 20s, but her body doesn't match. She does have a cute face though, a really cheesy asian face, haha. lol, I've never been fans of torrents. Every now and then, perhaps, maybe... depending on the situation, but other than that I try to get everything else directly, and that's how I dL content off the internet mostly 95+% of the time. So these two CDs, are actually songs, but sung live? Or are they studio recorded? About the Japanese crowds screaming "hey, hey, hey, hey..." during those types of shows, I've noticed it too. There's actually a few things I've noticed over the years, actually quite a few... O.o` A few though I'm only gonna mention for now, that people might be more familiar with seeing, you see the synchronized movement within the crowds moving along with the song, almost like during orchestras with that guy with that stick guiding his musicians through the song. I also don't know why it's like Star Wars during almost EVERY Japanese musical show (depending on the genre type). I think a friend online told me something that could've been the reason, but I forget what he said. :O But I love Japanese crowds, compared to American crowds, they just seem more energetic, definitely more into it, more knowledgeable on what they're actually there for, and they just make things seem so fun and if countries and nations had a crowd singing contest naturally at concerts, Japan would win for sure! I also think that Japanese crowds know when to acually cheer during performance and when not to. There's a lot of examples of this, for any type of music genre, band, etc. It's pretty common from what I've seen. Anyways, not gonna diss American crowds now, so moving along... If I still knew piano I'd so give that a shot! I've seen some online, and some are actually friggin' insane. Ironic all of them are asian guys who just seem like regular fans, but they have some real talent, seriously. I'm sure if you posted those sheets somewhere on youtube comments, people would go nuts. :D

Finally having time to watch ep13 and post now. >_< Ep13 first! Despite all the playfulness of Akio, he is a really caring person after all, intentionally missing his cue to let Tomoya have time to speak up, even when he knows what hes going to say, and testing his determination after that. Seems like Sanae has grown a third antenna... or is it there all along? @_@" Yes, Nagisa's drunk scene is totally awesome. Seems like Nagisa is still pretty stingy after all. =P After that little reference to episode two my mind pretty much wanders off to when can more reference comes in, like Tomoya could just introduce himself as the cyborg again or so, but I guess that can be left for a MAD to be created. xD Aww, its good to hear familiar voices during the graduation. And the last time KyoAni would use the uniform I guess. Tomoyo~ And Nagisa is soo cuteeee! Even though she might be the oldest student to graduate but she is the school's number one moe queen! xD And then Nagisa appeared again with such a charming makeover, with a new name! Nagisa has to be KyoAni's most beautifully animated character ever! The episode preview is hilarious. Tomoya is still a child after all. XD Time to add what Izumo dident post: sheet music for Torch and both song's lyrics by the same source! First my comments on episode 13, which I just finished and man can I say, it's quite lovely all around. From start to end, there are precious and special moments that just run wild within me. First the battle between future father and son! That's a perfect name to describe this battle, or "challenge" if you may. The matches were pretty frustrating for Tomoya, but the type of person he is, never quitting and always trying harder than he should, he wins in the end. The ending was very dramatic when he appeared to be running to first base, then second, etc., but he ran over to Akio, bowed, and basically requested to take Nagisa's hand in marriage (in a very honorably type of way). Akio is very charismatic, and I've always loved his "cool" father personality. You can see it throughout parts of this episode, but to test Tomoya like that, the battle in the rain was epic. You can see Tomoya's maturity through the episode, or really throughout this season when he graduated from high school. I think during the time he spent training during work, Yoshino-san could see it as well (ironically always missing lunch to practice swinging, what!?). This first special scene where he bowed was perfect when the BGM music came in, I love this theme so much. As a father, you just have to see the heart and love and time spent Tomoya went through. It's a pretty special moment. The following scene is just FULL of love, withing a real family, any fan or anyone really, would just die. I thought in Japan you had to be 20 to drink? Though I'm confused with Nagisa's age. When they [Tomoya and Nagisa] met, we found out Nagisa stayed back (once). They became seniors and recently she had to stay back again. Of course she should be allowed to drink (legally) if she's already 20. She mentioned it took her five years to graduate, though high schools in Japan are typically three year high schools, so yes, I guess this makes sense to me now. ^-^" Moving along with that scene, her entire body gets red after only drinking one cup! The one noise she makes during the beginning of this scene is insanely cute, anyone else notice it? Her voice after she gets drunk is so uncharacteristic, but it's very cute since she's DRUNK! =^-^= After a bit of teasing from Sanae-san, Nagisa's drunkness running wild, and Akio being decieved (THAT was funny in the end, she was NOT teasing him, lol), Nagigisa's soundly sleeping away on Tomoya's nap. It later fades into the period where she gets sick again, though this time she can graduate for sure. They spend Christmas together which is always nice especially if you're doing it with the one you love, I know that scene you're talking about Izumo, you mean this one? In VLC, is was a bit difficult to take it since I had to try a few times (it's not still on frame like Zoom, but I dont't know how to take 'em with Zoom Player), but I got it after a few tries, no big deal. Yes, Sunohara returns, that phone call from Tomoya to him was kinda funny since it seemed like he wouldn't take no as an answer, or the only answer he really knew was yes, yes, and for sure, yes. So the graduation comes, and it's pretty special since it's all of the cast together once again. Nagisa's parents show up in cool fashion in the background, and everyone is dressed up in the school uniforms. It proves in high school how deep the relationship you make with your friends and other friends go. These friends in particular will always be around no matter how far they go, and to me, that's very special. "Okazaki Nagisa" flows right off the tongue for me, it sounds really nice actually. You're right about her "new image", she looks wonderful and gorgeous. You're right about the "After Story" finally kicking in. It's going to be tough and I don't wanna expect it, but it's coming now... brace yourselves. O.O`! The PV was pretty generous, but doesn't every guy in Tomoya's type of relationship do that? XD Onto another topic, I'm currently dLing the "KSL Live World 2008: Way to the Little Busters! EX" CD! I can't wait to hear all these songs, it's going to be great I can already imagine the feeling. :P It'd be nice to see videos of this on YouTube or something, too, but this is still awesome. Looking at the track list, there's no OP/ED from this season of Clannad, awwww. :( I recognize a lot of the songs on the track list, but I especially wanna see both of these songs sung live, especially the OP!

@ DAngel-san Yeah!! that is the expression of Nagisa i was referencing!! She looks so adorable there...her reaction also when Tomoya decided to get the dango stuffy for her was also precious. Mai Nakahara-san did a wonderful job in that scene...and yes i did notice that cute squeal she did at the beginning of the scene. Also again the animators did an excellent job on showing Nagisa's reluctance/fear/whatever you call it with her eyes shaking. A nice touch. The 'breast' reference was full of win too!! Tomoya's reaction was priceless! As for Nagisa's age she is one year older than Tomoya cause she had to repeat her senior year. They really don't say how old the characters are but i expect Nagisa is in her 20's while Tomoya is 19 or so cause you don't see him actually drinking liquor at all. By the end of the episode he's in his 20's which is why he appears a tad older while Nagisa actually looks older. The appearance of Ushio is getting close but before that happens the 'scene' that we all saw in the movie will happen soon...at least in the next few episodes. So we have to relive that moment all over again!!! After that ANOTHER 'scene'...than you'll understand what the illusionary world is all about. I'm looking forward to this but at the same time i'm not.... The KSL live CD was done before the new season premiered which is why the new songs aren't featured in the concert. The new season began in early October while this concert was recorded in May. I think you'll like the CD!! @ Xiao-san I take it too you also downloaded the KSL live CD as well as well as the Toki/Torch piano CD!! Yeah the scans ARE a tad big...& thanks for sharing the sheet music for Torch. I didn't post it cause i noticed that Torch isn't as popular as Toki...the piano version sounds great maybe more so than the original one. What is your fave track on the CD? Mines Kaze from CLANNAD with everyone! |

@izumo: Its big for a good reason; those sheets must be that big to be printed. =P If you can next time, try and post the whole thing so that others can take a look at the whole package instead of piecing data from different posts, that would make searching for things much easier. =D And my favorite would go to dango daikazoku; its simple, and everyone's singing along, complete with Chata's super moe singing! Personally I felt that her singing in the concert is much better than studio recorded, and the way everyone's singing the song in the latter half is simply fantastic. Whats a concert without fans singing to your songs? XD |

[@Izumo] lol, her breasts... you know I never noticed that much until that scene that she does have a nice bust! Sanae-san is just a perfect women, Akio has to be the luckiest person in the world. He yet again makes fun of her new bread, and the way he eats it before dueling with Tomoya was kind of funny as well. I think I fell in love with Sanae-san over and over multiple times in this episode. A perfect character/seiyu combo! I can sense 'that' particular scene you're talking about is coming up, yes, it's going to get dramatic. I listened to the CD roughly yesterday after it finished dLing, and wow I was so eager to keep on listening but it was like 4:30 AM in the morning and I needed sleep. :O A live CD is just the best, but this one especially is friggin' amazing, I instantly fell in love with it! I wish it was uLed online, especially the moments during the MC-ing parts, since I don't understand Japanese, but whenever I see them talking live with my eyes, I somehow have a better understanding on what they're talking about. One of my favorites, and I totally didn't see it on the track list at first was "Over"! Another classic song that was on that I also didn't see (lol), was "Kaze no Tadori Tsuki Basho". I really wished I played Little Busters! when it released, like I read about the release and everything, but I can never really get my hold on the games and I'd fear I have no time to play it if I dLed it. D: The music featured on this CD from that game is pretty nice, I have to say I love 'em, especially the very first track, "Little Busters!". It reminds me something that is from the '90s or something, but it's a really good song d00d. "Mag Mell" was sung pretty well live, again, another one of my favorites from this album. "Dango Daikazoku" has to be one of my top favorites as well, since I personally loved the song so much, even to this day. I can imagine seeing that song live, everyone's moving in sync, the delicate, soft voice of Chata, the crowd clapping along, the guitar that plays after the piano (kind of like a delayed echo effect). In the end when she has that "Dango, Dango... Daikazoku" solo, she seems to struggle holding onto those light notes, but she held 'em up pretty well. It's still so cute. I think the fans in the audience were fans particularly relating to the anime series involved (Little Busters! game, Kanon 2006, Air TV, Clannad). Kind of like the large crowd at the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou concert, if anyone saw that. So it's not a mainstream audience, but it's more of a concert for fans only in a way and the songs are all relating to anime mainly. :D To make it simply, it's a concert fantasy for otakus all over the world, including anime fans like us. ^_~`

CLANNAD After Story... Currently in EP 13 by the time I post this. Nagisa and Tomoya have married but... Something TERRIBLE might happen. This is well known for those who watch CLANNAD the movie or reading the wikipedia. What can I say is that Studio Key (If I'm not mistaken) has done a great job on creating harem animes like Kanon and Clannad. Those 2 have astounding graphics and the best storyline for me. I like Nagisa's new hair style... Looks matured. And I would like to ask everyone here the following questions: (I don't have the answers though but worth discussing) 1) How old is actually Nagisa and what is the difference between her age and Okazaki? 2) What is actually Nagisa's disease? Episode 13 is an episode that really dramatic .... Moreover, the incident baseball rivalry between Akio and Tomoya ... And in my opinion this episode is the best than the whole episodes... And I also like Nagisa's look now seen as more mature than the previous ... @ esi: their age difference, about 1 year because Nagisa repeat the third year in her fourth... and for the disease ... Nagisa not actually sick ... because since the beginning Nagisa's body is weak, so that when she birth Ushio, she has run out of steam already... Maybe this is something "terrible", but i think this is not as terrible as you think... because there's something "more" worse... it is *sorry it have been remove*  |

@ ES-san You're welcome & we look forward to seeing you more around here. As for your questions Z4ck987-san already answered them for the most part. However that last point is spoiler beyond spoiler! So if you could Z4ck987-san removing that last point would be great. Having played the game that is one of the most tragic moments in it & it sets up the 'illusionary world' & the reason for it. However many of the members here have yet to play the game & knowing such a spoiler may ruin their overall experience. So i hope you understand. Anyways i welcome you to the thread & i guess you've played the game already as well or did you just read about it? |

Ok Zack-san it is! I should've guessed that you've played the game before judging by your Little Busters! sig/avy. A fan of Key i take it also? If so you have good taste! About the spoiler, no worries. There are many of us who've played the game & know what is gonna happen in the anime, but there are also many new fans that have yet to play the game & watching the anime is their first experience with the series. So it is just a pre-caution to remove any spoilers for those fans. As someone who have played the game i'm interested in your take on the anime. Is it so far living up to expectations or exceeding it? I have waited many years for the anime so regardless this will exceed my views of it. I liked the subtle changes they have made as well in particular the scenarios for Yukine & Misae. They added little touches to their stories that made it the more worthwhile. I am interested to see how they handle 'THAT' moment that you mentioned cause it is THE moment in the game that leaves you speechless when you first see it. Very similar to another key (pardon the pun) moment from another Key game....having the same impact. It'll be interesting to see. |
