Those are typical fans who aren't into this type of anime genre, basically. Obviously, they DON'T know what the f*** they're talking about, though their comments never effect me. A lot of people and groups, etc. have said this to anime I really liked as well: Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, etc. A LOT for Haruhiism most definitely, lol, but they don't bother me. Sure I get pissed off being a huge fan of these series as well as various others, but they're just retards so f*** them. And yes, I haven't played the Visual Novel yet as well, though I think I can dL it, though there's like 20 parts (lol), and I doubt I'd have the time to do that, talk to friends, check out other anime, other internet stuff, music, lifestyle activities, etc. at the same time. >_<;

The visual novel is pretty big, but worth the space. Every single byte of them :3 @izumo: yes i have seen that review. I think that the reviewer is still assuming that Clannad After Story is still a harem, and ep23 is more than enough to cover the aftermath. However, After Story can be classified as.. family story? I dont think any anime has come this far before, but we know how it is going to be like simply because we have played the visual novel. With that said, they should read some summaries about the anime before giving their 2 cents. After reading DAngel's comment, I think that they assume that the first episode will set the direction of the anime. But that is not the case for Suzumiya Haruhi, and definitely not Clannad After Story(no point if all 24 episodes are all fillers). Hmm, if they cant even separate a filler episode from an episode that follows the storyline, can they even be called reviewers? =P My two cents on this XD  |

Yeah i understand not to be too flustered with the reviews of other people, but it just kinda irked me seeing them diss my fave visual novel like that. I guess they really haven't played the vn before or are more interested in 'other' stuff besides the story cause if they really know that part of the series they wouldn't have made those comments. I also agree that they think that the first episode was the direction the rest of the anime will take. I guess they didn't know the real bulk of the After Story comes later on when they focus on Tomoya & Nagisa as well as the Illusionary World.  Reading the reviews it made me think that they considered CLANNAD just to be another harem series. *Note* Actually the visual novel by itself isn't that huge...It's the voice patch that makes it so big. If you remember the original had no voices. The newest release of CLANNAD includes the voice patch already so you don't have to download or obtain it seperately, which is what you had to do with older versions of the game.  |

To join in on the whole "omg this series sucks" thing... Yeah, like everyone has said, you have your own preferences. Now, if they have actually SEEN the whole series and THEN made a comment, I have nothing to say (though I'd still be pissed at them), but if they're just judging it based on biased opinions, then they should just keep their mouths shut. Some just post reviews like that for the heck of it. I mean, they probably don't really have an opinion. XD I dislike series that are extremely popular too, and/or think it's stupid. I really don't get the HUGE HUGE HUGE fandom about SHnY (for example), but I STILL like the series. I don't dis it. Anyway, moving on~ I love the Clannad OST (my god, it's amazing!). One of the best out there ^^ |

does the after story have new big ost? or just the new opening and closing soundtrack yeah clannad have one of anime that have lots good bgm collection i still have YÅ«igi na Jikan no Sugoshikata(Meaningful Ways to Pass the Time) set as my alarm since clannad released xD the sax version is just perfect to get up in the morning xD

[@Izumo] Yeah I know how you feel about it. I'm probably not a big a fan for Clannad as you are, since you know more about it then myself obviously, but I still love it as much, and I do feel a bit offended when someone else offends it. I forget the term to describe it, but it's like they don't have the right to review it or judge it, y'know what I mean? [@Suzaku] Well there's a lot of fan bases that have been created and formed over the years of anime. Some are big, huge, and vast, while others are kinda "underground" meaning they're not so "mainstream" if you know what that means. I don't wanna use "TYPE-Moon"'s name since I'm not so into their series and franchise as much as others here, but a good example for a mainstream fanbase could be Haruhiism of course, although it like departs from mainstream if you get in depth about it. Like people know about it (if you know how mainstream media works), but it can be "underground" since fans would be more in depth about it then others. It's probably impossible to explain from me, so I'll just stop trying. XD There's much more to "Haruhiism" then just what you think. It can get so complicated, trust me. =^______^= Anyways, I wonder if there's going to be a new OST for this season since you brought it up (again, or it was brought up again). I think I can cover "Chiisana Tenohira", haha. :3

@ DA: Yeah, fandoms are good if they don't get outta hand (that's what I think). I have tons, for sure. XP About the OST, hopefully they'll come up with a new, or at least slightly altered OST (not that there's anything wrong with the first ones, of course ^^). Just wanna see what else they can come up with~ And you're kidding me, right? Chiisana Tenohira? Seriously? That song is way high for me. >_< |

I wish I can invert my voice. You ever sing, and then hear your recorded self, and it sounds completely different? That's how my voice is when I sing. I seriously think my inner voice (when I hear myself inside) is better than how it's recorded (or heard from the outside). I've listened to the song quite a few times. I've altered from certain parts, but it's not that bad. I like singing the chorus. I think my soft vibrato is nice, haha, but not as nice as Lia's. Or if you sing different, you can get inspired from Riya's version, which is also nice. I'll try singing it entirely tomorrow to see how I do, haha. Have you tried singing it yet?

@ Raiz-san & Suzaku-san There are over 50+ songs on the CLANNAD OST so there is still alot of songs that have yet to be used, some are only heard in the 'After Story'. If you include all the arrange, image, remix & piano soundtracks there is even more content. All together there is over 100 pieces of music to use which is more than enough. Newest songs are usually just reserved for the opening & endings. Like i said before the playlist on my profile includes every single song for CLANNAD. The first 56 songs or so is from the OST. @ DAngel-san I know what you are saying. I just get a little peeved when someone disses a series without knowing anything about it, whether it be adapted from a manga or visual novel. Has the person actually read the manga or tried the visual novel before making their assumptions...if they have than i have no problem cause everyone has different opinions about a series. If they haven't than it's kinda unfair to judge or criticize it. @ Suzaku-san A good song to try could be either Kage Futatsu or maybe Ana since it's in english. Unfortunately for me my voice is really low so when i try to sing you can't really hear the words. Let's just say i'm not a good singer regardless if i had the voice or not XP. ***************** Watching episode right now, i'll put my thoughts about it in the morning. |

The animation quality? I didn't really see any difference in this episode (as I just saw EP02 now). Currently an arc, so there's gonna be set up episodes for a little bit. I enjoyed watching this episode a lot, mostly because of Sanae's goddess like cuteness and beauty, and also adding in Tomoya's and Nagisa's couple like status while being together. I love their Summer uniform change up. They're really nice and cute, as always for any series really. It's hard seeing Ryou/Kyou not showing signs of affection for Tomoya in this episode, as they had some in the previous season. Same goes for Tomoyo, too. I guess this is just to set up Nagisa and Tomoya? We'll see. Overall, I thought it was a relaxing episode and I always enjoy Sunohara's enthusiasm and spunky energy.

Saw episode two... And I agree, the animation quality is off a little bit, but it's not horrible. Still great. ^^ I have a bad feeling about all this...o_O;; Sunohara + Sanae-san, lol... Her in the school uniform completely shocked me. She looked so different! Anyway, I'm waiting impatiently for the next episode~ I still think that Sunohara+Tomoyo is a good couple. xD Or maybe with Kyou. :3 Mei-chan~~ @ DA: I tried singing it today, it's too high for me. >_< @ Izumo: I think all I'VE girl songs are too high for me. xD;; I have a voice that's considered lower, I guess. Or maybe, I just have a really tiny range. :P |

Yeah, it's hard to adjust if you're not an official singer who has that ability to change pitch when needed. To be honest, I think I only not-struggle on a few parts... like the humming part in the beginning? XD I haven't really sung it out loud yet, just quietly to myself (which is difficult with holding a lighter pitched vocal).

Episode 2.. Is it out already? Guess im a bit lagging behind XDD Anyways,, Today I just DL-ed Clannad audio drama CD,, The one with 5 volume I Think,, Out of 5 volume (Nagisa, Kyou, Kotomi, Fuko and Tomoyo) I Picked Volume 5 to DL first, which is Tomoyo.. Though I Completely dont understand about that.. (Yes, I Cant speak Japanese) I Guessed that it's about Tomoyo's route in the Visual Novel (Since they speak about sakura a lots of time).. Hmmm, Im a bit curious though,, Anyone already listen to it and understand? .-. give me the brief summary of the story please? Rofl,, After listening to The OSTs and some Piano versions, Now I'm officially in love with all of "To the same heights" Arrangements including the Heavy metal from Keeper of the metal key lol,, Kage futatsu is awesome as well,, Especially Lia's Version of it,, Totally awesome... @Izumo Yes, quite a lot indeed,, I just counted there are 70 Albums already there (Including doujin albums, Audio drama and Tomoyo After OSTs) I Wonder if there are more .-. I Totally love the Piano arrangements of The OSTs |

Well finally able to post my thoughts on episode 2. Looks like they are heading towards the 'sibling' arc of the story. Fans of Sunohara & Mei will like these next few episodes cause it will focus on them. In the end Sunohara will gain more fans (not like he has none) but people will see him in a totally new light & not just comedy relief. @ Renma-san I didn't include the music from doujin albums cause the majority of them are just different versions of the music from the OST. I believe there are more than just 70 cause some are very obscure & very difficult to find. |
