Yes. The episode was very heart warming to say the least. The baseball game was very fun to watch and enjoyable as well. A very good cheering squad. Man I wish I were one of their partners!! >_<; Anyways, about this "anything special" thing, does it deal with a character? Starfish?

No not quite. Listen to the song & in particular the music. Use the hint i gave. Toki wo Kizamu Uta & Dango are very similar in a ways.  |

Yes! More Clannad! ^___^ Love the first episode. I think it was a good way to ease us back into the kind of mood it has without really rushing anything. Though I'm really looking forward to when the drama starts up again. I liked the new opening and ending. The opening kind of reminded me of the Air opening, with the whole see through silhouette thing. o.o |

I loved it too! but i don't think that fuko will be in the after story at all, and that's kindof sad because she was my favorite character, and i think that they changed kotomi's voice. over all i liked it!

i think fuko will appear at some point in the anime notic that she does appear in the opening but im not sure that's fuko. Her face isn't shown but i think i saw her ribbon

@ Suzaku-san Welcome back!!! the CLANNAD thread isn't the same without your presence. I hope you will visit occasionally. As for everyone's fave starfish loving freak...she'll appear at a later time in the anime. Remember she is still in a coma in a hospital somewhere. Once Tomoya understands more about the illusionary world & the light orbs she'll have a larger role. Until then she is regulated to a minor role (hence her removal from the character introductions in the opening)...ala appearing out of nowhere & doing something funny. ******************************* Anyways here is what i was trying to point out about the new opening. Listen to this song & than listen to Toki wo Kizamu Uta (new opening) & see if you can hear a similarity. Pay close attention to the chorus. Onaji Takami e (To the Same Heights) Toki wo Kizamu Uta |

@ DA: Lol, thanks. XD @ Izumo: Thanks! Feels nice to be chatting with you guys again. :) And yeah, something seemed familiar about that song. XD I know what now. :P Just finished episode one! Man, I never realized I missed this series so much. I was laughing my head off. XD And this is the full anime episode I've watched in awhile, just shows how awesome Clannad is! ^_~ I love the opening! To be honest, I didn't like season's one OP that much. This one by Lia is just amazing though =3 Somehow it feels funny without the dango song at the end. XD is it just me, or does Kotomi sound different? She still has the same voice actor, but she sounds less shy :P I guess that's good. I loved it when she had to bat. XD I can't believe she calculated all that. And Yukino, LOL. I'm so glad some of the minor characters from season one showed up in episode one, though. Like Mei-chan =3 I miss Fuko though T_T But yes, I did see her back in the OP XD Will be waiting for episode 2~! |

After story is awesome XDD As expected from the series that made us waited for months.. @Suzaku Welcome back XDD Havent seen you for quite a while @Izumo Ah, strange,, The Opening part kinda reminded me of Chiisana te hira somehow .-. or is it just me? But, yeaaaah Chiisana te hira and Dango are similar. Though Dango song is derived from Chiisana te hira, I Think? and some songs as well (Or so I Heard from some random sources) Funny, After watching After story I'm craving for Tomoyo After Manga and Im quite surprised that I Found it.. Anyone read Tomoyo After -Dear shining Memories? I Heard that it's quite similar with the visual novel with some difference.  |

@renma: I read it. of course, the visual novel is more explicit, and i guess like 20 times longer than the manga. i got teary eyed from the manga though ;_; EP2! EP2! EP2! More lulz! XD  |

@ Renma-san Well Dango uses the melody of Chiisana aka. Nagisa as the base for the song. This time they are using Onaji Takami e (To the Same Heights) as the base for the new opening. You can hear it clearly during the chorus when Lia sings 'Kimi dake wo, Kimi dake wo...' As for the manga. It's basically the same story as the visual novel only that the point of view is from Tomoyo. The visual novel uses the POV from Tomoya obviously. Of course the 'adult' content is removed but if i remember is sort of referenced. Like Xiao-san said it is a good read & does have some emotional moments ala. the visual novel. |

@ Dood-san All the music you hear in the anime for both seasons is from the OST of the visual novel. 3 discs of pure glorious music! If you are able to get just one OST this is the one to get!! If you go to my profile i have a playlist that has EVERY song ever made for the series. From the OST, piano collections, remix discs, image tracks, movie OST & other miscellaneous music inspired from the visual novel. Over 130+ songs. |

No wonder I havent listened this one, I only DL-ed the 1st CD... the one with Character songs... btw, Im just here to share a beautiful Re-arrangement performed by TAMusic I Found in youtube ♥ Currently Im addicted to his Violin... I Think this one is from TAMusic Key album, there are some mixed Key album there, like Megumeru, Tori no uta, Final farewell, Aozora, Last Regret.. (Which are awesome songs indeed plus, done by an awesome arranger in scenic -key classical collection album ) Edit: My bad XDD That one was from [TAMusic] Higurashi one.. Straaaaange how some of the musics are mixed inside Higurashi album =/ *Wondering if it's Human error, from the DL-ing place* and oh.. An awesome version of Chiisana te hira in Metal.. Dunno if someone shared this one already or not.. This one is from Keeper of metal key, a heavy metal arranged album for some Key songs (Cover your ears folks, especially if you're listening to it in Full Volume, this is one hell of a metal arrangement) |

gee... Everyone's talking about Clannad After Story. I am yet to watch episode one. My eyes are itching to see Clannad again! I'm still downloading the sub for episode one and I feel really sleepy. guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow. >_> |

XD Wow everyone has been posting a lot of songs from Clannad. xD my personal instrumental favorite would be Hope from Tomoyo After, BGM used for menu. Its a spin off but hey, I like Tomoya, Tomoyo and Tomo together~ <3 Anyways, back on topic. My favorite song from Clannad is still Chiisana Te No Hira Lia version~ Lia, your the best! EP2! EP2! EP2! I cant wait to laugh. XD |

@ Xiao-san WOW!! You like the music 'Hope' as well!!! I love that music!!! The soft intro to the piano beginning. It kinda reuses the same melody but it is a wonderful peice of music by Jun Maeda & Shinji Orito! My 2nd fave track is 'Love Song ~piano ver.~'. Another beautiful song. Of course i can't forget to mention the brilliance of Lia's contribution to the ost (Light Colors & Life is Like a Melody) T___T!!!! < --- tears of joy! As for CLANNAD i don't have a single fave song cause all of them are great. It's one of my most fave OST i have which is why i spent so much time making that playlist on my profile to share the masterpeice in music that the folks at Key have created. @ Renma-san That violin version is pretty good. I've seen alot of renditions of CLANNAD music on youtube & most of them are great. ********************* BTW...i went to animenewsnetwork cause they were doing this FALL review of the anime series. What i found was that most of the reviewers gave CLANNAD a low or average score. I was quite suprised about it...they complained about the 'molasses like' (one reviewer said) pacing, the larger eyes (WHAT?!), the annoyance of the cuteness shown (WTF!!!????)...one reviewer even mentioned 'What was the point of making another series?'....these people have no idea what they are talking about. If you want to read their stuff just visit animenewsnetwork. |
