Saw episode 21 now, this late at night, haha. I still haven't had a chance to see the movie yet, but I might see it tomorrow. I want to wake up in the AM part of the day, maybe around 10AM or so, but doubt it. :O The beginning was awesome indeed. And it lasted for like, two some minutes, too. I think if anyone attempted that, you'd be like Sunohara cause he like, nearly died. I'm surprised Kotomi had a bit of trouble with it being that genius girl or so. The club is coming together nicely and the big day is nearly here for the school festival, although the ending completely changed how it might turn out now. Nagisa finally found out what everyone in the house including Tomoya has been trying to hide from her. The clip of her in the next episode look really sad. I wonder how it'll all go. Sanae-san was cute in this episode. I love the part where she says she's going to try hard and find time to get things done. KAWAII~!! =^-^= Sunohara during rehearsal gets punched from Kyou; I laughed at that part. Yes, the anime is ending. I'm totally in for another season, cause I feel there should be more.

Wow, been a long time here...(no i didn't go missing or lost interest in Clannad, I've been too cooped up with work that I rarely have time to check out the threads I posted in) Anyways, I'm posting this because...well, I just finished watching Clannad Movie...the anime is kinda like a story being told by Tomoya (scenes in the pasts), and tch, I'm having a hard time holding my tears and the ending scene. For the most part at the last few scenes in the movie, I thought that Tomoya will go 'Takayuki Narumi' on me, he looks kinda pathetic but well, I can understand his feelings. The theater part shown will be similar but very different than the tv version, but both have quite the same meaning. Clicky? Kinda had to rush this post, having an early morning tomorrow...(seeing my physiotherapist, specialist doctor and orthopedic surgeon all in the same day, at least I got a paid day off :p) |

Just finished 21~ The beginning was so funny. XD I wonder if those words meant anything. Probably something ridiculous like our tongue twisters. :P And well, they skipped the rehearsal so we'd wait impatiently. >.< I can't believe Nagisa found out about her parents' past. I wonder how it'll turn out... The preview for ep. 22 looked really depressing. I've never seen Nagisa so down before. The end is near. ;O; But I'm pretty sure there will be a second season. KyoAni has a great reputation of not disappointing, after all. :) Btw, about the episode 24 that's a special only on DVD...will they not release it then? Cause I wanna watch it. =/ |

Actually I've seen fansubs release stuff you can find on DVDs. So for now, I wouldn't throw away any type of hope. :3

Well, that's nice to know. I'm watching the CLANNAD movie right now, and it's really different... Nagisa's personality surprised me a lot. o_O And it's hard getting used to Tomoya's new voice, as well as the animation. >.< Personally, I like the series' animation, and cast better. :P Still gonna watch it though. EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to say... Some parts of the movie seems so cliche-ish. =o Esp. with all the sakura petals and birds flying everywhere. xPP |

I'm stil gonna say we still got ripped. Clannad was supost to be a 24 episode series but they made it 22 T__T im sad yet happy that they knew or got to their senses and made sure the series wouldn't drag out and become overly belated and etc.  |

@ GMSniper-san Although i agree with you that it is unfortunate that the series is cut short but there are 24 episodes if you add the special 23 as well as the OVA release which is actually 24. Altogether is is 24 episodes...but like i said way back in this thread, CLANNAD has such a huge story it would be a shock if KyotoAni did fit all that into 24 episodes. When i finally realized that they were actually animating the first half of the game than it became clear to me what they were doing with the series. For that i'm relieved they didn't cram everything. So now we just have to wait until KyotoAni decides when to finish the story. i'm one of the fortunate to already know what will happen in the anime but still it would be great to see it animated. @ Suzaku-san Other than Tomoya all the other character voices are the same as the TV series. It took some time to get use to the movie seiyuu for Tomoya but in the end i think he did a good job on it. As for your take on the animation & the over-use of sakura petals...to a degree yes they did go overboard with the visuals but it didn't distract me to much.  @ Kay-san I agree with you that Tomoya kinda resembles Takyuki from Kiminozo..when he sulks after losing something very dear to them. Also i agree that the end scene when he finally meets Ushio was very beautiful...Ushio is very cute!!! The only thing they didn't show was that there are alot of stuff that happens after Tomoya & Ushio finally meet...many of them not so good. The TV series (when the 'After Sory' is animated) will have similar moments from the movie (Nagisa's play will be one of them...next episode in fact) up to a certain point...when ***** passes away. If they intend to give us the TRUE ending than the light orbs, the other world will play vital roles in that. ******************************************************* The next episode will probably feature another insert song, if you've seen the title of the episode than you already know which song it is. So get ready to request it...i'll be ready to upload it :) I have the urge to reveal everything but i'll try to hold that in....if i blurt out something that may cause spoilers i apologize for it. Just ignore it :P  |

@ Izumo: yeah~ I noticed that. I wonder why only his voice actor was different. =/ Personally, I like Tomoya in the series better. xD And Nagisa is sooooooo different. o___O What happened to the shy and innocent her? xDDD I'm really glad that they didn't decide to cram everything either. =] Hopefully they'll animate the rest after SHnY II and such. I really can't wait to see the next episode. >.< |

Well the 'unofficial' final episode is upon us & believe me it doesn't disappoint. The whole episode was something to behold....if you like a very sweet, emotional, feel good episode than this is the one for you. Not everything is tied up but there are hints given that will give you an idea of what to expect. The play Nagisa performs is very 'key' < ---ha pretty clever ^__^! listen to what she says...if you are sharp you'll remember these are the exact words she says to Tomoya in episode 1. Also another line is said by the robot from the illusionary world. Nagisa's dad saves the day when all seemed impossible...the words he said to Nagisa gave me chills. A beautiful moment in a beautiful anime series. A warning for those who see the very last scene in the episode.....have some tissues ready & be ready to feel really good inside. The 2 faces of these characters will be etched in your head for a long time. A touching ending to the first half of the anime (hopefully there will be more to come in the near future)....As predicted the song 'Kage Futatsu' is featured in the episode...when it begins to play..don't tell me you didn't feel anything inside. Another moment in the episode that gave me chills. The song has so many meanings for the series & is perfect for this episode. The preview of the 'special' episode was interesting....Mei is back!!!! Coming from someone who has played the game & know the story at heart. I'm content with what KyotoAni has done with the series. I would have loved if they actually finished the series in one go even if they do have to add extra episodes for that. However it seemes we have to wait for another season which will probably take some time before it airs. |

I've finally watched episode 22, dang, it gives me this feeling of the perfect ending...now I'm just wondering what's that insert song at the last leg of the episode cause the credits at the end didn't show its title... Anyways, I'm looking forward to the extra episode^^ |

omg! I only found out that the makers of CLANNAD = makers of AIR. and that was AFTER I watched the entire series. O.o` No wonder it reminded me sooo much of AIR! >.< I loved the ending by the way. so very.. yummy ^^; I shall watch the movie in a while. ;3~ great graphics. ♥ way delicious.=P~ //I love the genius girl. so keyoot ^o^    m y . i havent seen the anime the pics OMG'S!!!!!!!!!!! but KyotoAni and Key Visual/Arts are getting now interesting no highly appreciated by the people the characters was very touching a typical..... no a similar events in our life... in school family friends enemies [hehehe] love ones.. a very nice and highly mastered a great recommended anime series  --> |

I just finished ep. 22~ the ending gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. It was so beautiful I actually started crying. >< I love this series so much. :3 And yes...how Akio-san shows up when Nagisa broke down was completely unexpected, and the things he said were very touching. The insert song is so beautiful! So that's what that track was called...I have the 3 OSTs, and Kage Futatsu was one of the tracks. Except, it was unlabeled at the time. :P Ah well, now I know what it's called. I can't wait for the 2 OVAs. :3 |

I was wondering why on ep 21 it said the 22 was going to be the final one... I guess it makes sense now. And yes, Ou-san's (XD)words were touching, one could almost feel every word, I really like all what he said. Right now I can honestly say that I'm not used to watch Anime like this, full of drama and such a touching story, but Clannad is something special, totally!. BTW, I'm about to watch the movie, just finished downloading it, the graphics are different from the series, I like the series more, but let's watch it hahaha.   |

Suiseiseki switched places with Kyou you gotta forgive the weird timing and lags and stuff...but hey, it's kinda cool^^ you know what...every good anime will have this AMV for sure! |

@ Kay-san Man that Saori Sakura song is a tad being overused...sure it is a catchy song but still, eventually everything is going to have that song in it :P The first vid though, that is some mighty fine editing skill to pull of something like that. Whoever did it must have ALOT of time on his/her hands... @ ingenious-san Well you can always use bittorent to download the series, if you don't have that you can always get the series here at gendou-san's affiliate site run by Sheep-san & company. A few (well there's probably more than that) people do that, must wait your turn though if the slots are filled up. Like they always say 'Patience is a virtue'. @ Suzaku-san Only the 'last' episode is an OVA. Episode 23 will air the usual time & will be available for download as usual. Technically it isn't an episode, more like an omake episode which will have nothing to do with the regular story. i'm eager to see if it will be related to the game in any way. After this 'episode' were gonna have to wait until May/June or so until the last DVD come out to see episode 24. Right now they are only at DVD 5 & since the series is a 24 episode series there are usually 8 DVDs released. So yeah, time for a CLANNAD hangover until then *grrr....* @ Ich-san I'm glad to hear that! Since the release of CLANNAD there have been many new fans to the series. Those who haven't even played the game before is now finding out why this series is so good & want to play the game because of it. However the series is far from being over. There is still more story to see & tell...more laughter, more heartache, more pure raw emotion that equals or surpasses anything that KEY has done up to date. We all know how great AIR & KANON were...well for me personally CLANNAD tops them both. Taking nothing away from AIR or KANON, both are memorable series that shouldn't be missed but something about CLANNAD is special in every way. It strikes you emotionally, dealling with the one thing that one should always believe in...FAMILY. You can forget about love, or money or your job one day...but you'll always remember your family. No matter how much you may despise them, deep inside you will always love them. Isn't that right? So be prepared the next time CLANNAD is back on the air (for the conclusion of the series), it'll be a rollercoaster ride you won't soon forget. |
