I saw episode 16 recently...again i have my issues with the overall approach to the series. First of all the episode itself is really good...it is one of those feel good episodes that makes you smile at the end of it and gives you a nice fuzzy feeling inside. Remember what Tomoya told Mei in the previous episode....that was freakin' awesome....made me laugh really hard when she took it out & Sunohara was like WTH!!!! Priceless! Mei's overall precense was lacking though which i will point out in my rant later on. There are some tender moments & some really funny moments especially involving Sunohara (NOTE:Sausage Wiener!!!!!!).....this was a good episode & i enjoyed it alot. However while watching it...it made me wonder again about the appoach to the series. For some reason the game's version of this part of the series felt longer & more fullfilling.  I guess you have to play the game to understand where i'm going with this. Mei was barely shown in the anime while in the game she played a big part in Sunohara's scenario. Again it feels really compressed & it is starting to feel unfulling....not what i was hoping for. I still absolutely LOVE the anime but i was hoping for so much more....maybe my expectations for the series when it first began was too high.The preview for the next episode looks interesting.....someone seems to be missing in it....are they at that time already?.....now that is really feeling...*sigh* *Note* about the glowing orbs during the episode title...in the game you don't see them until after you finish a particular scenario. Since the anime can't do that i guess they are showing the orbs for the scenarios they are already showing or solving. Which probably explains why there are so many of them already.  |

I'm dLing the episode right now... And about the game being more fulfilling...I don't think the series will turn into a failure even if it's not as detailed as the game, but i really do hope they expand it to at least 30 - 35 episodes for everyone's scenario >.< I don't want it to disappoint!! EDIT: Just finished it up here... And I have to say, I was quite disappointed in the basketball game...I mean, I know it's not a sports anime but being a basketball lover I wanted more xDDD And the ending shot by Tomoya was REALLY predictable, but oh well. :P Anyways, about Mei...Sunohara's lucky to have such a cute sister X3 She'll come back later in the series right? Cause Sunohara's arc isn't over o_O I hope. Oh yeah, Tomoyo's role was kinda funny in here xDD Love her!!! "Do you have someone you're dating?" ~lmao...everyone's asking Tomoya that, and he has no idea xD I loved it when Kyou dragged him out for lunch with her and Ryou...though Ryou is being too obvious with her feelings by blushing and turning away like that xD Tomoya's expression was priceless after he saw that <3 Haha, great episode, as always...I wouldn't know if it's rushed or not though, not having played the game xP And the preview for episode 17...looks really sad to me. I feel, with the last 8 episodes (if they're still only making it 24 episodes long), they're gonna be pretty tear-jerking...>.< EDIT 2: Actually, scratch the not knowing if it's rushed or not...I know it is now, for real...they haven't finished Sunohara's arc (i think), and they haven't even begun the twins and Tomoyo's...and they're already at Nagisa's...?! Gee...looks like they really might end it at 24 episodes :( Hopefully they'll add an OVA afterwards, or a remake or something... |

just finish d/l epsd 16. hmm the forth orb appear but i still quite don't get the purpose of these orb rofl i laughed so hard when mei took out the clay statue! Kyou is so cute when she blush, she's kinda one of my favorite now can't wait for Tomoyo's arc, i love her personality so far

@ Rai: I guess the orb was supposed to be showing the amount of arcs they've finished with, but they can't finish all the stories now so they're adding the ones that they're going to talk about, I guess. the first time we've seen Kyou blush! really cute ;D Tomoyo...I don't think they'll get to it =/ Cause looks like Nagisa is up next, judging from the preview...and you know what that means >.< |

Which probably explains why there are so many of them already.*" Not really a big deal but it sort of is causing some confusion for those who have played the game i guess. ***************************************************** Only 8 more supposed episodes to show: *Some spoilers but nothing that will ruin your watch* - some of the sisters arc....of course not their endings but their involvement with Tomoya...pretty obvious if you haven't figured them out yet. - Tomoyo's wish/desire to be on the student council...maybe even president....& her dedication to her little brother (hint shown in the Opening credits). - the theatre clubs reopening with ****** putting on a performance...(may still happen) - maybe some elements for Yukine (tea girl) cause she has a scenario in the game...she was suppose to be one of the main heroines but her story was to short to be included so it was made a side-story. - and of course Nagisa......and all her trials & tribulations &......well....T___T! So yeah.....i don't think they will include all of these points in the remaining episodes...if they did than my worst fear will be a reality. The compressed style & 'rushed' ending.....that will leave experience players like myself unsatisfied....maybe even for those who haven't played the game will feel unsatisfied as well. |

im aware of that but what confuse me are, why there are 4 orbs already; 1 for fuko, 1 for kotomi, 1 for sunohara, and is the first orb represent introduction scenario? well i guess i think too far clannad getting scary eh.... well if they messed up this one i hope they fix it with long OVA xD

@ Raiz-san What i think the extra orbs may be. You already mentioned Fuko & Kotomi. The others possibly may be of a couple things. They could be either ongoing scenarios for Tomoyo, the sisters, &/or Nagisa. Tomoyo & the sisters are the focal points in the next episode which i will say what i think about it later. Sunohara i don't think they (Kyoto) really dived into fully....there are points that are shown (ie:Mei & the basketball match)...but for the most part alot was left out. It seemed longer in the game & Mei had a larger role. I figure they (Kyoto) are mainly focused on the heroines of the story. **************************************** Episode 17 thoughts & points of interest. Fans of the sisters & Tomoyo will find this episode enjoyable. They are the main points of interest cause Nagisa will be MIA for awhile. This episode & judging by the preview these characters will take center stage for at least 2 episode. Anyways while watching it was over before i knew it....to me personally even though i liked the episode it again felt compressed. It jumped around alot from Tomoyo to the sisters to Tomoyo back to the sisters...etc. I would like to have seen them focus on one scenario like they did for Fuko & Kotomi but i understand that diving into them fully will alter the eventual ending. In the game these character if you explore there stories to the fullest you get there endings. While with Fuko & Kotomi you can get the majority of their stories without deviating from Nagisa's. Tomoyo & the sisters you can't without ending up with them. So yeah i get why they are left for the very end. There are some cute moments in the episode...the scene with Tomoya & Kyou in the gym storage room was especially delightful. It was really nice to see Kyou so flustered during the situation. The past few episode you get to see her softer side other than the tough as nails gal you saw earlier. Remember what i mentioned way back in this thread about Tomoyo? Here they are showing some more of her personality. Love her always calm demenour to things around her. Her past is hinted here as well....& what Tomoya did in this episode happens in the game as well. Like i said the next few episodes will be quite interesting....& i'm interested in where they go from here. Not many episodes left after this. Like i said Nagisa will be MIA for awhile so it looks like it is almost that time....my advice...GET READY & BE PREPARED FOR WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE. ********************EDIT******************* I added some more songs to the playlist at the first page of this thread. Mostly the character theme music from Kyou, Kotomi, Tomoyo & Yukine. I named name so you can know which is which. Also added is the remixed version of "Advances Together" played during the basketball game in episode 16. Enjoy! |

next epsd gonna be Tomoyo's arc! yay! They ran 2 arc at the same time in epsd 17 but that doesn't bother me at all though. someone earlier mention tomoyo and sunohara is a good match, lol they really the best comedy pair in this series

@ Raikozen: I mentioned that Tomoyo and Sunohara would be a good match. :P And it is totally true. XD @ DA: Watch...them...+_+ Watching Episode 17 right now!! Nagisa got sick again. =/ And I guess they're using this episode to combine Tomoyo and the twins... I love Tomoyo even more now! She's so weird, but in a good way. I can't believe she actually went to Tomoya's house to wake him up. The way she talks is so innocent, like "why aren't you going to get a girlfriend?" XD And Tomoya's reply was SO funny it made me laugh..."I'm not getting any girls", LOL. NOT TRUE. =P Seeing Tomoyo and Sunohara together makes me believe that they'll be a great match for each other even more. =P Although, it was painful to see that expression on Tomoyo's face after she realized that they knew about her past...I can't wait until that's shown later on! I've always wondered when in the world Tomoyo considered Tomoya her friend. XD I guess it just happened. o_O Darn, I can't even decide who's my second favorite anymore...Fuko will always be number one, but now I can't choose between Kotomi and Tomoyo as my second fav. >.< They're all so cute in their own way~ =3 Tomoyo's really amusing to watch. XDD That one scene where Tomoyo and Tomoya go to wake up Sunohara, was funny!! "On a closer look, you have a pretty good body shape..." XD "He's the type that'll never get a leading role." ~Tomoya --> LOL. Tomoya seems so out of it in romance...I just don't believe that he's oblivious to all the girls around him who like him. D:< Well, at least he feels lonely without Nagisa. Oh yeah, and surprisingly, Kyou's a good cook. :D OMGOMGOMG HAHA, i'm at the gym storage scene right now, and I'm laughing my butt off. XD I haven't laughed this hard in Clannad before!! LMAO...Tomoya really IS clueless. XD And yay! Fuko appeared X33 Sooooo cuuuuute!! <333 And at the end where Tomoya stood up for Tomoyo...I think it was half for Tomoyo and half for Nagisa...but yeah. xP Just though i'd share. Man, sorry for the long post O_O I was just commenting on everything I saw, basically, as I watched....so yeah. .__. Sorry!! EDIT: Oh yeah, I just remembered, about that gym scene...you know when Kyou fell? I thought Tomoya would try to catch her and land up on top of her. xDDD |

Watching the basketball episode again i noticed something a little weird....i missed it the first time but i found this very odd. The scene i'm referring to is when the actual basketball team were making their comeback. They were making the baskets & the scores were being flipped. I noticed that the guy doing the  flipping turned the score from 10 to 20 just like that, even though i heard only one basket being made. Hard to explain but keep an eye on the guy flipping the scores.....when you watch it again. |

@izumo-san: that one prolly from 18 to 20 but they flip the last digit first from 8 to 0 then the first digit from 1 to 2 but they only show the first digit being flipped

If you guys need to know about the point system of basketball, I could explain that part of the episode. There wasn't any cheating or anything, but the points, as the baskets were being made, were correct throughout the entire game. The game was pretty dramatic, and that final game winning shot with the silent buzzard was pretty impressive. I thought it would've came out since it was really above the box but it got a lucky bounce I guess. Now, Sunohara's arc is over from this episode (16), right? We see more Tomoyo in the episode as well, and that encounter with Kyou in the classroom during lunch break was getting intense... on Kyou's side. Tomoyo was unaware why she was getting so fired up for, but we can tell why. Tomoya is pretty oblivious to see what is really going on around him, but then again you can't really blame him for that type of thing. Lots of funny moments with Sunohara in this scene that'll make you laugh ten times over. Mei left home, which was sad but I can't wait to see her again if possible. Kyou sure got game; damn she looks good. The one scene where Mei came home to Nagisa's house was a really funny moment with her family. Pass the part where Mei thought Sanae-san was Nagisa's sister, the "bottom" part with Akio-san and Nagisa was really histarical. Then Nagisa calls him a pervert after her mom told her there's nothing on her bottom to begin with. The romantic look after Tomoya made the game winning shot during the basketball game was something to see as well. It was like they were already lovers or something. Nagisa is still mah #1. She can actually get cuter and cuter each episode! =>.<= Now, gonna watch episode 17 here. [edit] Finished episode 17 now and another brain teaser of an ending. Meaning it makes me want to see the next episode even more. Anyways, I feel bad for Kyou for sacrificing herself for her younger sister to try to get with Tomoya but nothing seems to escalate at all between them. They're good friends, but I think it hurts Kyou a lot interally and mentally. We don't see her suffering yet cause when she was with Tomoya in the storage room, she felt rejoiced. Speaking of that scene, I was really into Kyou at that moment. Man was she really picking at mah brain, and she said boys think of that stuff all the time? Tomoya had a total difference plan to get out while Kyou wanted some. Why can't I be in that storage room cause refusal was nonexistent!! T-T` I wonder if you can balance two coins on top of each other like that. Maybe I'll try it out sometime in school after lunch when I get some change. More into Tomoyo's arc, why can't I be the one to get waked up by a girl like her~~!?!?!?!!?!!??? SO UNFAIR! The fight scene in the end was pretty gruesome for Sunohara. After those x number of kicks to I think his 'youknowwhat', he gets a huge kick that sends him flying pass the sun. The PV with Tomoyo seems odd to me cause Tomoyo changes school or something. Was it why she moved to the current High School she's in or is she moving out of the High School she's currently in. I don't want her to leave cause she's just starting to get into Tomoya and she's one of my favorite girls (Nagisa, Kyou). Speaking of Nagisa, not much of her since she got sick in the beginning of the episode and was taken home. After a few seconds of airtime, it was about everyone else.
