@ Kay-san Nice to have you back! Yes i have heard Megumero as well....i believe it is a bonus song & not really incorporated in the movie...i could be wrong. I haven't seen it yet. I have to wait until March for my DVD copy. I do know Yakusoku by Lia is an insert song. @ Suzaku-san Mei is the one in the 'other character' montage..she's seen putting her hand to her face ala in 'good grief' kind of reaction. I believe it is after the glimpse of Yukine. @ Satuross-san No worries....those are your opinions. Remember though that CLANNAD is incomplete & we have barely cracked the surface of the story. Hopefully by the end you'll grow more fond of it. I can't argue that both AIR & KANON are memorable series in their own right. For me you can go no wrong with any of them. I like them all but for me CLANNAD is the one i'll always remember by heart...cause the game was THAT good!!! *********** EDIT *********************** I posted this in the 'You draw thread' but since it fits with this as well i might as well add it. It is one of the projects i'm working on, as you can see it is unfinished but i'll give you an idea of the concept. It's a pic of Fuko & Nagisa drawn off the top of my head...although Fuko came out pretty good...Nagisa i may have to eventually use a reference pic to fix her likeness. Her hair don't seem right. @ Satuross: Thanks for sharing your opinion ^^ But I agree with Izumo, CLANNAD is definitely the fav out of those three for me. <3 @ Izumo: Already commented in the other thread, but I have to say again...Fuko is so adorable >.< Hope we get to see the finished product soon!!! |

Geez, finally i can catch up to 12... Thank you crappy internet... -_- Hmmm, as expected from Key, another weird girl on the show, Kotomi... Dunno if i have to call her cute or something else, but oblivious girl like that could make me laugh in a way, so it's okay. Plus with her around, i see more Kyou, and it's awesome XD And what kind of violin killer technique is that, she's awesome! I'm glad i finished Kanon 2006 before watching ep 12, because a certain giant ant eater stuffed doll is making an appearance there... X3 A plus point for the episode. Then not long after that i was forced not to blink for about 15 seconds because Fuuko's appearance is way unexpected... Izumo, did she really reappear that way in the game?? O.o Anyway, since everyone's bringing it up, Chiisana Tenohira is one awesome song... Maybe i liked it because i heard dango daikazoku before this, but it's still awesome :D it'd be sweet if they use this as the ending song for the last episode... Hmmm now let's check out Lia's version... |

@ DAngel-san I answered your question in the 'you draw' thread...but in case you didn't see. I probably outline it in black ink & shade it like i usually do with most of my pics. I suck at coloring...maybe someone if they wan can color it if they feel like it. @ Sai-san That's a good question....do you know what i don't really remember...i should but i can't recall it. It may have...i may have to load up a save & try to find out...*DOH!*....sorry my minds a blank right now. You can check out Lia-san's version on the imeem playlist i have posted on the first page. Unlike other versions to me this one resembles Dango maybe cause of the music. Of course Lia-san does a beautiful job on it like she does on all her songs! ********************************************* EDIT After a brief hiatus CLANNAD is back!!! Some sypnosis on episode 13. - some insight into Kotomi's past...very sad. *i can't imagine the emotional trauma a little girl has to go through after hearing the news of her parents death. i had to go through a divorce when i was young but nothing to this extent...though i do get the feeling of what Kotomi went through.* - Tomoya doing everything he can to at least help Kotomi...for that he is one of the more lovable main characters. He has a good heart. - remember the briefcase Kotomi's parents had with them? keep it in mind cause it may or may not have a big role in Kotomi's story. Mainly what was inside it? - now do you know why her violin playing is terrible? - one of these episodes you wanna jump right into it & do everything YOU can to help as well! |

Finally, it's back! yay! I just finished episode 13... It was so sad, as always...I can't believe Kotomi has such a terrible past. >.< Tomoya is SO sweet. He's doing everything he can think of to help Kotomi...I wish a guy would do that for me. =3 *fangirl moment* I wonder what was the important paper. Something about a discovery i guess. And I think I have a big soft spot for cute things, cause I nearly fell over when I saw Kotomi and Tomoya when they were little...they are SO CUTE (esp. Tomoya XD or maybe that's just me)!!!!!! I love them both even more now. XD I can't wait for the next episode! >_< EDIT: I have decided to spread the cuteness around~ here are some random screenshots XD Sorry for the blurriness. Holy mother of God! I have the episode (I dl it last friday... gracias Nekotachi!!! wheee) but I haven't been able to see it. What a shame, I desperately will watch it tonight! I can't wait, as well as Shana, lol... at this rate I think I'll soon do another anime marathon XDDD. ^^ someone's excited about it... lol   |

heck now i really curious about how kyoani gonna fit kyou, tomoyo, and nagisa's arc within 12 epsd and izumo-san also mention kotomi's arc is the shortest one and yet it took 5 epsd already (assuming the next one is last for kotomi) i just hope they won't rush the ending like myself yourself

I saw episode 13 just now and it was a pretty passionate-for-friendship episode. You gotta love Tomoya for doing what he's doing, or at least respect him for it. I wonder if School Life in Japan is like this. Making new friends simply by introducing yourself, participating in clubs, hanging out with cute girls? Anyways, I wonder how Kotomi managed to live by herself for such a long time. Loosing your parents on your birthday is incredibly hard to bear. Not only that, saying you hate them as your last words to them might be even harder... I really hope nothing bad happens to her. I don't want her to go to America! XD The next episode seems like another tear jerker... Kotomi even had a bit of trouble narrating it, as if she was crying already. Harem anime really get you. Ashame how people don't watch such titles because it's from visual novels. /shakeshead~~

Well after seeing episode 14 (You are right Raiz-san about the episode)...i kinda expected it. Though i do have a few gripes about it which i will discuss in due time. The emotional aspect of the episode is as usual very high especially the one scene with Tomoya & Kotomi (in her gothic lolita outfit...KAWAIII!!!!)...the older versions of them near the end. The music & the conversation between them brought a tear to my eyes....the first time that has happened while watching the series. With Fuko i only got choked up. This time i actually teared up...or was it that there was something in my eyes...*sniff*...that must be it. Remember the suitcase...it shows up again....this time the point of it will be shown...a hint about it....a specific date is important. The fire & that scene in an earlier episode is revealed. Overall it was a good episode....now.... The things about it i didn't like.... First of all i did say that Kotomi's arc was the shortest but only being about 4 episodes in length made it seem too compressed. I know tha Kyoto is trying to fit it all in 24 episodes but this is the time i would like it to expand that to at least in the 30s. Kotomi's arc felt rushed to me & not all the things about it were shown. True not all of them were vital to the story arc but would have been nice to see it. For those who have played the game will know what i'm talking about. Don't get me wrong i still enjoyed the episode but to me it wasn't as good as it could've been. Adding a insert song like they did with Fuko would have been a nice bonus...& we didn't get to hear how Kotomi REALLY plays the violin....maybe that will be shown in due time. Judging by the preview it looks like Sunohara is up next.....so we may see his sister Mei very soon. Also Tomoyo will probably have a bigger role than she has up to this point. Still my worst fear about this is creeping up....if the story is going to be compressed due to the lack of episodes....i had my doubts if Kyoto could fit all of the characters stories...& after seeing Kotomi's arc those doubts are gettting stronger. |

just finish watching epsd 14. I guess in the end i have to get the game and play it. It's quite good ending but not as good as Fuko's, honestly i expect more from Kotomi's ending one thing i don't really get; why there are 3 light orbs, isn't the orb suppose to appear after one arc finish? 2 orb should represent Fuko and Kotomi and what's the last one do?

I'm dLing ep. 14 right now...can't wait to see it... @ Izumo: ;____; it sounds depressing. I bet I'll go through an entire box of tissues this time...XD Kotomi in gothic lolita? lol! i gotta see that!!! Hmmm....sad scene at end....must see must see. @_@ I hope they expand it, cause i want the makers to include everyone's arc in full detail...and Kotomi's story does seem really short, and i want to see more of it...oh well. Sunohara, huh? I can't imagine what past he would have. Can't wait to meet her sister :) and we get to see Tomoyo again soon! Hopefully, they expand it, cause otherwise Clannad will come to a slight failure as not including every detail XD sorta. I'll still love it though <3333 |

I finished episode 14 just now, and it was pretty sad although I wished I would've shed some tears. The past of Kotomi's parents was misunderstood from Kotmomi for all these years. Finally that strange guy with the trench coat and hat finally explained to her, and with the suitcase... That suitcase really traveled the deepest peaks, highest points, all over the world. I can imagine how receiving something like would feel like in reality. It's truly remarkable in my opinion. When Kotomi finally came out to greet Tomoya, I think she was wearing the same dress from childhood. That Gothic Lolita dress was friggin' cute as hell. She looked beautiful in it (that was something that made me cry almost). And yes, that scene with her and Tomoya was really tear jerking. The first time they met, this exact scene was nearly a replica of it, but years later. I truly adored episode 14, and it seems Kotomi (on my charts) is currently in the lead. She's truly a girl who has no flaws, and I really love everything about her. I guess her arc is ending soon, but she's probably already added in my "I love..." list (Chidori Kaname, Suzumiya Haruhi, etc.). Sunohara having his own arc seems funny for some reason. If you look at what he's done in the anime already besides the nice stuff, he's some nut head and he's really funny. For some reason, there's more sad moments in this episode, from what I saw in the preview so I gotta watch out for that as well. I agree with the compression thing and the arcs here with you guys. I want this series to be longer as well, but the huge hype with Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu Second is vastly approaching. Kyoto's not one to be messing up huge titles, since all their releases in their career have been superb. I just hope in the end, nothing gets ruined or "remade", or "redone", or worst... "rescheduled." There's more arcs to come, and I want to know about everyone. Although that might make choosing a single girl, a lot harder. All of them are great really. You gotta love Harem anime. FAVORITE.

Yeah....their meeting was exactly the same as when they very first met...although Kotomi wasn't playing her violin. I first saw that scene in the RAW version...i picked up some the conversation but didn't know exactly what they were saying to each other. The fansub version wasn't as sad as i thought it was...i guess the RAW version had a deeper feeling to it for me anyway. The music in the background really worked for me while watching that scene. All this time Kotomi thought her parents abandoned her when it was near her birthday (they left before that day)...they never forgot about her & loved her always. The bear & letter siginified that. *note* Remember when Kotomi met Tomoyo in the bear costume? Now you know why Kotomi was so fond of it & reacted the way she did. Some things that i would've liked them to have added was the very end. They implied it but never showed it. The very end had Kotomi playing her new violin & how she really plays it to everyone during the recital 2. YOu could hear how she played when she first met Tomoya. So now 12 more episodes to show Sunohara's, Tomoyo's, the sisters & Nagisa's stories....so 4 episodes each...that for me is just not right. That's not even including Tomoya himself.... I have a feeling that they'll end it abruptly (i get the feeling i know how they will do it)...& maybe make an OVA to finish the series off. Or they can just add a few more episodes. I understand all the hype with Suzumiya 2....but i feel a series that i'm very fond of may be ruined with scheduling conflicts & whatnot. If anyone can make things go smoothly it is Kyoto...however like i said i'm beginning to have my doubts. |

If they make an OVA series to finish the other characters' arcs, they might as well add more episodes. That to me is how everything would "fit together", y'know? I saw how Kotomi played the violin when she was a kid. She was quite good, or better than the later years in life. This almost reminds me of Nanaka from Myself; Yourself, doesn't it? There's the fire, although Kotomi didn't jump out of her room's window, there's the violin, etc. Maybe it's just me who sees a bit of that, or something... =^-^=

I mentioned this before the OVA could be made for the 'After Story' dealing with Ushio & how she fits into all of this. I agree though that more episodes i feel are needed to properly fit everyone into the story. Besides they haven't  even remotely dived into the 'other world' yet. That is one of the most important parts of the story especially dealing with Tomoya & how he fits into that world. Tomoya's father should have more of a part since he is so very important into that as well.Thinking about it even more is beginning to frustrate me how this is gonna end up...i'm getting this VERY BAD feeling that how this is gonna end up. Not story wise (cause i already know about that) but overall execution of the remaining episodes. |

Yeah, I can understand how you feel. Knowing what needs to be explained, yet maybe not enough time or episodes to explain it all... I've been down that path several times before. So, is Tomoya's mother involved in the series at all? I might've missed anything about her being said in the anime thus far already or something. I'm curious to see why his father is, well... like he is currently in the Tomoya household. I wonder how they manage to get by since his father just drinks and doesn't work anymore, right?
