No...but some are good...like GTO. But still I don't really like the idea of turning anime into live-action. |

Haha..but its gonna be a little wierd. I'd just wanna n\have it as same old anime. Because it will not have the same feel as what you will expect for a life action anime.

Re: Is it better when anime turns into live action?

| for me, i think there are more bad live actions than good ones, jigoku shoujo for instance was just awful. but it all depends and if you watch nodame cantabile, you'll realize it. it's one of the series that the live action is much much better than the anime. after watching it i didn't even want to continue the anime anymore except the anime ends at a later period than where the l-a stopped. |

are you kidding?? it worst, some of the char are bad, for example negima live action, where's the 15 years old girl, they all like middle age woman, oh please they're the worst, don't turn good anime to live action. if you want live action, just make one don't base on anime (i watch GTO too, well this one was ok since high school student been perform by actress with similiar age, so it's jsut right, and in GTO it's already base on real live proporsion of the body and the story, so we don't see much of a different except appearence)

It really depends on the anime they're basing from. Negima live action version is being aired now in Japan and as we all know, there are a lot of pretty girls in that anime. The live action introduces gorgeous girls, and that in itself is an entertainment already ^_^ |

Not all are horrible though. Although i get very dissapointed when the actor playing my fav bishounen isn't that good looking. ToT Demo some anime that has been made into real live action movies are interesting to watch, like = NANA = Kamikaze Girls (very funny) = Gokusen (kame and jin are in it. XD) = Tenipuri (but fuji doesn't smile T-T) = Death note (L is the best) = Jigoku Shoujo (the effects aren't that bad but enma ai looks kinda old) |

Anime into live action? I've seen GTO live action. it's ok and funny just like the anime version, but i agree that it feels kinda weird at first since i was already used to seeing the anime characters instead of real people. However, I didn't like other live action series, particularly Death Note. Yeah, Ryuk's animation in it was not bad, but Light Yagami just didn't seem to fit the role well enough to be convincing as a cold and calculating character. The anime version is way better. Overall, it depends on the actor/actress playing the part of the anime character. But more often than not, they don't capture the real essence of the original characters. |

Wow, live action? And with anime? For some anime, absolutely not, for some, I'd like to see them try. Death Note was really good. I particularly think for the role of L that the actor behind that mastermind did very well. But some anime were meant to stay animated. Ohh, and Bleach or Naruto live action? No, just no, they're really awesome, and I'd hate to see Ichigo or Naruto's character ruined (especially because of their hair colors). Poor anime. |

I think it really depends on the acting if a live action is better than the anime ^^" Mostly I love both but sometimes things just don't turn out as I think they would be from anime to live action.. Anyways here my opinion of a few: I really liked the live action of nana x3 Great acting of both Nana's (sorry dunno actress names anymore >.<" ) here x3 But the live action of Peach Girl was quite a dissapointment! >.<" Not only the actors, but more the acting they preformed ^^" And the live action of Lovely Complex is great too x3 And Teppei Koike was the perfect actor to be Otani x3! |

I think this may be a question of whether or not you like J-drama in the first place. J-drama (especially comedy) has a unique style, much of it has to do with how much you know about Japanese pop culture in order to appreciate/enjoy the show. Honestly, most adaptations from anime/manga into live action tank, just because it's so hard to adapt the original feeling/intent of the director from the anime, into real people. The studio that picks up the show also plays an important role in success of the adaptation. If they have the financial backing to hold unlimited castings (and if they're able to procure suitable actors), and if the CGI division pulls through, a select few have proved popular in Japan. Although we may not like some adaptations, the producers of course are aiming for the Japanese (and sometimes east asian in general) audiences. If I'm not mistaken regarding the Tenipuri Live Action Movie, it enjoyed a relatively large popularity in the region (I was in Shanghai at the time, and there were positive reviews in the otaku magazines about the movie). I would agree that if live action were released in the US, a large portion (if not all) would PHAIL simply because it's a gap in cultures that hinders Americans from enjoying the shows. However, considering the ratings and reviews of certain shows in Japan, the live action is better simply because the popularity of the actors (possibly idols) allows the shows to be accessible to a wider range of audience. Anime is regarded as "ota" in Japan... IMO, from what I've seen: (+) -Nodame Cantabile -Hanazakari no kimitachi e -NANA movie 1 -Hana Yori Dango 1&2 in between -Tenipuri movie -Death Note movies -Hachimitsu to kuroba movie (Honey&Clover) (-) -NANA movie 2 -Yukan Club -Detective Conan SP (the new one is coming out soon... only watched first one for Oguri Shun xD) -Negima |

No no no!! Live action kills the anime and/or manga it comes from!! I mean, even though it would be intresting to see what the characters would look like as people, I don't think that means we should make live action. That's what we have Cosplay for. Also, whenever I hear live action, I think of the Power Rangers. They're awesome and all, but the villans and the action was a bit stiff. But yeah, live action = dead audience. |

Re: Is it better when anime turns into live action?

well, it depends on the anime. some anime (especially shounen), is simply impossible to have a live-action drama. though, on the other hand, shoujo mangas have more possibilities to have a live-action drama. such as nodame cantabile, kimi wa petto, itazura na kiss, lovely complex etc.
